you should be picky. it’s expensive and something that is going to be worn for a major lifetime event.
The bride's sister looks like a 70's filmic diva! Stunning girl and trying to keep the cool after noticing her sister was struggling in her choice.
In the other hand, the bride rocked it on the 4th dress, really fitting, glamorous and shiny. The last dress was so beautiful, the fish tail was amazing and the lace was beautifully designed; the body shape was spectacular.
The actress/model is Mariel Hemingway, looks very much like the beautiful sister when she was that age.
@@ksully6551 she sure does look like Mariel.
Yes! I kept thinking she looked like a model from the 70s or 80s.
I was thinking same about the sister! she gives that 70's gorgeous femme fatale! And the Bride picked right dress beautiful :)
@@ksully6551 Mariel Hemingway or a very young Lauren Hutton
David had to have lots of patience for this bride but she was honest about it all and not a pain.
How are you doing today u
Patience was not exactly what I saw.
It’s because she knows what she wants but cannot express or explain it. He was really professional and she was trying hard! I totally get her. I still had no idea until i tried 9 dresses. Wedding dresses are so different from normal clothing.
I feel like David repeats “wow” many times prematurely just to get the bride excited so they’ll hurry up and pick the dress 😂
I hate false hope from attendants who try to influence the bride for quick $$$.
I hate when they call them picky. I typically agree with them, they keep putting on dresses that don't flatter them
Well, in this case, she was pretty picky, however, it’s an expensive purchase, so she should be happy with what she chooses. I think the issue was she had no idea what she wanted, and couldn’t really articulate what she disliked about dresses, and if there was anything she liked about a dress to give the consultants an idea of what might work for her
Everytime they turn down a dress I can understand why, and then when they pick a dress I can understand why also. Like I see their vision of themselves. The last one I watched had two gorgeous dresses she couldnt decide but she was leaning more towards the simpler one n even put it back on but her friends wanted her to have the more modern sexier one n she was confused. She looked gorgeous in both but i understood why she was leaning towards the simpler one even tho it wasnt quite my favorite either I started liking it more n more on her n could understand her vision of herself. & just like you said. They keep putting on unflattering dresses and i always agree with their final choice.
A REID SO TRUE. I HAVE THE SAME OPINION. THAT'S RIGHT CONSULTANT HAD NO VISION THOUGHT THID FROM THE BEGINNING. ❣
When I was dress shopping I was told I was never going to find the perfect dress because I was being "picky" I only tried on 5 or 6 dresses and I feel like I settled for something I didn't want. You should be allowed to be picky if you're spending thousands of dollars
well is not that she is a picky bride, she just wanted to look fabulous and feel fabulous.
That's literally every bride's goal.
Right? I've been sewing for 3-4 years now and thanks so that I KNEW what I wanted down to the details. I joked that if I bought my dress instead of made it, I'd bring a 2 page list of demands and have the exact lace and seam placements and exact fabrics to use written down.
She has a very, very, VERY long way to go to look "fabulous."
I love how as soon as the bride says no to only three dresses she’s labeled “picky” like she’s spending thousands of dollars on a dress. Also her sister is gorgeous, for some reason she reminds me of the movie labyrinth
I dont think it was so much that she had turned down 3 dresses, but there still wasn't a picture in mind - they didnt have a preferred neckline, silhouette etc.
I tried on at least 50 dresses.
I agree. It’s right to bee picky when spending that amount of money
They only showed three but she may have trued on more than that and they were edited out
@@southernhippie9058 The way that the sister was yawning, it was probably a lot more than 3.
Imagine being a bride and being excited to find the right dress, only to be told “you’re becoming a bit of a problem” 😬 I wouldn’t have bought a dress from them!
I reckon this happens so often...I went to a couple of shops and the pressure/attitude was horrendous :O
Agreed
He's practically royalty so I don't see too many doing that
@@audrab27 I don’t know though, I wouldn’t say him designing Princess Diana’s dress makes him basically royalty but I guess that’s just my opinion 😊
I agree, this is so typical of David Emanuel, he does this everytime and I find it completely disrespectful. He's the worst in the series...
