If it was my wife and I doing this together, one of us would end up buried in the middle of the woods half way in the middle of the project. Great team work and my hats off to you on your level of tolerating each other! 🤪
You two are so stinkin' cute, the way you work so well together, touch food (toasting one another) before you eat, etc. Love the content and so appreciate your work ethics.
I can really see how a clean, dry, lighted and heated workshop will make a huge difference on all of your projects, especially during the long winter. Good job!
I’m so thankful that you two keep it so real with how taxing this kind of work is! Emotionally physically and mentally. Its easy to watch a video like this and only see the good parts, not realizing all the tough parts, the arguments, the silences are edited out. I’m glad you share what the experience was really like!
Facts. It amazes me that people believe they do all this work together DAILY and they agree on everything with no disagreements. 😂 Sadly people with that kind of mindset chase a relationship like they “see on social media” only to never find it! It’s amazing the way adults can believe everything they see on a video without realizing it’s been edited to enjoy nothing more. No relationship is without fault. They are working hard to build a great homestead though…. Both seem like great people! I’ve never been to AK but I’m so fascinated with the idea of watching people build their dreams there….
I love that Ariel admitted that the two of them aren't always on the same page, and struggle at times working together. (tightening the bolts) It makes me admire you even more, because despite your differences, you forge ahead and get things done, together. You two are blessed to have each other. I want to thank you for sharing a life well done. In a world divided, you prove that working together, is the best option for all. Congratulations for accomplishing yet another monumental goal! Greetings from Michigan!
We’re not just following along, but cheering you on!! Absolutely amazing work!! You deserved way more than a sandwich to celebrate! Pop the bubbly! 🎉🎉🥂🥂🍾
You both deserve every little bit of happiness, you both have created for you both & your pets. The reason i gave up TV,is because of i never got to see, people like you both, create a lovely true story for your selves. TV is false,i do not do it @ all. Have a nice life, you both!
I have to say. You two are rockstars. You are tackling projects that you have never done. I’m simply blown away by your determination and teamwork! You both should be so proud of yourselves. You both are inspirational to so many people. Well done!💕💕💕💕
It is soooo AWESOME‼️ you 2 are incredible‼️‼️‼️7,000 bolts and all those panels‼️It is soooo huge😊‼️ 7 days of constant work- WOW‼️I hope you will both REST before you start any other projects‼️‼️‼️
I wish I was eating at your house tonight. Everything you make looks incredibly delicious. 7000 bolts will test a marriage. You two passed with flying colors. Great job! Bon appetit!
You guys are an inspiration to many! You guys are a great example of what the USA was founded on! Hard work, persistence, grit, and teamwork! You all make it look so easy, which I know it is not! So proud of what you guys are doing! Anything is possible! Sweat Equity, and so rewarding once the final projects are completed! Makes those peaks and valleys so worth it. Absolutely love your channel!
The spray foam will also help with the structure because it will 'glue' all of the pieces together. You might also consider building out some smaller rooms in the hut that include ceilings and set that space aside for the stuff that really needs to avoid freezing because if you put some fiberglass insulation in those partition walls and ceiling you'd really improve the heat retention in that space. You might also want to seriously check out grounding requirements if you haven't yet. That hut is tall and metal, and lightning... Well, just make sure you take that into account and consider a properly functioning lightning rod.
Long before the end of this video, I have to say that your determination, grit, and Human Spirit are a credit to anyone that has a challenge ahead of them...!!!!!!!!
