This was rlly a game of inches, Amandola was so close to making that 58-yarder. I hope to watch many more matchups between these two teams and QBs!
Is Ammendola now 0 for 5 in attempts of 50yds or more? The offense just has to get 10yds closer for him to win games for them.

Man, I was hoping I was wrong that the injury to Kai'mi, who is one of the best kicker in the game, would not affect the Texans but I feel like he could have made those 2 50+ fg, especially the one before half-time.
The Jaguars and Texans will one day have a strong rivalry for the future to come. Great game by Trevor Lawrence and CJ Stroud, there's gonna be alot of heart racing shootouts between the two in the future, I hope to see it!

The Texans and Jaguars have always been equally matched. Especially in the first 10 or 11 years of the Texans existence. Only thing was both teams were at the bottom of the division. I remember seeing stats from around 2012 where we were both 11-11 against each other, TDs were even, first downs were even, and a couple other stats that I can't remember (Give or take a digit or 2 on some of them), but very much identical. If we could have that same kind of rivalry, but with both teams at the top of the division instead of the bottom (Granted, the Texans won the division in 2011 and 2012), that would be awesome.
I'm in Houston Texas fan but I know we lost but we gave them a run for their money that was a great game I would love to see more games like this

Texans had like 4 PIs called on 3rd down that were bogus and led to two TDs, an illegal motion on a deep pass play that would have put them in FG range, Tank ruled out on a catch when he clearly had two feet, in, a blatant false start by Jaguars tackle, helmet to helmet that was missed on Stroud etc.

theres something to be said for the mental toughness, determination and winning culture he's clearly instilled into his football team. they always play their hearts out. I remember trevor throwing 4 interceptions in the wildcard and then coming back to win like nothing ever happened.
Yeah refs bailed out the jags clearly the illegal shift and the tank dell catch on the sideline were both great plays but refs knew Vegas needed jags. I wonder how much refs made that game

Not gonna talk about the refs….they missed a lot BOTH WAYS….but get a kicker like ours and you would have won. @@Curtis-ze6gbdude, the biggest missed call of the game favored Houston. The Jags were driving in the 4th quarter to seal the game and the Texans held their receiver so he couldn’t get to the ball (it was a bad hold) and it allowed the Texans to intercept it.

Both of these franchises are well run. They both have suffered recent bottoming out (Urban Meyer, Post-Watson) and both have bounced back well, better than most would. They draft well, they FA well, make smart personnel decisions. Wish my team had a front office like either of these teams.

I mean that missed hold giving the int was a massive miss not only because it was obvious, but it was clearly a swing in momentum as well. Jags were moving and on the verge of extending the lead and instead it swaps 7 the other way.
It was also clear the refs threw a couple flags as an apology so the zebra had their fingerprints all over both sides. Jags had 6 penalties and the Texans has 7 so this wasn’t this massive disparity.

Richardson looked better than I thought he would in the three games with the Colts this year. He needs to learn that NFL players are not afraid of contact and avoiding contact is his best option. Stroud and the Texans look a lot better on the field than on paper, the second year is the real judgment for this team. Once the NFL has a year under their belt, the Texans may just be a one hit wonder, I can't wait to see. My Jags are still pretenders (just like the Bills). Not built for the playoffs, definitely not a SB winning team.

This was an awesome game b/w 2 quarterbacks of the future. Trevor Lawrence have been on a tear recently with his connection with Calvin Ridley. C.J. Stroud did a great job with leading back from behind, but sometimes he’s gotta give the defense credit for getting to the quarterback.

Wow what a game. Both of these QBs are the future of the NFL. Cj is phenomenal and Trevor is looking like he’s going to own the NFL very soon. If he ever knows he has that it Factor Opposing team are in trouble. CJ already knows this and is cool calm and collect. Trevor looks at times to have a weight on his shoulders because he was the #1 pick with a million expectations place on him. While Trevor has a chip on his shoulder because he indeed should have been pick #1
The Jags are my favorite team since Mark Brunell. I have them both rostered on my Fantasy team and I couldn’t choose who to start. My heart said Trevor but I chose Cj to get the Start. Only because I had Ridley… Lol

The Texans have not placed enough emphasis on recruiting a quality backup kicker. Even a backup field goal kicker in the NFL should be able to regularly and accurately kick 50 yarders. The lack of attention in this area cost them the game and will continue to be a hindrance to their playoff hopes

Don’t be discouraged, Texans fans. Even if the Jags win the rest of their games, if you can win most of yours then you could still make the playoffs. Even in a loss, Stroud looked fantastic. Especially with that elusiveness.
Last time the Texans won I remember seeing comments saying everytime they play the Jags it's a guaranteed win. Proved them wrong today. Was a great game by both teams and had me on the edge of my seat the whole game. Go Jags!!!

Oh, there's plenty of talk about it. But let's also realize that there are plenty of plays and opportunities in any game that the refs DON"T make mistakes in. It still comes down to who is the better team that day.
