What did you think about the fight?
Errol is levels above mikey SKILL-wise.
Errol would do this regardless of weight, because he is faster, has better feet, better reflexes, and more length.
Punishment for 12 rounds
He couldn't KO a significantly smaller man. I was impressed w his boxing skills but disappointed by his power. Full flush shot w everything he has and couldn't even have the boy shook.

Just when I thought I knew how the fight would turn out; I figured Spence should try to get him out of there quickly; but Spence showed great lateral movement, a great jab, great head movement; definitely the truth.
Don't forget an amazing defense. EJ doesn't get nearly enough credit for his defense. He's always got his gloves in the right spot and has a knack for picking off punches.

I think the way he fought this fight would make ppl not so scared to fight him, which was in my opinion apart of his point of fighting that way. I dont think we seen the same fight, in the later rounds Errol was clearly playing with him. Chasing him around the ring with a smile on his face.
An even if Errol was trying to KO him, he was trying in that BOXING style to do it, which is NOT his normal style, WHILE Garcia is just in defense the WHOLE TIME.
Hard to knock a guy out that is a good defensive fighter an plays defense the whole time an not getting on the offensive to open hiself up to get hit thoroughly.
Look at spence fight vs brook and some of his other fights, his normal style is more aggressive & tactical, he breaks you down on a fundamental level, body included, then KO's you.
The different style he fought in tonight which was BOXING, was done on purpose bcuz of what ppl kept saying about his lack of skills & ring IQ, etc.
He took garcia to school, point blank.

Respect to Mikey for moving up two weight classes to fight Spence. If you're trying to be the best you got to fight the best.
From watching him work out I think he thought if he could keep his left foot outside Spence's right foot he could avoid Spence's left hand. I watched him work on the pads and the guy holding the pads was in a south paw position. Mikey was moving to his left and firing combinations without really planting his feet so he could keep Spence's right foot inside his. The game plan fell apart because of the Spence jab which was able to stall Mikey's movement to the left. It would take a fighter like Pernell Whittaker for that to work. Mikey wasn't nearly slick enough.

I'm a huge fan of boxing & I use to box when I was younger.. I went to this event & saw it live. The fight was amazing & so was the crowd. We are seeing a real champion in the making, like a young Muhammad Ali. Errol is doing so much for the sport & big things for Dallas, TX.. I will be at his next fight & can't wait to see Spence vs Pacquiao! I truly believe we are watching history in the making. Hats off to Errol Spence Jr!
