Jake Browning played really well tonight taking what the Jacksonville Defense was giving him. It’s tough to let a backup quarterback loose in a game that important, but credit Zac Taylor for letting him go out there and play more freely
Yeah Browning played awesome tonight! So he had just 1 TD but still he played on a Very Dominant level for sure! Can't wait to see whats in store for him and the Bengals going forward!

Browning is a great eexample of never giving up. He's been a consistent practice squad quarterback for Minnesota and then Cincinnati. He won the backup spot this year. I hope he does well .
If he really is this good and plays like it the rest of the season then he should have the back up QB spot locked up. Hell if he’s really that good he could be a spot starter if need be.

Jamar Chase isnt someone you can just lock down. They played well but I do agree defense could have been tighter. Josh Allen had a good game though, only one on defense

The nfl injuries have been absolutely brutal this yr, I hope Trevor Lawrence is okay and injury isn’t too serious. He’s the heart and soul of this team
Injuries have been crazy this season with QBs dropping like flies. Rodgers, Cousins, Jones, Richardson, Watson, Burrow, Pickett, and now Lawrence.
Add that with teams rotating QBs due to offensive struggles and I have to wonder what the single season record is for most qbs with a start in a season. We have to be getting close

This Folsom CA resident is so happy that Jake is finally getting a chance to show the world what he can do. Tonight he looked just like he did when setting national high school records in my home town. It's been a long time coming, but tonight he has been accepted into the NFL, come what may.
Played 2nd round playoffs against them lost like 70-14 sumthn lmao cheers to him shoutout the valley 209 Stockton delta kings but respect for the blue turf bulldogs
Every week press Taylor leaves at least 10 points out there with awful play calling especially the
same runs into stacked boxes that go nowhere. The colts with a backup and no weapons are averaging more points per game than press Taylor

Wow! 91 td is unfathomable to me. I didn't even know that before hearing about it during the game, but I've been telling other bengals fans that Jake isn't a scrub. I didn't expect a potw performance! The Folsom, CA legend represented tonight!

@fizzyfuzz5878 Great comment! With Christian and Samuel, the 49ers may be the only NFL team with TWO offensive studs that are dangerous both rushing and receiving. And they seem like one of the only teams where a Superstar QB like Mahomes or Allen or Hurts isn't so important - though Purdy reminds me of a young Montana sometimes. S.F. consistently out-physicals their opponent, and always seems to find stud linebackers. Kittle is as good as Kelce. The list goes on. If healthy, this is S.F.'s best chance to win it all since the Kappernick year, when they were (at least, to me) clearly better than the Ravens. I just gotta think that of all the primary contenders, including Philly, K.C., Miami, Buffalo, that this S.F. program the last few seasons is the best.
@zzzxxzzz3248 Ya, don't discount Cincy. Everybody seems too. A flat out great offense with Joe healthy and Chase. I think I'd pick a healthy Cincy team over the Ravens; and they want revenge. Still, that was the 49ers stinker against The Bengals. I don't see that happening in the playoffs. Question? Didn't Cincy once face S.F. in a Super Bowl? I kinda remember. It was a close game, and maybe the quarterbacks were Joe Montana and Boomer. My "dementia" is kicking in, so I'll look it up. 80's or 90's?

As a Bengals fan, Jake Browning really impressed me….seems like he’s a quick learner because his first start compared too his second was night and day! Keep it up!
Great poise out of Browning. He came in and played a really clean game. I like that he wasn’t afraid to throw deep and step up in the pocket, as well as tuck it and run when he had a lane. Great game Bengals
He had a poise and confidence that not many QBs have in their second start. Some never get really get it.

Jags fan here; I was there last night, it was rough watching him slam his helmet into the ground knowing his injury wasn’t something he’d be coming back from in a few plays. He couldn’t even stand up on his own and as everyone watched it happen it was the same reaction as this over and over again. There was even a huge fight a couple rows behind me that broke out amongst only Jags fans over the injury, I think I watched like 7 or 8 people get escorted out of the stadium by security.

Loved watching Jake Browning ball out at UW for four years as a starter, setting school records. Reminds me of a young quarterback you might know named Brock Purdy. Loads of experience in college, overlooked in the draft. Smaller in stature, not a big arm, not the best athlete, but was very efficient and knows how to win games.
We'll be lumping him in the same conversation with Purdy very soon, I hope.

His career at UW was stunted in his last two years because Washington decided to be a running team more than a passing team. Don't know why. They would run on first and second down, and then Browning would have to pass on third down when the defense knew it was coming.

This was a difficult loss for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are gonna lose Trevor Lawrence hopefully for a short amount of time, but their defense just got pounded on by a backup quarterback in Browning. No excuse for this effort on that side of the ball
Not the whole defense, our front 4 was great and half the secondary was rly good but tyson Campbell just came back and he played like he missed the time he did, he got straight cooked all game
They lost a couple guys early and on. Then the Bengals were just playing extra protection after the half.
I have a valid 'excuse'. They played an offense that's been to the super bowl and conference championship in consecutive years. The Bengals O is loaded, even sans Burrow. As good personnel wise as San Fran. Plus, the D still gave the offense 7 points...

The Bengals are simply a well coached team. They established the run, something my Browns never bother to do. And then got a great job out of Browning. The most important part is they didn't expect him to play like Joe Burrow. They drew up a plan that worked for him.
Actually most Bengal fans will swear that their coaches are what's holding them back. It's par for the course, 80% of every team's fans complain about their coaches.
Lawrence has an ankle sprain! He's obviously gonna be out for a while!
Doesn't really matter. Defense is strong enough to hold it together and get the needed stops. They just played like a*s in this game. That's all. Every NFL team has a backup who won that spot for a reason. Some are definitely better than others as seen here, but I think with a week of prep, the backup will be better.
TL just needs to honestly get out of Jacksonville as soon as he can and go somewhere else like either New Orleans or Tampa bay or Atlanta OR just a team with a decent offensive line.

Both my favorite teams played well! I'm so happy both for Browning and for Parker Washington, getting a touchdown as a rookie with no previous catches.
Both backup QBs took stage and didn't disappoint, it's too bad someone had to lose.
