Good point I always thought Caleb and Katie were in the woods and Chris was trying to find them. Remember Ryan asked Chris’s where they were that he hasn’t seen them in a long why’ll. And Bobby and Jedediah were hunting them down. When Lura found Chris in the cellar I believe Bobby put him there and Travis was hunting the white wolf Silas that night. When Chris was not in Werwolf form he had too keep up appearances with the summer camp and had Bobby and Jedediah out looking for Caleb and Katie. The councillors that one night messed everything up. You see Constance go down to taunt Nick in the electric gages maybe at one point Caleb and Katie got out.
Also remember that people become extremely hostile before turning, so my guess is that the family were having a discussion about what they should do tonight before Chris chained himself up, and I am sure that he had to fight to chain himself because as the moon approaches, you become more animalistic
Did you by any chance activate the "Death Rewind" thing? From my multiple tests every time I do a rewind to erase Nick's death, this particular bug happens.
Love how if you succeed the QTE on the walkway Jacob pushes Emma off and yells "sorry!" when he gets away while if he is the one in danger badass Emma just goes "Not on my watch" and fucking kicks the werewolf down 😂
My girlfriend started crying when Jacob accidentally pushed Emma, she thought that was the funniest thing in the whole game. She told me I would so be him if i were in that situation. Uuuuuunfortunately in my playthrough i fucked up letting Jacob out of the cage and Nick chowed down on some Jacob Butter ButterPops :(
The Dylan-Emma interaction from 15:00 onwards was really sweet. That little comforting 'I know' from Dylan 🥺. Sad we don't get to see much of them interacting.
To get this scene you have to choose all the pro Chris dialogue options when playing as Ryan, like when Laura shows up and during their talks later, but also in the beginning after Chris leaves. You also have to choose to listen to the podcast instead of eavesdropping at Chris's door.
It might me a scene from the movie mode where you can customize the character's traits that may lead to some special scenes like that. Not 100% sure though

Woah this feels soooo different! I kinda prefer the regular scene where they both fall in but I find it very interesting to hear the fight do down from outside the room (honestly this feels like cut content haha)
I totally agree! It feels really unfinished and janky like the developer didn't expect many players to come across this scenario. Even I'm not entirely sure how I got it to trigger ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Like if you were dismissive and frustrated with him early on, and that's why Ryan is so angry with Chris in the scene? I don't know, it really does seem like it should always play if Ryan accepted the bite, but we know that isn't the case.
6:20 not breaking in actually saved Dylan from being bit in my play through, dumb choice at first it seems but they never use their bags you break in for, so leaving it works as a distraction while Dylan plays the feedback loop, saving him from an inevitable bite
@@nicolasdinant9616 Decoy is in the cabin that Emma & Abi can break into (it isn't initially in the bags, Abi finds it in the cabin and can make the choice to take it with her or leave it), that is correct. So if you choose so save Dylan's hand early on in the game, you could very well be condemning him to death in the last chapter depending on your choices later on. The bracelet, however, is found by Jacob. I believe it was during when Jacob can walk around to find the bags and bring them to Kaitlyn. If you walk to a certain part in front of the lodge, you can find Emma's bracelet on the ground.

@@victjsofjsmdngor from my understanding, werewolves hate silver. It harms them when they touch it and it can kill them. He had it on when we have turning, but threw it on the ground right before. It was in the space between him and Emma. The silver bracelet acted in a similar way to how big sprays work on bugs - he senses the silver there and didn't want to be near it, so he ran.

Entire storylines and chances to save people are glossed over if you do a perfect run. In the end the real choices were to weather or not to completely fuck up easy QTE's
Ive seen a lot of playthroughs and admittedly this does have a lot of scenes i havent seen before! Great job! and thanks for spending so much time playing through so we could see these!

My goodness, this video is like a mine of Jacob’s hilarious moments. It’s a shame you normally don’t stumble upon them, because you miss all the moments that would make Jacob likable
This feels like a cut cutscene that they accidentally left in because it just feels unfinished in a bunch of ways. Wonder if they didn’t expect anyone to get this cutscene so they just didn’t bother or if it’s a big oversight from the studio leaving it in to be watchable with certain dialogues.
Man, I can't help but feel the most bad for Caleb. Could you imagine how he felt "waking up" let's call it, to Kaitlyn's body infront of him, while knowing very well what had happened. It must be terrifying not knowing when you'll come to infront of a dead body or not. Thanks for showing these scenes! The playthrough I watched they somehow kept everyone alive in the end (except Caleb and Constance) lol, I low-key wanted to see how their deaths were.
Why would you feel bad for Caleb? Caleb and his sister were responsible for the circus fire which killed lots of people and they are selfish jerks who don’t care about the lives of innocent people. They knew how dangerous they could be and yet they decided to run free in the forest and not lock themselves up in cages. If Caleb survives the night, he deserves to be haunted by the nightmares for the rest of his life and whenever he closes his eyes, he will remember how he caused the deaths of innocent people and how he murdered Kaitlyn brutally.