Amazing! The fact that you two decided you were going to tackle this project on your own and have now seen it through to this point speaks volumes about your collective will and determination. Kudos for a job well done!
You two are without a doubt the most self sufficient people I’ve ever seen…a true example of WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY! Congrats on your new addition …incredibly hard work ..just listening to you talk about the building of this is exhausting and I simply can’t imagine! What a well oiled machine the two of you make… such a compliment to one another…stay blessed❤️
You two blow my mind! I don't think I have ever seen two young people work together and accomplish all that you have. You are so determined to accomplish whatever you set your minds to. I think once rested up a little from assembling the Qhut, you will look at it and say oh yah we can get them ends done too! Arial, I see a massive storage room for all your canning, a cool area for fresh veggies like cabbage, potatoes, carrots, etc. You will have a great space and setup for all your canning, with all your processing needs right at your fingertips. No more carring stuff across the snow and putting in a cones or freezer, it will be under one roof in one area! You both should be soooo proud at what you have done.
It’s generous of you to share your lives as you do. You highlight both your joy and challenges and this balance and emotional honesty shine, thank you.
it looks great!! BUT truthfully the real work starts now, the lights, the insulation the heat the end walls!! you 2 will get it done & it will be awesome... it just takes time & money!! thanks for sharing & be safe out there!!!
I’ve never looked forward to ANY tv show or movie in my 46yrs as much as I do Simple Living Alaska! Seems like just yesterday you guys were doing chicken videos and how to make “Garden Tea” before you moved up. Amazing job on everything and as always thanks so much for the time you spend making these videos! ❤
Congratulations on such a huge project. That's what makes you among my favorites to watch. Smart, hard working, indominable spirits, capable of so much by working together...and it shows. Nice job Eric and Arielle. 35 years from now you'll appreciate everyday that you built it. Be care and safe.
That was a crazy amount of work that you both did with all the challenges you had to deal with. You both must have been thoroughly exhausted every day. You have said all the projects to come and i will be looking forward to them. You really work so well together. Until your next video, take care and be safe.(Judy NB)🌲🇨🇦
One of my favorite parts of watching your videos is the amazing team work you two demonstrate, working together, supporting each other, and accomplishing the hard together. I am fully aware, it's not always roses and beautiful, however with the teamwork you are able to overcome the challenges a build a beautiful life together.
Congrats on another mammoth task completed by yourselves. That hut is going to be a major asset and working/storage space for you in the harsh winter. Well done young people.
I cannot believe you both did it. You are an amazing couple and totally in sync. You are incredible to watch and how you work things out. I have watched 5 man trying to put one of these together and they had some job and a lot of stress. So once again we’ll done on such an amazing achievement. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm impressed that despite your lack of experience you forge ahead and work together to get things done. . That's not easily done. Congratulations in a job well done.
Watching you drive the scissor lift onto the trailer, I knew those 2x6's were going snap..... because I have done things similar to it - recently. I was loading a "loaded" tractor tire into my vehicle. That is what I like about this channel. It is real. Stuff happens it is part of the story. I am glad you keep it all in.
Yeah, I’m happy for you two. The way you both work so hard together and prove that you end up with great results. You two are both awesome role models. ❤❤❤❤❤
ONE of your most endearing qualities, that I love so much, is your ability to creatively design & create a solution to overcome ANY obstacle that you encounter !!!!!! BRAVO Eric & Arielle 👏👏👏👏

