Yes, I wonder about all these woman who are so obsessed and distressed over a dress they will wear for such a short time. The prettiest bride I ever saw was wearing a remade thrift shop gown that cost $79! She glowed with happiness and her groom cried because he felt so lucky to be marrying her. A wedding should be about having the people who love you being part of your joy and commitment to each other.
I was just thinking about how pretty she was before she mentioned the eating disorder and body confidence. It just shows you how your view of yourself can differ from how others perceive you. Unfortunately, the perfectionism is linked with the body issues. Talking from experience, when you're a perfectionist, it can make you see imperfections that are not really there and this can really negatively impact your daily life. She looked beautiful in the dress she chose!
I am so happy she felt beautiful in her dress. I hope that feeling stays with her for the rest of her life and she knows just how beautiful she truly is.
It’s all about the feeling. For someone who has body dysmorphic disorder, it’s very difficult to see yourself for yourself. She’s had a difficult time picking a dress, because of the voice that tells her she’s not pretty enough or looks awful. She doesn’t see the same things others see. She’d honestly look beautiful in a burlap sack. I’m thrilled she found a dress.

I think if she chose first dress everybody would talk how stunning she was after the wedding for few years . She needs a psychologist who can boost her confidence and self-esteem . That first dress was just incredible on her. I love what she chose, as well. I'm glad she's been able to overcome her eating disorder and feel comfortable with herself again. It's very difficult. I know she still has trouble, as she said, but to come this far is alot of hard work and she's done very well. She's gorgeous in the dress, as well.
The second dress was the best because she was smiling more. Maybe the first one was even shinier and impressive but she loved the one that made her feel authentic and special! And that suits perfectly. Her mother was lovely, an amazing woman. That was inspiring to see, a great mother.
After trying on 50 dresses, and knowing how insecure she was, her entourage should have supported her 100% when she said that she felt 'sparkly' and beautiful in the dress. Instead, their comments made her doubt herself. I am glad that she finally said yes to the dress. She looked spectacular. She is a beautiful girl, hopefully, one day she will see it and believe it.

The first dress was breathtaking, truly stunning. She looked nice in the second dress too but the first dress was magnificent and she looked a million times better in the first dress than she did in the second dress.
She's a gorgeous young woman and would look fabulous in anything. I preferred the first dress ( although preferably without the green) , however, she felt beautiful in what she choose and that's what matters.

When someone is that insecure, NOTHING is going to fill the void because the void is inside, and it cannot be patched up with a dress. She needs counseling.

Beautiful bride! Stunning. More than anything I hope she realizes she was strong enough to choose a dress SHE loved. This situation showed her, hopefully, that she doesn’t need everyone’s approval all the time. You see the beauty, you choose your happiness, you get to live your life.

Yeah, for the amount of money you pay for them, 50 definately isn't that much. Different shops usually offer different styles and designers, so unless it's a huge store, you'll have to go to different ones. Maybe with the exception if you're really drawn to a certain designer and you know exactly what u want.

People don't understand what we go through and it's frustrating. I wish her well. Unfortunately she will be struggling for the rest of her life. It's be 30+ years and I still struggle. Thank goodness she followed her heart and chose the dress she loved! I didn’t like the leaves on the first dress and I don’t know what the entourage was thinking. But the mum was very loving.
It’s so hard to fathom how such an abundantly beautiful young woman (inside and outside) could struggle with self confidence and body issues. I do but have reason to and she is just breathtakingly lovely natural and unaffected by her own beauty that her vulnerability makes you want to wrap your arms around her and tell her She’s wrong. She’s the most gorgeous girl and she should be confident in that. Just goes to show confidence doesn’t necessarily go with beauty and vice versa.
