I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported this series in any way.
It's been really good fun taking part in this championship. Also a huge shoutout of course to Quadrant for backing me to race this year. Legends!
U put 2022 in ur thing
ya the tumbnail says 2022
Where did you finish in the championship?
I see a future at Sky Sports for you.
How much experience would you need to compete in UKC? I've never raced but theres a track not too far from me that i'd like to start racing at.
This man is so fast that he’s already racing in the future 😂
Bruh he changed it
I dont get these comments fr
Didn’t know you’d time travelled to next year
The future of cart racing….TODAY!
The time in the shadow realm is different
88 mph baby!
He gotta wear the future team's branding you know
The more you know
Tidge with the WOW sign, absolute legend 😄
And of course he plebbed it up by holding it the wrong way around 🤣
I love how Steve looks like an npc when he finishes a session and gets out of the kart. just stands there
He probably just t-poses when the cam is not on him.
@@fyck66 His default unrendered texture is Qadrant highlighter yellow
Well played Steve, love this content. Was good fun to come watch, I'll be back, maybe a bigger sign ;)!
Just remember to hold it the right way round next time ;)
@@jamiehenderson1622 Hahahahaha, ruined xD! Living upto my name xD
Thank you again for having me and Tidgney come to the race, was an absolute blast!
Steve time travelled to 2022 just to give us awesome content.
Got me thinking what year we’re actually in
“Oh… someone’s already binned it” made me spit my drink 1:27
Steve in 2022 before the rest of the world.

Finally, the weather RNG gave some realistic weather.
Let us appreciate Steve being a time traveler
I, too, have occasionally had a few too many .
Congrats on a solid season, Steve!
That weather radar made me spit my drink out. I've never seen a better depiction of day to day life in the UK. like those old comics of a tiny cloud following some poor bloke around
I'm so proud of you man! Been awesome to watch the struggles and successes of a real driver. So cool to be apart of it with you, great video btw! Excited for future contend
Watching the likes of yourself and Mr Broadbent actually racing, is really great to see, it adds a whole other dimension to the channel. Its also cool to see traits translate from the Sim Rig and the track, knowing now that you have done hella Karting, it makes absolute sense and tracks with the style you drive with on your GT vids.
I find driving styles quite interesting and watching others like Kie, Jimmy, FailRace Ollie etc, you get a good feel for someones driving style over time, and you have that aggressive Kart style purist racing driving style when you are on GT, more so than many of the guys on other channels, someone like Jimmer is more cautious. So a Karting background fits that. Its really cool to see you on real tracks putting real moves down in real races. Keep it up
24:01 lawnmover steve, great to see old bud back!
Damn, 2022's over before it even started!
A good job Steve, this year was always going to be a learning year for you. I raced last weekend, 25mm of rain on Saturday in an Enduro kart race, 28 karts made for challenging vision indeed. Then Sunday's Enduro was dry. Great work mate. Bring on 2022.
So sad to see the season end.
I‘m really looking forward to the next year and see you in the kart again.
Great improvement over the year and a big thank you for the really really nice and enjoyable content!
keep it up mate🔥
really proud of you! I loved the videos! thank you for making them!
Only two miles from my house this track! Well done this season Steve, a man well and truly living the dream
This is my local track glad to see it on the racing season, enjoy the weather mate 😂
One of the best things to come out of 2021 is this six part series for me it was great.
I really hope for more next year even got me un wrapping my kart although it still sits for now.
Have a great xmas Steve come back stronger next year.
Cant wait
Warden laws is my home track great to see you enjoyed it
Great season for you mate, well done and congratulations on your rookie season in owner karting for a while, and great to see you did the last club 100 round, GGS mate
What an incredible season you have had. Congratulations on all your achievements this year, its been incredible to watch all you videos. Thank you so much for inspiring me and many other people to start karting. I can't wait to see you back next year 🥳
Hey Super GT, just wanted to say well done and thank you for helping me somewhat kick start my Karting career. I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while now and I’m happy to say that I just finished my first full year in junior rotax with its highs and very lows, and now I’m doing my first ever year in cars which should hopefully be fun.
But I can’t thank you enough for inspiring me to join the karting scene, and well done at the UKC and hopefully you have even better luck if you do it next year :)
Congrats man, good luck and have fun :D
Awesome video mate! Would be great to see behind the scenes. Preparing for races. Foods/drink you need to have to maintain focus for your long races. All the best and much love from NZ!
That 23:30 punt felt like a Forza Horizon lobby when I try to pass anyone next to a checkpoint or upcoming wall.
hahaha the williams shirt, steve has really embraced his inner and outer albon
That thick middle black line is an indication that whomever surfaced the track are not very good at their jobs.