SO proud of you two! My husband says I’m obsessed with “the kids in Alaska.” Well, yes I am. 🥰You are amazing! Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us.

I’ve said it before, and everyone else says the same thing and probably better - You. Are. Incredible. Herculean effort, someone said - Yes! You work your socks off. Brave too. I know Airielle doesn’t like heights and there she is, gamely climbing to the top. Eric just figures it out, works around whatever the problems you meet, refusing to give in. And I just watched him run across the top! Aaaargh! I have so much admiration for you both.
Wow, this was a tremendous undertaking, and you did it. The workshop is enormous.I can see you doing so much in there. The celebratory dinner looks delicious!! Great work!!
The workshop is looking really great and you both have done a magnificent job building it,Thanks for showing it being built here and Thank You for your videos Take Care.🌞👍
WOW!!! This couple AMAZES !!! THIS IS A HUGE FEAT & ACCOMPLISHMENT!! THEIR ‘TEAM- WORK’ IS A GREAT EXAMPLE FOR ALL!!! CONGRATS!!!! THIS IS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL STRUCTURE !!!! ❤❤❤😊👍💪🙏❤ HOPE THEIR HAPPY & PROUD OF THEMSELVES, THEY DESERVE TO BE!!❤🥰🥰❤️☝️🕊🇺🇸☀️💪🌟❤️🙏🙏
I am SO impressed. That hut is huge…I can just imagine you out there doing projects all winter long. I was wondering how you were going to close the ends off so I’m glad you shared that. To be honest, I was worried at the first that you two would not be able to finish it without help…how proud your loyal followers are on what you have accomplished. Hugs to the furry kiddos and you two also. ❤️👍👍
I like what it looks like, but I wouldn't want to put one together myself. I always enjoy you two working together. Take care and be safe Please. Thank You for sharing the Chickens with me, I love Chickens. 🙏🕊️🌻🌼🌹☕❤️💜👍
Commercial construction professional for 45 years, you remind me of the teamwork between my wife and I as we have developed our property in West Central Texas. So proud of you, great job!!
Hell of a job you two did, glad you got done. Been on a lot of construction site working and this project was hard compared to the thing I worked on. And just the two of you. That sure is some really good teamwork. You will sleep well for the next few days.
Way to get this done! You know if this homestead doesn't work out for you guys you can open a restaurant, right? Good job, and thank God nobody got hurt!!
Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment. It is so much bigger than I thought it was going to be, and the fact that you had no help is a testimony to how strong your relationship is! I look forward to watching future content from within those walls.
The hut is absolutely beautiful!! What a mammoth project! You guys must've had some sore muscles. It will be so nice to have a heated building, as you described. Those salmon sandwiches looked delicious, and on homemade toasted buns. It doesn't get any better than that. You two never cease to amaze, with all that you do, from A to Z. The homestead is shaping up!
Congrats Eric and Arielle. What an accomplishment. You guys are such hard workers with a no quit until done attitude. Eric you are so are so inventive. Love your home made tool. Glad you guys finished up with an awesome fish sandwich. You deserve it! Thanks for sharing your life journey with your RUclips family.
About your comments that you two struggle with teamwork sometimes -- and I say this knowing that we see an edited video and you live the uncut version -- all the ginormous projects that y'all have accomplished are evidence that you two KILL IT in the teamwork department. Everyone's human, but you figure it out and truly move mountains together. You should be so flipping proud of yourselves!
It's looks very delicious love the meals that she prepares for her husband you are so fortunate to have a wife like you have right now if she used to you too and she is so fortunate to have you too you make such a lovely couple praise Jesus that you had found one another
I'm blown away by how hard you two work and you work so well together. 2 thumbs up guys. so impressed
My thoughts exactly

probably lots of editing LOL
A classic case of "we had it all figured out by the time we were done".
Great job!
I can really see how a clean, dry, lighted and heated workshop will make a huge difference on all of your projects, especially during the long winter. Good job!
You guys have single handedly built an airplane hangar!!! I can't believe you did it and I felt exhausted just watching you! Kudos to you both 🎉

Your comment deserves more likes. This is exactly how I feel. What a gift.
Beautifully put!
Eric, your skills are literally through the roof. It's mind blowing that two people built this.
He gets dangerously creative with their equipment. Been watching since they 1st moved to Alaska. No major injuries.
it looks great!! BUT truthfully the real work starts now, the lights, the insulation the heat the end walls!! you 2 will get it done & it will be awesome... it just takes time & money!! thanks for sharing & be safe out there!!!
It's so big. You can hide a B-1 bomber in there. Looking forward to the next episode.
What? A new video on Tuesday? Thank you!
What a team you are! The hut is going to be life altering. You will be able to do so much in that space.
That metal building is hard enough for a crew of 4. Incredible that the 2 of you were able to get it done.
WOW! You guys did awesome! The shop is a massive monster!!! Great job!
Your music has improved substantially over the years. Awesome!!!
Congratulations on such a huge project. That's what makes you among my favorites to watch. Smart, hard working, indominable spirits, capable of so much by working together...and it shows. Nice job Eric and Arielle. 35 years from now you'll appreciate everyday that you built it. Be care and safe.
What a monumental task! Good job on the build 💪👍
I love how exciting Eric is tasting the food they make he makes it so appetizing 😆
That was a crazy amount of work that you both did with all the challenges you had to deal with. You both must have been thoroughly exhausted every day. Excellent job Guys, when you get to use the heated quintet hut you'll look back and smile. The day "That was worth it!!"
Who else loves to watch Eric's reaction when he tries food 😅
Literally waiting for him to say it was "the best ever" 😂
Oh my gosh 🤣😂
Oh my gosh! 😂
If they ever sell merch then one of their shirt slogans should definitely be "oh my gosh"
Wait for Eric to say he loves the food so much, then scroll the comments to make sure someone started a thread. 🤌
You folks have accomplished a ton!!!!! Thanks for taking us all along!!!!!
One of my favorite parts of watching your videos is the amazing team work you two demonstrate, working together, supporting each other, and accomplishing the hard together. I am fully aware, it's not always roses and beautiful, however with the teamwork you are able to overcome the challenges a build a beautiful life together.

