I wish it was easier to figure this puzzle out because this made no sense to me and it ended up getting Jacob killed in my playthrough
You had to add
The doors was 3 and 5 so the code is 1,2 and then 1,4

you can save him using second chance, all you had to do is just add up number as it turns out.
I'm so mad that this puzzle was the reason Jacob died and was the only one to die too.

I picked the wrong h choice and I killed my boy Jacob I was so mad but now I want to play the whole game again bc it’s just too good and fun
Actually, you can fuck this puzzle without killing Jacob by having being bit by Caleb in Chap 6, all you have to do is throw sand at Bobby to not having wolf blood on Jacob's face, fail the bridge qte IF Emma is alive, and then stop Laura to kill Nick. With all of that, you can make this scene like a piece of cake. Oh and make sure to pick up Emma's bracelet at the beginning of the game because if she got bit by Max and then you kill Chris, Emma and Jacob are both reunited. In the case Jacob was bit, having the bracelet will save Emma from his "boyfriend" who become a werewolf, not having the bracelet will cause Emma's brutal decapitation.
Sidenote : i do recommend you open Jacob's door (1+2) and Nick's door (3+4) because it leads to one of the most funniest scenes in the game. Trust me.

This code was so simple Jacob died my first play through because I over thought 😂 when it was 1 an 2 then 2 and 3
It honestly makes me mad we can’t get Jacob a fresh set of clothes and that he’s stuck in his underwear for the entire game
That is the best part tho. Seeing him shirtless and barely anything on. I know, I am a pervert.

Played on couch co-op and Jacob died cause I couldn't figure the puzzel out Laura cut the power and the doors to Jacobs cell openend
dude whenever i chose one, it automatically chose another one and travis came in. i have no idea what just happened, i listened to the video and it didn’t work, bc it chose for me
because i couldn’t figure out this goddamn puzzle, and because laura shut the power off, jacob died. i was lucky i had death rewind.
I did 1 & 4 but forgot what the second pattern I did was but it still worked. I think I did 1 & 2 for the second?

@@manymaria1115 The numbers on the door only appear for like a couple of seconds. If you looked away or didn’t see the numbers you were screwed.

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention but I thought it was as simple as pressing the number of the box that you wanted to open the door to. So whem i pressed 3 , i was really confused cause it didnt do anything.

ADDING PUZZLE:
1 + 2 = 3(JACOB'S CELL) (MUST BE DONE FIRST)
2 + 3 = 5(MIDDLE DOOR)
I did 1+4 and failed trying to get 5 first. That should be a legit solution to open the doors in another order.
but jacob dies cause of bad coding.
Kinda like how Emma is 'bitten' when reeling in the zipline despite succeeding all her QTEs and having the fireworks.

So I messed this up by accidentally pressing 3, then I realized I had messed up so I just pressed 4. then, just in case, I pressed 1 and 2 next. Jacob lived till the end of the game. what gives?

quick quesiton when im there with 4 choices i know soultion but how do i choose brekaer and and 2 hwen other than this its only 2 choice with ps4 control stick either left or right but now with 2 t olegt and 2 to right how do i chose the one i want
depending on what breaker you’re looking for, you gotta move the analogue stick in a diagonal motion. i.e. to pull breaker 2, move the analogue stick up n to the right. if you’re looking for breaker 1, move the analogue stick up n to the left. same goes for breaker 3 n 4, but move the analogue stick down then left or right when you wanna pull the ones at the bottom
I’m so pissed I replayed it to save Laura and didn’t get the door puzzle right and Travis came down. Does that mean Jacob is dead niw??

Left Analog up = 1
Left Analog down = 3
Right Analog up = 2
Right Analog down = 4
SOMEONE HELP LIKE WHAT I see different answers on what breakers to chose first, i dont want to get Jacob killed but my first playthrough i followed this and it got him killed bruh help someone
it's supposed to be 1 + 2 CONTINUE 2 + 3. I did 1 + 4 CONTINUE 1 + 2 and he was fine. i dont really get it
why this order? how it works?
You have to use two switches to open one of the doors. The number of both of the switches has to be equal to the number of the door, ex. the first door was numbered 3. The activated switches 1 and 2 add up to 3, therefore opening his door.

I hated watching a streamer do this because he suddenly got a glitch that made anything on the bottom left of the screen just be highlighted for a solid 10 minutes and we ended up killing Jacob by accident because we gave up on trying to open Jacob door
I was so mad as I thought he’ll be safer if I leave him but then Laura cut the power and he died 😭 (luckily I had the 3 revives)

I fucked this up cause I went for 3 first, when his door didnt open I added 2, so the middle door(5)was open then I stopped cause I thought the numbers were locked in now and I couldnt get the sum of 3 anymore cause I was already at 5 total, if that makes sense

I fucked up the first time getting him killed so I spent a heart to get back and didn’t know how to open his door and there’s no fucking skip cutscenes button so I’m stuck until I kill him again I guess and do it this way.
