The jester should’ve absolutely been a miniboss. Just give him a healthbar and that’s it. That way the arcades would feel so much more complete with a miniboss at the end.
The first jester gave me such a hard time, so seeing another one come down the stairs in Arche Abbey just made me stop and stare at the screen for a moment
14:05 it's worth mentioning that there is one more encounter with the Puppet Police Man enemy type found in the late game: the puppet that is guarding the first balista tower in Barren Swamp uses the same moveset as the Policemen just with the added element of lightning damage to contend with
I’ve heard news lately that we should be hearing about a DLC for Lies of P very soon, and a sequel has been officially confirmed recently as well. This game is absolutely brilliant, so hearing that made me start yet another play through of it recently. They’ve really polished the game. I would love to see you do more Lies of P videos, I’ve always really enjoyed watching your content for it. A few ideas: 1. Top 10 Weapons 2. Ranking the ailments/afflictions 3. Ranking the Legion Arms 4. Ranking the NPC Questlines 5. Top 10 Secrets/Mysteries of Krat
I like the general theme going on that the humans you fight do end up being as monstrous if not more than some of the actual monsters. I also think there is some good theming with simon manus who wants to eliminate all lies which the game deeply associate with being humans. The great irony of simon is that even in his final form, he remains classified as a human. No matter how much of a monster he becomes, he never manages to escape his humanity.
I didnt really share the struggles you had with the dual shield puppets. The second one in particular was a simple trick of luring it down the rafter then circling around the side path to get past it. I used the same trick on the bearbugs blocking the tunnels in demon souls and im pretty sure its the intended way to deal with both of them.
That second Jester is one of the GOAT farming spots with the 2 big Carcasses, run past him and trigger the second one then run back, Pandemonium helps a lot 👍🏻
The carcass scorpions actually have thick armor on their limbs and other parts of their body which I'm suprised you didn't mention in the video which makes your weapon bounce off sometimes but it can be destroyed if you utilize the flaming puppet arm at it's Max upgrade and it breaks the armor pretty easily which is pretty cool and adds more to combat against these scorpions.
My favourite enemie is the wrestling macho man i just love his overly excited moves it feels like the enemie is having as much fun as me. Also because they fight like a mini victor who is my favourite boss aswell. Great video and i hope you get to 20k this month.
I don't like pretty much all carcass enemies...but puppets are mostly interesting. Though I do just straight running from boss to boss more often now...
The puppet that I found the most fun to fight was the spider lady’s the whole puppet string boost of the creepy little girl puppets, I absolutely loathed fighting the jesters. The carcass enemy enjoyed the most was the ones that throw there guts at you in the rafters of the church as you need to dodge said guts while on a beam very double squeaky bum time 😂. And finally the human enemy I enjoyed the most was the machine gun guys in the abbey section of the game you need to dodge in quick or risk you HP bar being destroyed. I absolutely adore this game please more lie of P content
Circling the Double Shield Puppets was a good strategie for me. I really enjoyed fighting the furnace puppets (the first enemy in the swamp, firstly seen in Chapter 3.
Nah that jester was harder than every boss for me other than the swamp monster, ik he wasn’t insanely hard but for some reason I couldn’t get any of the timings down
I enjoyed the video and more Lies of P lists are always welcome but I feel like this should have been categorised as ‘non health bar mini bosses’ rather than ‘enemies’…..Ignoring that what I suggested is an SEO graveyard but hey, that’s not my job!
Lies of p is a bit weird with those as some of those mini-bosses have boss healthbars, while others dont despite being used in the exact same circumstances.
Lies of P is so much better than Elden Ring, in fact I like it second best as a Souls/soulslike game only to Bloodborne (maybe Dark Souls 2). The TLC put into this game makes me adore every second of each playthrough.
Love your videos this was a nice summary of the worst offenders. Though please stop trying to pronounce Arche Abbey! Its nothing other than Arc or Arch, and never the guttural phlegm you come out with, it just doesn't exist in any language. Not a diss on your work, just want more people to enjoy your content :)
The Jester Puppet is the stuff of nightmares. I remember being stuck on it for a while in my first playthrough.🥲they were way easier in NG+, thanks muscle memory 😅
Lies of P in 2024? It's more likely than you think 👀
I like that you treat Lies of P as an honorary souls game. I always say that it captured the spirit of FromSoft better than any other soulslike
Seeing Lies of P always makes me happy
Fr! ❤️

Totally agree, that guy caught me off guard TWICE
Once you understand that the caged enemies attack him too makes it too easy, the two jester can be cheesed
I was at low health when he jumped out, so I ran back as far as I could, and accidentally had the carcasses kill him. Made my life easier though
The first jester gave me such a hard time, so seeing another one come down the stairs in Arche Abbey just made me stop and stare at the screen for a moment

You know it’s a good vid when ur hit with that Fuoco theme like WE MAKIN IT OUT OF THE FACTORY WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Fuoco theme is the best boss theme in this game
That Venigni pronunciation 👌👌👌Even Japanese streamers I was watching play lies of P were having a field day saying his name. 😂

My least favorite enemy to fight was that stupid hugging puppet. It’s the goofiest move set that just makes you feel stupid dying to it
5:51 I'm pretty sure all the alchemists have that weak spot. I found it out just while playing the game and it was pretty fun to learn.
I’ve been waiting for Billy to get to Lies of P! Such excitement, much joy.
Cane alchemists are not the first human type enemy in the game, those guys with assault rifles are, found in the Great Exhibition
And both the hulk mini boss and Viktor are technically human also

2:24 Rooftop Shield Puppet teaches you to use throwable items:)
Video idea: Top 10 LoP records and/or boss music tracks.

Giant carcass scorpions always be like "I showed you my butt! Pls respond!"
Mad Clown Puppet is my nr1
Technically, I'm pretty sure the first human type enemy is the gunners in chapter 7, not the cane alchemists in chapter 9 onwards
Lies of P is such an amazing game even with some of its flaws. The best souls like ever and my personal 2023 game of the year
Would like to know how those big puppets found themselves at Arche Abbey

My farming spot
The Shield puppet from the exhibition, you could lure it out of aggro range, and when it’s walking back, you can dish out all your damage + visceral
THE.SPIDER.WOMAN.IS.SO.SCARY.
We have a release date for Shadow of the Erdtree. Now we just need one for Lies of P dlc.
Lies of P is much better than Elden Dung… I mean Delayed Attack Ring
The lies of p return was highly anticipated at least for me 📈📈📈
Ever since I heard the way you say "Venigni Works," I can't say it any differently. Otherwise, I feel like I'm committing a crime.
I will continue to be up for Lies content so 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I suppose baby puppets were created to play with children
Lies of p my game of last year! Love this fucking game. Hoping DLC comes out this year . But I hope they take there time and cook.
Not the Loosey LaDuca special :sob:
Yesss we love lies of p
Nah that jester was harder than every boss for me other than the swamp monster, ik he wasn’t insanely hard but for some reason I couldn’t get any of the timings down
11th viewer. I feel lucky. Love your vids Billy. Listen to them at work.
“Once the dlc drops”
Wait… lies of P is getting a dlc?!
Yes I’m fairly sure they confirmed this. Regardless we are either guaranteed a dlc or a sequel, given the cameo from Dorothy at the end of the game
I enjoyed the video and more Lies of P lists are always welcome but I feel like this should have been categorised as ‘non health bar mini bosses’ rather than ‘enemies’…..Ignoring that what I suggested is an SEO graveyard but hey, that’s not my job!

I don’t get the hate for Fextralife

Hmmmmmm 😂😂😂