A massive task for a team of workers, done by two!! WOW!!!!! welldone

The building seems very solid. The amount of work that you guys do is phenomenal.Congratulations on a Herculean effort.
Well Said!
ONE of your most endearing qualities, that I love so much, is your ability to creatively design & create a solution to overcome ANY obstacle that you encounter !!!!!!
BRAVO Eric & Arielle 👏👏👏👏
Independently inventing the spud wrench is pretty awesome. Excellent work!
Y'all did a fantastic job. This old man is green with envy.
A couple of tips for you. If you didn't realize when you rent equipment a 4 day rent equals a week. A 3 week rental equals a month. Longer than that most rental places will deal.
On your floor the radiant heat will not be enough to heat that building when it gets really cold. At Delta Industrial we had in floor heat in our warehousees and had to add a couple of hanging unit heaters or run frost fighters. Though out warehouse was a bit bigger. Next time you are in Delta stop at DPW and just drive around and you can see the warehouses I am talking about.
I think y'all learned a ton on this build. CONGRATULATIONS!!¡😊😊😊😊😊
Very impressive! Man your woman is a keeper. I know it can't be as easy working together as it seems to be watching this, from my experience working with my wife. You two are a force to be reconned with. Again am totally impressed!!!
That’s dedication!! And a value upgrade to the property!! Way to hang in there guys!!👍😜
SO proud of you two! My husband says I’m obsessed with “the kids in Alaska.” Well, yes I am. 🥰You are amazing! Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us.

Well well well look at Mr Websters Dictionary
Necessity is the mother of invention. You have worked out how to do it and make the changes with what you have that get it done. Ariel you sound exhausted towards the end of that last day. 7000 bolts, hope they gave you plenty of extras as I’m sure a few were dropped. In a few weeks you’ll look at this huge project with pride and wonder at your abilities and stamina. A big Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Eric and Arielle you two are the most hardworking couple on YT, or at least top 5. I hope everything goes well for you before winter sett in so you guys survive the winter in the new place? Give the four legged animal a hug and a kiss from Norway. you are the best and keep those vids coming please.

Hell of a job you two did, glad you got done. Been on a lot of construction site working and this project was hard compared to the thing I worked on. And just the two of you. That sure is some really good teamwork. You will sleep well for the next few days.
Wow, well done. Both of you deserve a massive pat on the back. Those buns looked amazing.
I was exhausted just watching......i didn't skip a bit. Champion!
Way to get this done! You know if this homestead doesn't work out for you guys you can open a restaurant, right? Good job, and thank God nobody got hurt!!
Fantastic job! One of the best I seen on You Tube. You two should be very proud of your work.👍
You guys always overcome and your attitudes are awesome. Great job !!
Wow…you could park a plane in there! Your hut is huge! All that hard work has paid off. 👍
Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment. It is so much bigger than I thought it was going to be, and the fact that you had no help is a testimony to how strong your relationship is! I look forward to watching future content from within those walls.
You two are simply an amazing team. The Hut is a great name.😊🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊😊👏👍
One of my favorite teams at it again!! Nicely done guys!!😊
Thanks for sharing your life with us!! Love the channel!❤
A lesson in how to make the tightening of 7000 bolts interesting. Just wow! You deserved those salmon melts.
I love when you two do these big projects. I came for the scenery and stayed to hear your story
The Hut is done! 🎉 Seriously, nice work! 👍
You two - there are no adjectives to describe you guys, just awesome and intelligent, always look forward to your videos ❤