Five dresses is all it took? I would have tried many more to make sure it was the one 😂
LOL i would try AT LEAST 20
5 is what they showed on TV in an 8 min segment
I don't know, when you try something on and you know...YOU KNOW
I am glad she found something that she loved. Not everyone has a clear vision and they have to try on more than 5 dresses to figure out what they want. She was open and honest and thankfully David was patient with her and listened to what she was actually saying and they didn’t go over budget. She actually looked amazing in many of the gowns, they just weren’t what she wanted and she had to try it on to figure it out.
According to another commenter, she didn't even get married in this dress. Her sister's Instagram is public and you can see what she wore there; a lacy A line with a V-neck.
@@kp4911 Thanks for letting me know. I will check it out.
@@kp4911 as far as I understand the shows get shown before the wedding so a lot of brides end up not wanting to buy them on the show
I don't think he said a bit of a problem rudely. More like a Dad trying to help his little girl.
I do think the dress she chose looked lovely.
But when she & her friend came into the shop the sales lady never spoke to the friend. That I thought was insensitive.
As a soon to be bride I can understand her nit picking. You’re spending money on a very expensive dress; if there’s a even a sliver of doubt, most brides dictate it’s not THE dress. To add on a further note, some bridal shops can be pushy/pressuring and curt with you because commission. Some shops aren’t. I’ve had two different experiences so far and the consultant’s attitude and their range for price/styles are what makes a bride come back. I would go back to the first one but not the second shop lol
1st dress: she looks cut in half
2nd dress: eh
3rd dress: silhouette is amazing on her but the neck line was too stiff
4th dress: absolutely beautiful on her
5th dress: amazing!
Agree - That the 4th dress was amazing and how could she say that there wasn't a Wow factor.
I am glad there are viewers like you who understand the nuance of each dress. Some attendants offer the most horrible choices. Each bride really has a custom look that they need to find. Most of the time these videos end happily. I've seen some though that were horror shows...LOL!
The sister's pick was gorgeous 😰
How could she say there's no wow factor 🤪🤪🤪
Didn't like it, made her look narrow at the top
Well, that is her dress. The bride-to-be must love the dress
Agreed, I adored the sister's pick on the bride. The back of that one was gorgeous.
Agree, it was the best
Although I felt that it had too much bling (note that the bride's subsequent choice had NO bling), I LOVED this silhouette on the bride.
I've tried on more than 12 pairs of jeans and didn't find any i liked. Why is trying on 3 dresses picky?
Right? I had three different appointments, two different consultants, and finally found my dress myself online. I tried it on when I went in for appointment #3 and loved it! It was dress #13.
Specilly when she npt even know what shape she want. So first she need to find what she likes and dislikes to even start to try dresses for real.
He has to say what's scripted---he's only an employee in the store, not the owner, and doesn't have the luxury of going off-script to say whatever he really thinks.
He's actually the host and creative director of SYTTD
@@zeldagoblin and yet not the producer. So follow the script.
her sister looks like she came straight out a 80's magazine cover. she' very beautiful
She reminds me of the actress Mariel Hemingway from the 1970s and 80s.
"I don't really know what I want, they don't know what I want"
Dear, even Charles Xavier can't understand what you want.
😂😂😂😂
I love how the bride says at the very beginning, "I do have a certain look I'm going for, I'm just not sure what that is at the moment"... At least she gave them a heads up it was going to be confusing! I would have no idea where to go with that statement!
I hate it when they say you're becoming a bit of a problem, that's your job and it's her big day so she can be a big problem to find her perfect dress
Dress 4 was stunning. Definitely my favourite on her but she chose the dress she loved and that looked lovely too. It’s such a personal thing and it’s how a bride feels in it and no one can decide that but the bride, so I don’t think she was picky at all!! 💕💫
Why do they act as if 5 dresses are a lot? I tried 6 dresses and put on my 3 favorites a second time just to make sure the one is the one. And nobody acted like it was too much. We actually took less time than planned
Her sister is STUNNING!!! 😍😍
Didn't David suggest those exact type of ruffles with the first group of dresses? I thought she hated that?? I would be so confused and anxiety ridden!! Bravo to these patient people! Thanks for sharing this, really enjoyed it!
“No compromise for my wedding dress, it has to be perfect”, says all bride ever
That's not at all true. Not the least bit true, not in any way, shape, form or fashion.
Usually the problem is do they have the budget for perfect
Since when is trying on 4 dresses being picky?! How many pairs of jeans or tops do you normally try on before buying? Weding dresses cost over 10 times more than you'd pay for another item of clothing.
