About the cage of Silas, i believe his mother know a thing or two about werewolves, nothing in the game suggest otherwise, also i think it's possible the bars been made of silver, tbh the rest of it still wooden and pretty fragile.
I find it baffling how they managed to make the game mechanics worse than their previous titles. QTE is so easy and boring in this game. Dialogue choices consists of: be good/honest vs be evil/dishonest or pick/give the gun. That's it. Also no character's charts to at least tell us who is close to who. They all looked like acquaintances rather than good friends. It does not even make sense they ended up together in a camp since they had nothing in common with each other. Until Dawn is still the favorite imo.
So there is actually quite a bit of Silas Content in the end. I had the first scenario...you never get a good view of him there. But in the others he is all up in your face.
I love the the whole werewolf lore of the game, but I am super sad that you can't 'just hunt the white wolf' to cure everybody else? In my first run I thought 'okay, let's not kill Chris, let him live, kill the alpha wolf and everyone is cured' YA NO. you don't even get to Silas anymore because Travis and Ryan just die when you don't kill Chris :'D
@@willholt9461 exactly the same for me! I got confused when Ryan held up the shotgun and though it was Laura and then everyone in the room died including Laura and Travis 🤣
Exactly, I don’t really like the fact that no matter what the Hacketts turn on you. Would’ve been cooler to have a path where you and the Hacketts team up and track down the white wolf and have a final boss fight
Technically Travis and Chris can both survive- though Laura and Ryan won't. When you have the option to shoot Chris, you can actually look over to Travis and Laura's scuffle and shoot Laura. Laura dies and Chris still mauls Ryan but Travis manages to slip away with his life.
Lmao when he called me a stupid girl I decided not to shoot him out of spite. And then Laura shot Travis💀💀 i thought the wolf would wake up and attack but I guess that worked too. 😂

If The Quarry was an actual movie, the last option would be the most poetic. Depending on the fate of the other counselors, killing Silas with your last breath is a pyrrhic victory. When I first played this part, I expected a huge showdown with everyone splitting up and you having to chose between wasting your shots at rustling bushes, not knowing if it's Silas or a friendly. In a way I'm happy it wasn't that horrifying, but shooting that roadkill in his crib felt kind of too easy 😅
It started with a car crash and ended with a car crash. Makes sense to me and the perfect ending. Laura and Silas taking each other out. Caleb and Kaitlyn only ones to survive. Caleb being blamed for the murders
It's annoying how *failing* the gun qte with Travis is the exact same as *succeeding* the gun qte with Constance: the gun goes off and kills them accidentally
Honestly speaking, I don't see any problem with Silas' design. Those red eyes and the albinism really gets to me, and it also looks like he is larger than the other werewolves. But MAN was the ending such a letdown, I knew from the beginning that this game won't be as good as until dawn and it actually turned out better than what I expected, but that Ending was such a weak point.
This ending was just pitiful imo. With Until Dawn it was a race against two super monsters, time, and your own body. Having to find a way to get everyone who was still alive out of the house, while also being put in more danger. Then your reward at the end was watching the beasts who brutalized your friends and allies get blown to hell at the flick of a light switch. But The Quarry, you see Silas a handful of times, but hear his name more. Then once the time to kill him finally comes, that "light switch" moment is two button presses, then the big bad wolf, the enemy of my enemy is just gone. Role credits game over. And don't get me started on the podcast segment.
Also, there's another one where you shoot Travis when he falls to the ground after saying he should've shot you when he had the chance. Almost the same as the misfire I guess.
she got mad at me because i chose to raise my gun in the showdown then she said "I KNOW WHAT YOU TRIED TO DO" like you think i somehow made a mistake of shooting a still shot in his crib??
I’m still sad that there was no hierarchy among the wolves. Like Silas should have been the Alpha, and all big and beefy/ intimidating as he was the first werewolf
@@rachelstec7977 wolf pack dynamics dont work like that. The 'alphas' are the parents, they're not really special. However, for a video game, I agree he shouldve been different enough that we can recognize him from the get-go. Hearing him called the white wolf and hearing Ryan say he saw him was confusing to me because he didnt look different from the rest at all every time I saw him. I'm only finally seeing the differences in this video where you have to let him shine to the other character's detriment, lmao
@@floperez355 Because it was stated in the whole game that Silas was the "white wolf"? Even Ryan said "oh I saw the white wolf" after they talk about him. And everybody made a big deal about him like not being able to catch or find him for 6 years or something. The game made he seem like somebody special from the others.
ive never seen the second ending before- thats so interesting! im guessing now that laura's hesitation wasnt of her own will and was maybe Eliza getting into her head. interesting how discreet things like failed QTE's can lead to totally different outcomes.
man suppermassive games just had something against ryan, everyone usually gets ripped apart or head torn off or something basic like a fatality, but RYAN, man, that jaw drop makes me hurt...
i agree with some of the complaints Silas deffo should have been a burly white fur'd werewolf. they built him up so well and then he ends up just being another of the same we had been seeing.
It actually leads to the first scenario in the video. I cut out that part since I didn't think it was too necessary ( but now that I think about it maybe there are some people who didn't see the part where Travis runs over Silas if you do all the QTEs right ) to showcase the showdown between Travis, Ryan & Laura against Silas.
At this point I don’t think Ryan is human I mean nor got his whole jaw ripped off and is alive and when you shoot lauara when your supposed to shoot Chris as Ryan Chris still bashes the shotgun in Ryan’s face but he is still alive for like 2 seconds you know that cause you he hear like screaming and like gulping WHEN HIS MOUTH IS LITERALLY GONE
in my first playthrough, I thought if I didn't shoot Silas, I would unlock some sort of secret ending but no... I only got Travis, Ryan and Laura killed, which pissed me off so much lol
Question when Laura refuses to kill Silas and giving the whole "he's just a boy" stuff does that have to do with his mother effecting her or something? I get that it's a decision you can make but even then it feels out of character for her considering depending on how u play u can literally wipe out the whole Hackett family and she felt little remorse doing that. I feel like it would have made more sense if she had hesitated and then Silas noticed them, that would have for one made it an actual show down and two a tad more explanation because idk didn't entirely feel like the kinda move she would play yk.