They saw a trapped being and just wanted to set it free. They were KIDS with good hearts. They obviously didn't know how bad the fire would get, they'd assume it would be put out by the time Silas was set free. How is any of that selfish? As for them running wild, it was under control until the teens decided to disobey Chris and party outside, not the hackets kids fault.

So does it mean that you feel empathy for a cursed child but not for those innocent people who died in the fire? That’s very noble of you. Even Kaylee confessed in the letter to her grandmother that she regretted everything that happened years ago. And how was it under control? Remember the missing hikers? And If Chris decided to tell the truth about the werewolves, would you still think that the counsellors would party in the forest? They partied in the forest because they have spent 2 months in the site and nothing weird happened. They were kids years ago and so you think the fire wasn’t their fault. About 5 years after, they were adults and the massacre still wasn’t their fault. They knew how dangerous they could become as werewolves and somehow their stupidity still convinced themselves that they could wander off in the forest and hunt innocent people. So you are saying, “Kaitlyn, you deserved to die because you disobeyed Chris who didn’t warn you the real danger in the camp and decided to party in a camp which you thought it was totally safe”.
I get that Ryan is bleeding heavily, but the QTE at 12:41 is just so dumb that I just burst out laughing when he reacts to his failure. Literally can't even walk on two feet without tripping over nothing.

Guys the first scene (the shocked Ryan one) is possible to do only if the game has not been updated. Seems that it got removed in the 1.02 patch of the game, unfortunately. Done a test on my PS4 deleting the game and reinstall it without the update, and I actually unlocked this event
That makes sense. Did you play Ryan as a person who didn't upset Chris in the first chapter in order to unlock the event shown in the video, and did you play his character as someone who followed the rules?

I've never seen this dialogue, but it should have been the default. In most routes I've seen, Ryan just stands there looking crazy. This dialogue at least explains what's going on with him, and adds depth. I felt Ryan had more potential, given his ties to Chris and his kids. They could have explored that more, I think.
This scene looks graphically unfinished. I think it's a cut content bc they can't put a scene looking like this in the game… all the animations and faces look so weird and robotic, the regular scene looked much better

Despite its unfinished-ness, it's a real shame the first scene isn't common. The amount of people I've seen who are so confused as to why the two don't really react to Chris' escape would be greatly diminished with the one line about him not attacking the infected.
The part where Jacob had to hold his breath in the bush but then when he failed, he held his hand out at the werewolf to try and tame it? But he forgor he had the blood on his face from Bobby, so the werewolf didn't attack. That explains why in a later chapter where Jacob and werewolf Nick are in the Hackett's basement, If Nick is still alive when Laura opens all the cages, Jacob will hold his hand out thinking it'll work again, but that time he didn't have any werewolf blood so he dies.