"You're becoming a little bit of a problem".... "Forgive me, I'll go be a problem somewhere else " 🙄
David was determined to find the dress she would love. Now that's a professional. The bride looks lovely in her choice. Hope she didn't change her mind later.
The consultants are so rude. I tried on 5 dresses when I bought mine and was certainly not made to feel like a pain. They didn't rush me and said I could try as many as I wanted. If they'd told me I was difficult I'd have left!
David's overly dramatic spin and hair flick at 5:26 🤣🤣🤣
6:40 - Veil is on
6:48 - Veil is off, presumably in Zoe's hands?
6:55 - Veil is back on
7:00 - Veil is off
7:16 - Veil is back on
I saw my dress 3 years before I met my husband. I think my dress was almost out of style when I found it in a bridal dress shop. It was a designer brand. I paid under $300 for it + alterations were more ...
The first time I’ve heard David respond with an excited “No!!” after a bride says yes to the dress 😂
I love Zoe’s 50/60’s style, it suits her so well
I think the problem is that the collection of dresses are not great, all of them are such meh dresses and also David emmanual is rude and I wouldn't want him to do my bridal appointment. Why does he think that a bride should choose the 1st, 2nd or 3rd dress they try on? Your wedding day is the biggest day and people are spending thousands of pounds on a dress so if they have to try on 10 or 12 dresses so be it 🤷 and also if the stylist isn't skilled in understanding the bride and communicating / building rapport than that definitely impedes the chance of a bride finding the one
Beautiful dress, it fitted her body perfectly. She looked awesome in her wedding dress.
I'm surprised for all the negative comments about David his personality is perfect that's what makes this show his he owns it with his frank boldness. His comments are simply over the top to entertain you I'm quite sure he gets a kick out of it all ..you can tell he loves what he does.
I love the hosts on all The Say Yes To The Dress series They are all fun classy unique and absolutely authentic! 💞😊
This is a very old episode. And an extensive Instagram stalking shows she didn't even get married in this Dress.. 😅
What did she choose Rosalina?
Thanks for that
Sounds about right
@Rosalina Das oohhh 😉 thanks for doing the PI work for us. I guess there needs to be a neat conclusion for the show. But nobody sounded genuinely convinced, even David - so we are not surprised !!
Exactly.. That's the entire reason why I went on my detective spree anyways 😉😉
All she needed was a veil and jewellery, she was just having trouble picturing herself as a bride before she had the full picture
I liked the 4th one the most, but happy that she found one she loves.
how can she be fussy about dresses when she wore that top and hideous necklace into the appointment..
How is blue tweed quirky? Every barn wedding has grooms in tweed suits nowadays 😂 I like them a lot, but they're not quirky
How is she picky??? After trying on only 3 dresses for the first time? She can‘t even know what bridal gown fits her best when coming in to her first appointment. The stylist picked out over 10 dresses for me at my first fitting and I didn‘t find the one and it was perfectly ok.
David has the best deliveries of responses: “You certainly are, darling.”; his tone is completely neutral.
SYTTD, why are you releasing videos that have already been released under new names? I know they're free but it still makes me feel kind of ripped off. LOL
Love the first dress !!! So beautiful
Dress #4 was IT. But there is no accounting for tastes.
I feel like I'd seen her sister in another episode before where she was the bride, not sure though 😅.
My 1st thought
Me too! I remember seeing her in the thumbnail..
I have definitely seen her sister in another episode.
Yes I was sure I had seen her before! Lovely girl.
When you have such a low budget you can’t be as picky as this girl!🤷♀️
I think this picky Bride..Should be picky. She should shop till she finds the Dress she feels Awesome in!
The bride and the sister are stunning. I don't think she is picky at all. You should be picky. It is a big money and it is for your wedding day!
Wow! David really broke out into a sweat with this bride! Her dress is lovely.
For someone so fussy about clothing, you'd never know it from what she's wearing.
I love dress #4 she looks stunning in it !!!
As someone who is quite indecisive and hates everything, dress shopping sounds like a nightmare
She definately picked the perfect dress for her....she is absolutely beautiful in that dress!!
The dress the bride's sister chose towards the ending is the best fit😍
She picked the best one
Not really. I don't think so. But it's her choice. So feel happy for her.
@@ThePrInCeSs910624 lol!