@@tarableday That makes no sense, because Silas was the one that bit and infected Caleb before the fire. So, Silas must've been a werewolf long before all of this.
I know this guy is supposed to ultimate strong werewolf or some shit but do some of the deaths by him seem half assed in animation or should I just take it as him being strong and fast? Scary either way lol
The problem with Silas is that the game treats his “showdown” as a big moral decision but we aren’t given any reason why we should feel sympathy for the guy, like literally the whole night he has been killing and terrorising the councillors who we actually have a connection to
He didn't kill anyone though, only bit Caleb on accident 6 years before the game started. Also if you found a certain tarot card it shows part of his backstory and him being tortured. Also the fact he was curled up crying for whatever reason and not responding to the characters speaking even though the creatures are known to have strong hearing made him seem different. But nope, just lazy writing
You need to find all the evidence and clues collectibles to get that message on the computer screen at the end. A bit of a let down for all the work getting them all. Would have loved like an interview like they did with Until Dawn at the end of the game with the two podcasters in person.
Is just me or is anyone else disapointed with the werewolf design?i mean, it looks just like a bit changed wendigo from until dawn.. Monster is cool and all but seemed a bit lazy....
Silas was so disappointing. I expected some QTE chase and some intense things going on maybe with the hag girl trying to distract you by appearing and scaring you or something. On top of that Silas looked almost identical to the other wolves but he was white, which was very hard to see judging how he was covered in blood and the shading made him look about the same color. I thought he would have been a big wolf, with white long fur, menacing eyes, or just a distinct look that differed him from the others. it would make sense why the other wolves looked more humanoid because they weren't originally cursed to make them an actual "wolf"
5:31 Uh, what is this? The blood doesn't protect you from the werewolves lmao. It only masks your scent so you can more easily hide from them. Jacob was blooded, but was still chased and killed if werewolves physically saw him. Silas literally wouldn't spare Laura just because of the blood on her face, that doesn't work that way. Did they forget how their own plot devices work lmao
Am I the only dude who hates how Silas, instead of being a werewolf with white fur who is titled the white wolf, just has slightly white albino skin? Scratch that none of the werewolves look like werewolves, they look like mutated goblins
Travis: "he's responsible for so much death!" Laura: "says you!" GIRL. 20 minutes ago you killed his parents and niece. You're the last person who should call him out on being murderer lmao. The same this happened in the car.
I would love to have this....Infection, I suppose? You would potentially be unkillable, and have an outrageous healing factor with pretty decent strength just in base. If you were literally alone in life, you could use this infection to cause some damage and unless someone knew about the silver, nobody could stop you.
yea, until you start loving people and then kill the people you love. the benefits on the physical health side are amazing, but i don’t think your mental health would benefit from it.