It does! Dylan let's both human Kaitlyn as well as Caleb out, both can survive too if you get the silver shell from Emma or abi and you just don't shoot as long as Kaitlyn is infected
You know, they really didn't think about keeping Chris properly locked up. Like, at least with Travis at the camp that night, besides Max and Laura's stupidity, Chris would've for certain, not had the chance to go on a rampage and potentially kill most (if not all) of his uninfected family. Like, the electric cages were an option for Kaylee, Caleb and Chris technically speaking, if Chris had told his family "counsellors are still here, so keep me and my kids locked in the cages for tonight," then even if the cast had just followed Chris' orders to stay inside and keep quiet while everyone else went looking for Silas, at least there wouldn't be so many deaths (potentially). Edit: Also how in the hell does that struggle for the gun with Travis and Laura wind up with, what I assume, Travis pulling the trigger on himself? He was pointing it at Laura, she put up no real fight, and what are the odds Laura would know how to turn the safety off that thing, let alone be prepared for the recoil of firing a gun so close? (I'm not a gun expert, though).
19:17 Has to be the most hilarious set of actions in the game. Travis just standing there stock still with a slight grimace on his face while Laura fumbles with the gun, him looking at her like she's stupid half way through, and then him getting shot is comedy gold.
I have a guess as to what triggers the alternate dialogue. My guess is that Ryan has to be defensive every chance he gets when talking to Laura about Chris. Then, when you are in the attic, try to stay on the left side. I’ve found that there’s a puddle of water on the right side which Laura will comment on if she gets too close to it. The water would cause her to slip, and not follow Ryan and Chris in their fall.
12:39 I'm confused, if you trap caleb in the freezer without Kaitlyn, caleb freezes to death so how does he survive when Kaitlyn was trapped in there with him. It can't be because he ate her, caleb should of froze. Also this scene is pretty sad, Dylan just hiding in fear as Kaitlyn shouts of help before she's killed by werewolf caleb
I think it's possible because: 1. Silas wasn't killed so Caleb is still infected and can't freeze to death 2. or If you kept Dylan alive he will rescue Caleb (and Kaitlyn if she was infected and Caleb didn't kill her) from the freezer in the morning btw sorry for my english
I mean... it should be obvious you can save him... all you have to do is not shoot him as Ryan after Laura transforms (but you lose a lot of other people in the process then)
This is a possible option if Ryan chooses not to shoot Chris. But I'm pretty sure Ryan dies if you pick that. Chris then escapes and finds himself with Jacob.
The first scene looks like they wanted to originally have that happen but then cut it because of the weird pacing and not enough time left during development to work on it. Basically; it's a file that shouldn't be accessible for the game to play during normal gameplay (only in development-mode).
So I’ve been noticing something when people play this game again after beating it once…maybe it’s just me but some of the scenes are SLIGHTLY different. I think that’s what may have happened in this case. If that’s confirmed to be true that’s pretty neat of Supermassive to do to make subsequent playthroughs feel fresh.

Edit: OH OH OH ALSO I want to see what happens if Kaitlyn goes to the scrapyard alone, chooses gun instead of hide, then succeeds in yanking on the chain to shift the huge metal container, but ALSO succeeds on the QTE dodging the werewolf! I have yet to see any youtuber show what happens if you do that! (If it's something that doesn't create a special scene, death or ending, then you can just let me know with a reply, but I am a junkie for this stuff, so I love seeing every different little cut scene! ((=D)
In the fright with Chris and his family after you shoot and kill Chris and the curse is lifted on Lura , Max , Ryan if he let Lura bite him and Nick. Travis will take the shard of glass and stab Lura to death then if you fail the QTE with Ryan Travis will kill Ryan too it’s pretty graphic. Too set this up all you gotta do is make Travis not trust Lura during chapter 7 and steal the cops gun and shoot Travis in Luras cell. Latter you have to keep Ryan alive long enough to shoot Werwolf Chris to break the curse then you’ll get the scene I just described.
Hi 👋🏼 I just want to confirm something. Spoiler Alert: Earlier in the poolhouse, if I'm not mistaken Laura attached some silver beads (?) from the silver shells to Abi's bracelet. Did she (Abi) get to use it later in the game to defend herself? Maybe with Emma in the storm shelter? Thanks in advance! 🙂
Strangely enough there wasn't an option for Abigail to use the silver bracelet to stop werewolf Emma from eating her. It felt like the game could have had the option where Laura would have either helped put the silver on Abi's bracelet or not based on what she thought of Ryan ( ie. if you had Ryan be antagonistic towards Laura then she'd just keep the silver to herself ), then with the silver on the bracelet it would've saved Abi later on in the storm shelter. It feels like the developer wanted to do something like that but then just didn't.

I also think that there is a segment/portion that would take place in the shop (where Emma got the shotgun) but they cut it off. The whole place is rendered and has assets. There is also a portion where Emma would unlock a locked portion of the shop (cage-like) that looks like an escape route. I think they cut that portion of the game because of budget issues. 🤷🏽♂️
I think Laura took Abi's silver bracelet and put it in a shotgun shell and gave it to her and later she can throw it to Kaitlyn if Emma is bit at the treehouse
Yes, it is used. Abi throws the shotgun shells to Kaitlyn in chapter 8 if Emma was bitten in the treehouse. Dylan opens the car door, Abi throws the shell, and Kaitlyn can shoot Emma if you choose to.