The line between lanes (Individual strands of tarmac) should be a max of 5mm wide as there is absolutely no grip on it.
I do that for a living. Have resurfaced Knockhill (Scotland) parts of Snetterton.
So much fun watching the content from the US. Can’t wait for the GT7 content but more so whatever you produce. Keep up the awesome work Steve and remember to take a “brake” when you need it lol.
Easily my favourite Motorsport series on RUclips this year, can't wait to see you race it all again next year!
Good on you Steve, well done. Great overall improvement from the start of the season. Looking forward to next season.
All the best from Down Under.
23:21 steve visiting his best friend Barry R
Hey Steve, loved watching your journey throughout this entire series. Was super fun to watch, and honestly made me rethink how I should prepare my mental before I do something competitive. Your improvement throughout was astounding, and I can only aspire to become like that someday.
Also, I was thinking because of your camera getting so wet and foggy, do you use or played around with ay hydrophobic products that can prevent fogging or water buildup or even mud buildup? It could potentially help with the clarity in rainy races, as I do think those tend to be your strong suit.
Anyways, thank you for documenting your journey Steve, it was a wonderful ride. Looking forward to next year.
Cheers.
Whatever you do, there is a community for that thing
The footage of that crash at the end was amazing LOL almost spat out my coffee
These videos are awesome, I’d never been karting until 2 weeks ago and now I’m hooked. Your videos are great entertainment while I wait to go karting again.
Great job all year with the videos, but also the improvement on track, it has been awesome to see! Cant wait for 2022 :)
You inspired me to get back into karting again and warden law is one of the first tracks I tried out - a friend and I went the Thursday before the UKC started and then watched you at the UKC the rest of the weekend. I hope you liked the shirt and the key rings for the quadrant gang too. Look forward to next year! All the best!
My local track warden law and its very challenging in the wet, pleased you enjoyed it great work 💪
Well done steve. Always wanted to see race in the competitive scene and you have done so well. Push harder for next year💪💪
Love the vids. Would love if you would show us more of the lap times, to gauge things better.
This is only the start, can't wait to see where you end up.
Loved being along for the ride.
Here's to your next venture 🍻
The boys and I talk about your videos on the pre grid before our kart races 👌🏽 my first year and it's been so good
Tip for driving in the wet which helped me a lot is that you should always lean toward the outer side in corners adding pressure to those tires. Use your length and weight in your favour!
Really enjoyed watching your story/progression through the season Steve. Cheers mate.
11:30 Alex Albon sneaks that Williams shirt in for next year lol
Can't wait for the next season mate! These karting vids are so good and fun. Massive props to you mate.
Oh, how much I love the english weather!!! Thanks for the thrilling content, Steve! Keep up the great work and I'm already looking forward to next year's season!
Love this track i raced here years ago and it was my fave track - especially as it was a dry day too.
Great content thanks - especially the 3-lap warmup on the Sunday morning. You should send that to "Just Devon" for him to add as a GT bonus clip - I'd love to hear his commentating your misfortune.
Glad you got a 6th dude!, And had fun, luckily going out for a few beers on saturday night didnt effect practice 3!!
Rain-X on your lens will help out to salvage footage on wet days like these!
Was doing that on the Sunday and it didn't work against the mud.
"I mean it had to happen, didn't it?", lol exactly what I was thinking
I was down at Lydd the same weekend for the club 100. The conditions were awful. It was good to see you race at the weekend just gone at Bayford!
Well done mate. Can only get better from here. Impressive improvement 👏
I have to say, you have given it the full beans during this season. Dropping loads of weight and I imagine a few sessions in the gym. On top of that holding your hand up and asking for help to get better at racing. For me, (and I know I slabbered a bit during the season) at some point the real Racer will emerge. I think you've proved you are an IRL racer. I really hope what you have coming up in 2022 involves a progression from Karts (Ginettas maybe!) Same as Jimmer. Imagine the two of yous fighting for the same corner!!!
that wouldn't be progress. The competition in karts is far higher across the board in the UK. KZ would be a good option, but the MSA don't allow onboard cameras.
@@AlanDoveKarting But it is a different type of racing. Karting is seriously skilful and brilliant to watch (but not widely broadcast) Jimmy Broadbent had very little experience of irl racing but handled a season in Britcar. I think Super GT could do the same.
@@chuckwagon7354 My point is it isn't a 'progression'. Jack Doohan didn't top 10 my local KZ club race last weekend. The level of drivers in UK karting national absolutely smashes anything else pound for pound.
