Less painful maybe, definitely not easier. You´re talking about going to the gym 4-6 hours a day? You have to be trolling. The thing is the side effects are atrocious, even worse than regular steroid use.

Yeah I was just about to write something similar. I'm Czech but I imagine most if not all slavic langauges share the thing where "hands" and "arms" are the same thing because different languages make different distinctions pretty often. For another example, there's a bunch of languages (Japanese comes to mind) where "blue" and "green" are the same word (ok, Japanese does have another word that means unambiguously green, but "aoi" can still be both). Some languages have different words for fingers and toes (such as English), some don't (like Czech and I imagine a lot of Slavic languages). There's a lot of shit like this and it can be a nightmare for inexperienced translators.

The problem is body dysmorphia is a mental health disorder, not a physical disorder. Yet people try to fix it with physical means by working out. This may help but won’t really get to the root of the problem, which is better solved by more conventional mental health treatments.

Doesn't have to be an infection, and doesn't seem to be nerve related. Synthol surgery involves removal of a lot of damaged muscle tissue. So they literally remove parts of your muscles. The muscles are already more of a scar than a functional muscle, because of constant inflammation.
Removal of (probably huge portion of) muscle mass + continuing to scar your muscles with more injections = huge loss of muscle function

Hey Charlie, russian guy here, wanna clarify that yes, he calls himself "bazooka hands" just because of language barrier, cause you know russians tend to not use specific word for hands or arms, we just generally call both parts with the word "руки" (which is pronounced the same as the word "rookie" by the way), even google translate will say that both hands and arms mean "руки" in russian if you type it there, and in reverse if you want to translate "руки", google will show you that it means "hands" in english, so I think it's pretty much Kirill's case with messed up translation. Although there is actually a word for "hands" in russian, it's called "кисти" (kisti), but we don't use that word too much in regular speech, it's more of a formal or medical term. So that's why russians often use word "hands" when they actually mean arms, shoulders or biceps, "рука" is an umbrella term in russian for any part of an arm basically.

Last week we‘ve performed a lung-transplant for a person who has smoked for decades but managed to quit for an entire YEAR before the op, the operation itself was a success. I talked to him/her afterwards and told him that he‘ll survive etc. and asked whether he‘d learned his lesson, ofcourse he/she did.. a week later he was allowed to go home, took two steps out of the hospital, pulls out a cigarette and almost made me jump out of the fucking window.
Man/Woman got his new lungs and said let‘s ruin it all again. You can‘t imagine how immensely disappointed I was. Yes we get payed but still, there‘s so much effort, time and care put into it, I for once was actually speechless. Sorry about any misspellings I‘m german, just wanted to let this out and hopefully get my mind of it, have a good day.

@@салемс true, but to be honest we use the word "ладонь" extremely rarely and almost never the word "кисть". It didn't even cross my mind when I thought of Russian for "hand". Just "кисть" almost feels like an archaism at this point, kinda like "длань". Now, "кисть руки" on the other hand sounds like something I could hear in a conversation. Хотя, сейчас чекнул Мультитран, и "кисть руки" он относит к медицинской лексике, а единственный нейтральный перевод "hand" в значении части тела - "рука". Вот и вернулись к тому, с чего начинали.

As a native Russian, “ruká” or plural “rúki” translates as arms, however it can also pertain to any part on the arm, such as: forearm, wrist, and palm. Even though each individual section of an arm has a designation in Russian, when we say “washing hands” it literally translates to “washing arms”

Yes, in Russian you have a word to describe part of your body from wrist to a tip of a finger-”Kist'” (Кисть) but it translates into English also as “Hand”.

Because I am Russian my self and when ever I hear the word "hands" I keep thinking it means arms, and I am sure I am not the only one
even if you translate "hands" to russiam it will give you "руки" but if you translate that to English you will get "arms"

Also "bazooka hands" and not arms is because he doesn't know english and there is no distinction between hands and arms in Russian language. So he used google ttanslate or something.
The term used to refer to "hands" in Rusdian is actually a combination of two words that basically translates to "arm brushes". There are distinct words for fists, palms and fingers, but not for hands.
