Just bought mine yesterday and replaced my 5 year old Samsung JS8500 with it. The picture is breathtaking. This tv is an upgrade in every single respect. The TVs OS sure is an improvement over my old one too. Installing the 65" tv on the wall up high was kind of nerve racking. My wife was helping and kept trying to grab the top of the glass.
Best thing you can do is change all your modes to contrast of 80 so it prevents the screen from dimming, keep colour at 50, sharpness at 0 or 10 seems to be general consensus, OLED light at 100 won't activate the automatic brightness level so keep OLED light at 100, use warm1 or warm 2 for colour profile personally I like warm 1 rather than warm 2 but not all tv displays are calibrated the same

Thanks for you kind comments mate. Yes the C9 was slightly brighter and better with lower quality content,but then it does cost more money so is to be expected.The B9 is is still a great TV and really good value for money.

Great vidro Paul, Having had 55inch c7 & "upgraded" to 55inch c9. I don't understand why LG have decided to downgrade multiview function. Whereas In past I could select hdmi inputs for both left & right inputs. I can now only select Live TV in left input? Have you or any of your followers come across this? Can I also ask any owners of the 2019 models get in touch with LG via the website, Facebook or Twitter as this is the a massive step backwards. I have contacted them and this is a conscious decision in their part. Please get in touch and ask them to raise VOC (Voice of consumer) to the development team...Thanks and keep posting..

Like your vids very helpful. I just purchased a lg c9 77”. I love the pic quality and clarity. I have an amp with s.s. A cable box and a brand new Panasonic DVD player. I have hdmi cables from cable box, DVD player, to amp Then 1 hdmi cable to tv. Which all cables support 4K , ultra hd and hdr. I had this same cable set up on my old plasma monitor and everything worked fine. Now, I am getting audio and video from my regular non blue ray discs. But, my Blu-ray Discs I’m only getting audio. This is going through my amp and then to tv. If I go from my blu- ray directly to my tv I get pic and sound perfectly. But I want to go through my surround sound system when watching Blu-ray and it’s not letting me have video. I’ve tried a number of different Blu-ray Discs thinking maybe it was a bad Blu-ray Disc. But none of them play. Can you give any suggestions to my problem. Thank you Daniel

Refreshing to watch a video about features and not yet another calibration video ! Can the remote control your sky q / hd box ? If yes how about a video showing how to set that up ?
Yes the remote will control the Sky box. Unfortunately the TV has now gone back so i can't show that being setup. When you setup the TV for the first time and you select what you are using (Sky box) it will then tell you to press the channel up or down button on the remote and each time it will ask if it has changed the channel on the Sky box,each time it doesn't work you click no and then it will ask you to try it again until eventually it changes the channel and then you select yes. I'm hoping to get another 2019 LG OLED to try out in the near future and i will try and cover it in the unboxing of that.

Hi Paul, thank you for providing your amazing video service. I have just purchased a 65inch LG B9 and what a lovely tv it is. I have been prompted to do an update, which I have done. It started 10 hours ago and it is 20% complete. Is this normal for the B9 to take so long to update? There is a moving caption on the screen saying Invalid Service. I have checked my internet connection and all ok. I guess this means the update is progressing normally? Many thanks.
I've never had an update take that long,normally takes around 10 minutes,no more then 30 minutes at most. Might be worth you disconnecting and reconnecting it from Internet.
When I went to general settings, I do not see the eco mode option to automatically turn off the TV after a certain time. I found another option stated timers, and set the auto power off for two hours. But my tv does not turn off automatically after two hours.
T.G.: I am a new C9 Owner and was watching one of your tutorials I believe about tips and tricks, and when you pulled up it's Cursor it was not the same as one offered on my C9....started googling to find out where/how to add it to my set. I thought I heard you say that you had added it too yours??? What I found is it appears it was called Bean Bird and was dropped after 2018. Dont use the pixel refresher too often because the TV will lose its quality. I believe Sony once said that manual refresh should not be used more then once a year.
Same stupidity as with smartphones: who can build the thinnest and most-easy-to-bend one? No one needs them to be this thin. Will we ultimately get sleeves for these thin screens as we do for phones? 😂😂😂

Great videos! I would like to know if my C9 is playing HDR. I know when I start a HDR video it displays for about 1 second in top right corner HDR, but if I miss that 1 second how can I know what is playing? Any menu I can go to for finding it? Same question for Dolby Vision. It has never played a Dolby Vision logo. Also how to know if the input is UHD or HD resolution? I think this info shows up in the on screen pointer of the B7. Thanks!
Great content thank you. Ever since I bought this tv I nolonger get true dolby 5.1 through my onkyo amp/reciever via the toslink optical cable. I've tried turning off atmos, turning off sound AI, changing the sound setting from auto to dolby. Any ideas?

Do not run your manual pixel refresher unless completely necessary. It can reduce the TVs life span, also your peek nit brightness.

Great videos! I would like to know if my C9 is playing HDR. I know when I start a HDR video it displays for about 1 second in top right corner HDR, but if I miss that 1 second how can I know what is playing? Any menu I can go to for finding it? Same question for Dolby Vision. It has never played a Dolby Vision logo. Also how to know if the input is UHD or HD resolution? I think this info shows up in the on screen pointer of the B7. Thanks!

Great content thank you. Ever since I bought this tv I nolonger get true dolby 5.1 through my onkyo amp/reciever via the toslink optical cable.
I've tried turning off atmos, turning off sound AI, changing the sound setting from auto to dolby. Any ideas?

As for the screen saver,you can't change the one that comes up when there is no signal but you manually run a screen saver that makes you TV look like a piece of artwork,this video of mine shows you how to do it - ruclips.net/video/hlcwWiVAKbo/видео.html

Hello, and the vertical / bands have this oledc9, is free of that I have an oledb7p55 and after 2 years a spot appeared in the middle and after a few weeks on the sides.