Cars are progression in expenditure, but not much else.
@@AlanDoveKarting I'm not meaning to denigrate Karting but it is not ideal for everyone.
@@chuckwagon7354 I know, not everyone can deal with he level of competition :) Massive props to Super GT for actually getting out there and doing it.
Steve finishing on P6 on heat 1 is like cherry on top
27:51 looks like a man doing Race Kart Rodeo on a pretty wild one...
Hey Steve, if you weren't aware you can get hydrophobic lens covers or liquids to put on the GoPro lens that should keep it nice and clear during the wet conditions :)
One thing I got in the habit of doing when competing on a new track was talking to the locals. Sometimes even before the first practice. Most of it you pick up really fast from past experiences of similar corners on other tracks, but sometimes the locals can point out situations that let you set up overtakes or defend better or avoid a certain line in the wet or so on.
Your karting videos are always something I greatly look forward to watching
UPD: now waiting for 2022
Those black lines in the tarmac are lethal, I nearly binned my motorbike recently on one
28:12 this serious when you become trash shot for the rest of the lobby
Imagine having the power to travel through time and choosing to visit Sunderland
Oh & *SHOUT OUT* to the camera guy for that over the shoulder shot !!! One of *THE BEST* shots of the year !!!
Cheers!
Have to say, you really got me there... Had to check the year to know if I was in hibernation this last year
Been great following the season, looking forward to 2022.
Nice job Steve!
Can’t wait to see what’s planned for next year 👏🏻
It’s so strange to see your local track from a different perspective. Great vid 👍
I wouldn't say long, sweeping, fast corners are you problem, more like a superhuman attraction to 6th!
We had our first rain in the F400 endurance recently... No rain tires allowed... Did ~ 2 laps in the wet (with a dry setup), that was an interesting experience. Was completely unprepared for it, but I can see how you can make massive gains in such conditions.
Thankfully no more rag doll crashes! 😂 Congrats to a good season and looking forward to '22! 😃🏁
Great work by you Steve, it has been a journey, lovely journey to follow
Last race of 2022? :D
You got to be happy whenever he posts irl racing.
Very nice job, Steve.
I really hope next season will be better (that is if you participate in UKC. I'll be rooting for you anywhere you race). :)
I've noticed that you use something like an Alonso approach to tighter corners, with a hard early turn-in, then backing off. I don't know if you do this for front-tire heat, front-end braking, or (like Alonso) for the understeer, but it clearly won't work on fast sweeping corners. Maybe that's why you prefer tighter tracks ... because you like (too much?) a hard early turn-in. Sort of like a rally driver who flicks every corner, even if it isn't needed.
I think the small adjustments unsettle the kart as well. Constantly readjusting your line through long corners doesn't help. I think Steve has just got to turn off the concerned/safety part of his brain and just commit. Probably easier said than done but all of the other top drivers just go for it but again that is through a lot seat time.
@@meesterbingbong5641 While I agree with you, in general, that any steering input has the tendency to unsettle the vehicle and cost you grip, karts are a bit different, because they have no suspension.
This raises the following issue: driving games with a lousy physics model can cause grief for actual driving because of this sort of effect. (The game will let you do things that don't work in real life.) If you've been around for a while, you might have a fondness for Live for Speed (not Need for Speed), as it was one of the first games with good physics (and it was free!).
so you might wanna try baclavas, much more comfy in the wet. espeically when you have more then one so you can change them. worst feeling imo when having to put on the wet helkmet and the suit is wet in the neck area aswell.
Dude you did improve through the season, congrats.
Great job! Really hope you get this chance many more times
Loved watching you go from club100 to this, Fantastic 💙
Congratulations on a great season Steve! 👏👏👏 Can't wait for 2022! Your the man! P.S. P6 is for the GOATS only 😂
Massive thanks to YOU for all the great content mate.
Brilliant race weekend
Awesome job Steve throughout the year, congrats! Can I ask you what’s your favorite kart sim out there? Thanks
15:21 these shots show how big the track is
Enjoyed the video as always man!
Race me!!? Let me know when you're down southwest ways. And we're get it sorted.
Thx for these videos man! I love em
7:46 I pick the number 0. >:^)
SuperGT: "You weren't supposed to do that"
Brilliant year Super GT. I’m expecting to see a P6 (hopefully better) in 2022.
Watched all the videos mate. Great entertainment. Lovely work
First guy was a shadow realm entry
Steve’s a time traveler
I hope you race again next year, love watching these videos
Seasons biggest improvement must have been the GoPro mounting
Can’t wait for next season! Great job steve!