I actually watch someone's playthrough the day before the game came out (it got taken down) and this was the scene I saw. When I got to that point in the game I was surprised it was different. I have no idea how you get this scene, being completely honest I think it's from a pre-release version and that's where this person got it from.
Do you still have the save file that you used for this run? If you do, then sharing what all the paths you took are could help to isolate how to replicate it.
People complained that you can't save Chris, and yet, this video proves you CAN save him. He may still be infected, but he's still alive. Now I'm really questioning all these videos that are put up with, "All endings". Can't trust anybody these days when all they care about are views and getting up content the fastest.
When u get the QTE's and hit all the right buttons, you'll get a shorter gameplay but when u miss certain QTE's you'll get more cutscenes and longer gameplay.
It's like they really didn't expect anyone to get that first scene. The animation is so weird... like Ryan just morphs under the table as if it were against his will 😂
Do u remember if u chose to eavesdrop on Chris in chapter 1 as Ryan? Maybe choosing to not eavesdrop will lead to this extra scene? Just a thought. I def believe that theres some hidden way to save Chris and only kill Sylas, but who knows
I wish you could save Chris WITHOUT having to sacrifice Ryan (and probably Laura because i THINK Travis would Silver-Kill her if she doesnt turn back...) Funny though that THIs scenre actually tells you that getting infected CAN save you in some other situations (Kaitlyn in the Lodge)
What makes the difference between Jacob backing up in his cage when it gets unlocked and going forward and putting his arm out? I have seen it both ways
I haven't played or seen all of the game yet. But maybe this scene is rare because of something on Ryan's part. Ryan believes in Chris, but in this version of the scene Ryan feels betrayed with Chris about SOMETHING. What is that something? Or maybe you simply need to loose the gun.
20:52 I didn't really understand how do you get that ending though. Does that occur in chapter 10? Like, if Ryan spares Chris in chapter 9, does he leave the house and start chasing Jacob around? Because it's the only possibility I can think of 😕. Also, what happens if Emma was bitten by Max? There's a scene where she is full of blood, because of killing Chris and lifting her curse, and she reunites with Jacob (where he can kill her if he's infected and doesn't have the silver bracelet) but what if she's still a werewolf? To get this scene you have to choose all the pro Chris dialogue options when playing as Ryan, like when Laura shows up and during their talks later, but also in the beginning after Chris leaves. You also have to choose to listen to the podcast instead of eavesdropping at Chris's door.
As cool as that extra rare scene at the start is, it seems EXTREMELY unfinished. I wonder if it was even meant to be finalized into the game.
I think it might be from a pre-release version of the game, that's the only other place I've seen this scene.

6:20 not breaking in actually saved Dylan from being bit in my play through, dumb choice at first it seems but they never use their bags you break in for, so leaving it works as a distraction while Dylan plays the feedback loop, saving him from an inevitable bite

@@nicolasdinant9616 Decoy is in the cabin that Emma & Abi can break into (it isn't initially in the bags, Abi finds it in the cabin and can make the choice to take it with her or leave it), that is correct. So if you choose so save Dylan's hand early on in the game, you could very well be condemning him to death in the last chapter depending on your choices later on.
The bracelet, however, is found by Jacob. I believe it was during when Jacob can walk around to find the bags and bring them to Kaitlyn. If you walk to a certain part in front of the lodge, you can find Emma's bracelet on the ground.

@@victjsofjsmdngor from my understanding, werewolves hate silver. It harms them when they touch it and it can kill them. He had it on when we have turning, but threw it on the ground right before. It was in the space between him and Emma. The silver bracelet acted in a similar way to how big sprays work on bugs - he senses the silver there and didn't want to be near it, so he ran.

This feels like a cut cutscene that they accidentally left in because it just feels unfinished in a bunch of ways. Wonder if they didn’t expect anyone to get this cutscene so they just didn’t bother or if it’s a big oversight from the studio leaving it in to be watchable with certain dialogues.
Man, I can't help but feel the most bad for Caleb. Could you imagine how he felt "waking up" let's call it, to Kaitlyn's body infront of him, while knowing very well what had happened. It must be terrifying not knowing when you'll come to infront of a dead body or not. Thanks for showing these scenes! The playthrough I watched they somehow kept everyone alive in the end (except Caleb and Constance) lol, I low-key wanted to see how their deaths were.
Why would you feel bad for Caleb? Caleb and his sister were responsible for the circus fire which killed lots of people and they are selfish jerks who don’t care about the lives of innocent people.
They knew how dangerous they could be and yet they decided to run free in the forest and not lock themselves up in cages.
If Caleb survives the night, he deserves to be haunted by the nightmares for the rest of his life and whenever he closes his eyes, he will remember how he caused the deaths of innocent people and how he murdered Kaitlyn brutally.

They knew how dangerous they could become as werewolves and somehow their stupidity still convinced themselves that they could wander off in the forest and hunt innocent people. So you are saying, “Kaitlyn, you deserved to die because you disobeyed Chris who didn’t warn you the real danger in the camp and decided to party in a camp which you thought it was totally safe”.