They don't know what you want, because YOU don't know what you want!!!
The 4th dress was 🔥🔥🔥 so glam
This was a bride better suited to Aunty Gok's talents
Because of budget and some other circumstances I had to settle for a wedding dress I did not love. That was over 50 years ago and I still wish I hadn't settled. Brides should be picky.
"calm breath and let me do my job".... ohh yes, you just can say WOW for all dress fits not on her
The venue should be kept in mind when choosing wedding dresses.
She made it seem like she wanted all this beaded glamor when in reality all she wanted was simplicity and clean. Either way it's beautiful on her and so is she.
The first dress looked amazing!
I loved the first dress, so pretty and the sleeves were stunning.
How can anyone call her picky, she has never tried a dress on.
I really liked the sister's choice (#4) the best. I really don't like the bottom of the last dress.
Her sister is stunning! Why is she not getting married?
I need dress 1 for my wedding next year! 😍 She looks beautiful in that dress!
That bride's sister looks incredibly like Muriel Hemingway!
Im baffled that brides and consultants are expected to find the dress within 3 tries. There are so many styles and designs out there. Lets hope I dont get married because I will want to try on atleast 10.
just tried on 3 dresses and hes like "I need champane (idk how to spell it)" thats so rude thats your job bruh
David always replies with ohhh and waaaw although he knows that it’s not the right dress
Tell me you’re a bridezilla without telling me you’re a bridezilla. 😂
Iam glad she found her dress in the end
DEAR DAVID THIS WAS A JOURNEY BUT SHE FINALLY CHOS
Chose a beautiful dress 👗 worth waiting for something I would have loved
Why are these episodes appearing with an upload timeframe of hours ago when I watched this episode months ago
To be fair, I'm not a big fan of the dresses in this shop. They never wow me.
The smartest thing for someone like this is to have a dress custom made. It won't be much more expensive than buying at a boutique and you get exactly what you want.
You are becoming a little bit of a problem????? Even if that is what you think, you should never say that in a bride's face!
They actually film for 6-8 hours or more and we only see a selection (usually) of 3 dresses, so it’s possible it was actually dress 14 that he made the “you’re becoming a bit of a problem” comment after. But then again, she shot everything down at first sight so maybe it was all her 🤷♀️ I’ve seen other consultants actually get brides to try on dresses they don’t like so they can figure out exactly which bits they do like to get them all a better idea of what she’s after.
Beautiful dress, she looks stunning!
I liked the 1st one.
The brides red hair is stunning! I would put her in a hair commercial! Also, does anyone have trouble reconciling statement piece costume jewelry? I love sparkles, but I think it looks cheaper than the dress and steals focus.
Gok probably would have nailed it with the first dress pulled....
I loved the first one best, but I agree the bottom was too big. The last one was ok. 🤷♀️
That first dress was everything❤️🔥
I do see why the bride had high standards. The last dress looked BEAUTIFUL on her. The other ones were just meh. Worth the wait and worth the effort.
Also, why does he have to be so passive aggressive? She's already stressed out, don't make her more anxious with the inappropriate comments!
She may have been picky but at least she wasn’t a monster. One bride berated the consultant because she didn’t like the dresses in her budget. She changed her tune when she found out the dresses she liked were twice her budget. This girl may have been picky but she was nice about it.
Lol sad when the new video is just a repost
The sister is Georgius!!!!! They are both beautiful 😍
46 seconds in and WHYYYY does the sister look sooo familiar!?! 🤔🤔🤔
Another poster said maybe shes been in another episode as the bride?
I really think she was on the show as a bride.
David was so SNARKY in this episode.
What the…????
I like the second, but dress 4 is MaGNIFICENT
Did he not reassure her about being picky??!!!! SHE has to be happy.
No. It was the first one.
I love the bride bcz she gives some tough time to David 😂
David truly is the most patient Bridal consultant And I love him and I also love how he treats the bride and makes them feel when they finally find the right dress. He was so patient with his bride and so reassuring to him. Just a kindest man and I adore his show. I wish I could meet him face-to-face Someday♥️♥️
Glad she found a dress. Very pretty! I had to borrow a princess dress and it was beautiful. It all works out!
This episode annoyed me! Shes to grown to not know how to express what she wants. Not only that but why walk into a boutique and not have a clue what she is looking for.