About the cage of Silas, i believe his mother know a thing or two about werewolves, nothing in the game suggest otherwise, also i think it's possible the bars been made of silver, tbh the rest of it still wooden and pretty fragile.
Agree
I find it baffling how they managed to make the game mechanics worse than their previous titles. QTE is so easy and boring in this game. Dialogue choices consists of: be good/honest vs be evil/dishonest or pick/give the gun. That's it. Also no character's charts to at least tell us who is close to who. They all looked like acquaintances rather than good friends. It does not even make sense they ended up together in a camp since they had nothing in common with each other.
Until Dawn is still the favorite imo.
I thought it was "kill Silas and survive" or "spare him and die" but this is super fascinating I'm excited to see how far I can take this game
4:53 I love how Ryan jumps in front of Laura to save her and she has no reaction to his death whatsoever

I like how if laura doesn’t shoot but takes the blood she just watches as Ryan gets decimated

I care about Ryan a lot man seeing him die hurts a lot I want him succeed in life 😭
I hate a love hate for him and his deaths hurt the most
What heresy is this. Everyone knows Dylan is best.
is it just me or do the werewolves here kind of look like more muscular versions of the wendigos from until dawn
Yeah, both are extremely humanoid so I guess that's most of the resemblance
Yeah, they're just wendigos but with a small snout and digitigrade legs.
So there is actually quite a bit of Silas Content in the end. I had the first scenario...you never get a good view of him there. But in the others he is all up in your face.
Sadly you dont get an up close look at his human form.
seeing ryan get in front of laura to protect her makes me so sad omf
I love the the whole werewolf lore of the game, but I am super sad that you can't 'just hunt the white wolf' to cure everybody else?
In my first run I thought 'okay, let's not kill Chris, let him live, kill the alpha wolf and everyone is cured'
YA NO.
you don't even get to Silas anymore because Travis and Ryan just die when you don't kill Chris :'D
Bra I thought Chris was Laura so I didn’t shoot and got one of the worse endings 😭🤦🏽♂️
@@boardiesboi I had the most shocking facial expression when that happened like I killed 4 people on one action 😭

When Laura was crawling out of the car why was she screaming
@@fergalicious_ Probably broken bones.
Fr we at least needed better evidence involvement and more choices with Silas like we don’t even need visual changes just spice it up
I will admit Travis took that shot like a fucking boss
I respect the game so much more after seeing all the options!
It would be been cool if Silas was actually a hairy werewolf.
Thank you! Other videos I've watched have been dark as hell, I couldn't see anything going on
It's probably to prevent the algo from catching all the gore 😂

yes I am aware ... shooting him doesn't really result in anything interesting. leaving him to silas was more interesting.
@@ChengTeohThen don't do clickbait by pretending it's all the choices you freaking liar.
Ryan’s death gotta be the most gruesome
The fact Eliza gets mad when he doesn’t die really upsets me how you mad because I let him live isn’t that what you wanted

Because she's EVIL, she TRICKED you is what this implies. Its like a bully telling you you're friends before taking all your money by asking for it.
Isn't it because you left at least 1 Hackett alive? She wants them all dead
she got mad at me because i chose to raise my gun in the showdown then she said "I KNOW WHAT YOU TRIED TO DO" like you think i somehow made a mistake of shooting a still shot in his crib??
She always gets mad when you even get close to silas. The only way to satisfy her is kill all the hacketts and never go after silas
I’m still sad that there was no hierarchy among the wolves. Like Silas should have been the Alpha, and all big and beefy/ intimidating as he was the first werewolf
I don’t get why you think that being the first werewolf should make him any different than the others
@@floperez355 I don’t. I think being the alpha should make him distinguishable (not different) from the others

Poor ryan, he was my favorite character and his jaw got disembodied along with his life
Everything in this game is shinny. Skin, shirts, paper. The light penetrates nothing and it puts it in solid uncanny valley territory.
I'm not sure if getting your jaw ripped out and then gagging as your intestines are ripped and eaten is considered "an instant"
Finally a video of this game where i can actually see something
even the podcast ending changes- thats so cool! i wonder how many podcast variations there are. so far, ive seen 3
Goodness Ryan's death was horrifying
He should’ve healed
ive never seen the second ending before- thats so interesting! im guessing now that laura's hesitation wasnt of her own will and was maybe Eliza getting into her head. interesting how discreet things like failed QTE's can lead to totally different outcomes.
man suppermassive games just had something against ryan, everyone usually gets ripped apart or head torn off or something basic like a fatality, but RYAN, man, that jaw drop makes me hurt...
i agree with some of the complaints Silas deffo should have been a burly white fur'd werewolf. they built him up so well and then he ends up just being another of the same we had been seeing.
I don’t want to know how much pain Ryan went through after his entire jaw got clawed off as he can somehow still scream and is alive 0_0
These werewolves are as if professor Lupin had kids.
7:17 that close up is scaryyy
The ending where everyone dies is so gnarly no one knows about the werewolf running free in the world now
How did you get your brightness setting so on-point? It looks amazing
maxed out the brightness in the game settings. had a couple of people thanking me for making videos that aren't too dark 😂
@@ChengTeoh yea the game is already dark and youtube naturally darkens videos and people seem to overlook that when uploading this