Guys the first scene (the shocked Ryan one) is possible to do only if the game has not been updated. Seems that it got removed in the 1.02 patch of the game, unfortunately. Done a test on my PS4 deleting the game and reinstall it without the update, and I actually unlocked this event

I've never seen this dialogue, but it should have been the default. In most routes I've seen, Ryan just stands there looking crazy. This dialogue at least explains what's going on with him, and adds depth.
I felt Ryan had more potential, given his ties to Chris and his kids. They could have explored that more, I think.

Despite its unfinished-ness, it's a real shame the first scene isn't common. The amount of people I've seen who are so confused as to why the two don't really react to Chris' escape would be greatly diminished with the one line about him not attacking the infected.

Jacob doesn't know that the monsters are Werewolves or that they are the Hacketts so this must if been really awkward and confusing...
The part where Jacob had to hold his breath in the bush but then when he failed, he held his hand out at the werewolf to try and tame it? But he forgor he had the blood on his face from Bobby, so the werewolf didn't attack. That explains why in a later chapter where Jacob and werewolf Nick are in the Hackett's basement, If Nick is still alive when Laura opens all the cages, Jacob will hold his hand out thinking it'll work again, but that time he didn't have any werewolf blood so he dies.

You know, they really didn't think about keeping Chris properly locked up. Like, at least with Travis at the camp that night, besides Max and Laura's stupidity, Chris would've for certain, not had the chance to go on a rampage and potentially kill most (if not all) of his uninfected family. Like, the electric cages were an option for Kaylee, Caleb and Chris technically speaking, if Chris had told his family "counsellors are still here, so keep me and my kids locked in the cages for tonight," then even if the cast had just followed Chris' orders to stay inside and keep quiet while everyone else went looking for Silas, at least there wouldn't be so many deaths (potentially).
Edit: Also how in the hell does that struggle for the gun with Travis and Laura wind up with, what I assume, Travis pulling the trigger on himself? He was pointing it at Laura, she put up no real fight, and what are the odds Laura would know how to turn the safety off that thing, let alone be prepared for the recoil of firing a gun so close? (I'm not a gun expert, though).

I have a guess as to what triggers the alternate dialogue. My guess is that Ryan has to be defensive every chance he gets when talking to Laura about Chris. Then, when you are in the attic, try to stay on the left side. I’ve found that there’s a puddle of water on the right side which Laura will comment on if she gets too close to it. The water would cause her to slip, and not follow Ryan and Chris in their fall.
Oh and Ryan has to be bitten.

I think it's possible because:
1. Silas wasn't killed so Caleb is still infected and can't freeze to death
2. or If you kept Dylan alive he will rescue Caleb (and Kaitlyn if she was infected and Caleb didn't kill her) from the freezer in the morning

The first scene looks like they wanted to originally have that happen but then cut it because of the weird pacing and not enough time left during development to work on it. Basically; it's a file that shouldn't be accessible for the game to play during normal gameplay (only in development-mode).

So I’ve been noticing something when people play this game again after beating it once…maybe it’s just me but some of the scenes are SLIGHTLY different. In the fright with Chris and his family after you shoot and kill Chris and the curse is lifted on Lura , Max , Ryan if he let Lura bite him and Nick. Travis will take the shard of glass and stab Lura to death then if you fail the QTE with Ryan Travis will kill Ryan too it’s pretty graphic. Too set this up all you gotta do is make Travis not trust Lura during chapter 7 and steal the cops gun and shoot Travis in Luras cell. Latter you have to keep Ryan alive long enough to shoot Werwolf Chris to break the curse then you’ll get the scene I just described.

Strangely enough there wasn't an option for Abigail to use the silver bracelet to stop werewolf Emma from eating her. It felt like the game could have had the option where Laura would have either helped put the silver on Abi's bracelet or not based on what she thought of Ryan ( ie. if you had Ryan be antagonistic towards Laura then she'd just keep the silver to herself ), then with the silver on the bracelet it would've saved Abi later on in the storm shelter. It feels like the developer wanted to do something like that but then just didn't.

I see... maybe because of budget constraints? I also think that there is a segment/portion that would take place in the shop (where Emma got the shotgun) but they cut it off. The whole place is rendered and has assets. There is also a portion where Emma would unlock a locked portion of the shop (cage-like) that looks like an escape route. I think they cut that portion of the game because of budget issues. 🤷🏽♂️

Yes, it is used. Abi throws the shotgun shells to Kaitlyn in chapter 8 if Emma was bitten in the treehouse. Dylan opens the car door, Abi throws the shell, and Kaitlyn can shoot Emma if you choose to.

You need to have Constance shoot Laura in the room for that to happen. Do "Distract" and not press anything when the "Spit" option pops up.
you have to fail the QTE when Jedediah is aiming for Laura so he shoots her and wakes up in that room