I wonder how much more gruesome some of those scenes would be if you turned on the "Gorefest" mode.
There are 186 endings after all
Wow, had no idea. What happens though if Laura does the QTE in the car? I assume that would prevent Travis from getting his head ripped off?
It actually leads to the first scenario in the video. I cut out that part since I didn't think it was too necessary ( but now that I think about it maybe there are some people who didn't see the part where Travis runs over Silas if you do all the QTEs right ) to showcase the showdown between Travis, Ryan & Laura against Silas.
@@ChengTeoh Gotcha, thanks!
Ryan’s Jaw has left the chat
Same thing happened to me, thought for sure it wouldn't be that simple but yep, it was
Truly blame yourself😂
Question when Laura refuses to kill Silas and giving the whole "he's just a boy" stuff does that have to do with his mother effecting her or something? I get that it's a decision you can make but even then it feels out of character for her considering depending on how u play u can literally wipe out the whole Hackett family and she felt little remorse doing that. I feel like it would have made more sense if she had hesitated and then Silas noticed them, that would have for one made it an actual show down and two a tad more explanation because idk didn't entirely feel like the kinda move she would play yk.
why this video brighter than other videos i watched 😅
Probably to avoid the showing too much blood? I'm fully expecting this video to get aged soon.

If I’m correct Eliza cursed Silas and he became a werewolf
eliza was prolly messing around with black magic and ended up cursing her son on accident
i think its meant to be up to interpretation, I like to think she cursed him to become one at the time of the fire when she died to get revenge on the Hackett’s
@@tarableday That makes no sense, because Silas was the one that bit and infected Caleb before the fire.
So, Silas must've been a werewolf long before all of this.
Isa Solórzano No the fire is what allowed him to escape, he bit him soon after he escaped the cage and fire

Why did Silas suddenly become easy to find that month? If Travis and the Hackett had been looking for six years, what made this month so special?
the power of annoying teenagers made silas come out and want to shut them up

I have tried watching this on a few other channels and it was way to dark so thank for you for making this viewable (if thats even a word lol)
Not a problem. I absolutely understand why the other channels are doing their videos that way.
I have no idea what sensible person would genuinely hesitate for something that will not hesitate to tear you to shreds.
Why does Silas look like a kid version of Baraka from Mortal Kombat instead of a wolfman?
I know this guy is supposed to ultimate strong werewolf or some shit but do some of the deaths by him seem half assed in animation or should I just take it as him being strong and fast? Scary either way lol
Yea some of the clean decapitation kills look pretty lame
The problem with Silas is that the game treats his “showdown” as a big moral decision but we aren’t given any reason why we should feel sympathy for the guy, like literally the whole night he has been killing and terrorising the councillors who we actually have a connection to
He didn't kill anyone though, only bit Caleb on accident 6 years before the game started. Also if you found a certain tarot card it shows part of his backstory and him being tortured. Also the fact he was curled up crying for whatever reason and not responding to the characters speaking even though the creatures are known to have strong hearing made him seem different. But nope, just lazy writing
"Huh, huh? Hows that for you ya fu-"
how’s that feel*
Ah so there is a resolution for finding enough evidence.
You need to find all the evidence and clues collectibles to get that message on the computer screen at the end. A bit of a let down for all the work getting them all. Would have loved like an interview like they did with Until Dawn at the end of the game with the two podcasters in person.
@@ChengTeoh Yeah there were definitely moments in this game where a bit more would have been appreciated

I agree it hardly even looks like a werewolf most people wouldn’t even be able to tell that’s a werewolf
@2:30 she only blinks with one eye
Jesus Silas kills Ryan in the most brutal way where he is still alive during it
Silas was so disappointing.
5:31
Uh, what is this? The blood doesn't protect you from the werewolves lmao. It only masks your scent so you can more easily hide from them.
Jacob was blooded, but was still chased and killed if werewolves physically saw him. Silas literally wouldn't spare Laura just because of the blood on her face, that doesn't work that way. Did they forget how their own plot devices work lmao
Ryan died terribly holy shit!
I like how peoples heads just come off
Honestly out of all of the wolf's Chris's wolf design has to be my favorite he's the only one that really looks like a werewolf to me
Is it possible to have only Laura and Travis in this scene? (I mean the scene in the forest with Silas in his cage).
From what I can tell I don't think so.
Yeah you cant because the only reason they know where silas is, is because of Ryan.
I got like the worst possible ending ever. Almost everybody was killed or infected 💀
most of travis' deaths is just him ethier getting beheaded or shot lol
Am I the only dude who hates how Silas, instead of being a werewolf with white fur who is titled the white wolf, just has slightly white albino skin? Scratch that none of the werewolves look like werewolves, they look like mutated goblins
