It blew me away when I watched this on Dec 4, 2011 for the first time, and reminded me of how much it mirrored my own life at that time. My whole life then had changed in what felt like moments -- a dear friend had moved away, another one had just died, my father was just placed in a hospital for advanced alzheimer's. When Bree said "How did I lose everything" I just about fell out of my chair. Pure writing genius when Mary Alice said: "I'm not unhappy". This scene was beyond emmy worthy! There are no words to express how powerful it is when the camera pulls back to reveal Bree is alone. Just brilliant!
I was also going through some personal trouble that came to a frightening climax at around the time this aired. I could see a chapter of my life coming to a close at the same time that this show was, and I realized very concretely that both would be ending in certain ways, my life ending a long dark chapter. I am in a better chapter now, but it still makes me sad that this show couldn't come through with me to the other side, because it was there with me during a very golden time of my life which has passed on.
This scene was so dark and powerful. I remember thinking that the show really could get away with killing off Bree, being in the final season and having everything come full circle. So glad Renee burst in.

I am so heartbroken her right now. Her friends basically just dumped her. Susan, Gabby, and Lynette left a comrad behind. After everything Bree did to protect them this is how they repay her? Especially Gabby?! The scene between Bree and Mary Alice made made me tear up.
This scene makes Marcia Cross an actress second-to-none. The instant Bree takes her sight back from Mary Alice down with the latter already gone is so heartbreaking.

In this moment I'm really pissed off with Gabby, Lynette and Susan. For God's sake, Bree was just trying to protect them all (that's why she's my favorite character, she's such a loyal friend and the strongest one). If they need to be mad at someone, that would be Susan and her stupid paintings! She always screws things up. Susan is being stupid, Gabby an ungrateful person, and Lynette such a hypocrite. I'm really hating the housewives' attitude. Poor Bree...
I think gaby, bree and lynette should blame susan😤 because she is the one who got them in more trouble😝.. and I'm talking about that painting she made😠😠

That's real funny coming out from her. And I think you know what I mean by that.
Lynette was a control freak in every single aspect of her life : her career, her marriage, her friendships and her children's life trajectories. She was unsufferable but the worst of all was Susan.

@TJniby1026lala And finally Susan; I have too many negative things to say about her because she is now my least favorite Housewife >:( It's her fault that Chuck saw her painting resembling the moment the women buried the body in the woods, and him getting suspicions with all the women in episode 8x08. If she hadn't have painted it in the first place, none of this wouldn't have happened. She does make plenty of ways to screw up many things right now.

To say I am not unhappy is stating I am just existing. This is how ghosted parents feel every god damned day. I sometimes hate my 3 ghosting children for this. May they reap what they are sowing.

And after 7.5 years I know Marc Cherry is going to bring their friendship to be even stronger than ever now. He just has to... @TheTomScavo dude it was dark, u could barely see the color of the car. and u couldnt see the tag. plus tons of people on that show have similar cars. the only person who doesnt is mike. plus this is d.h. they r going to make u think it is bree cuz of the fact everyone saw her get in her car and drive off but that's just a red herring. like in the who shot mr. bruns thing years go. plus if it was her why is she trying to kill herself in a motel afterwards
Well I know final scene how will end . Somehow Bree promised to Orson to keep waiting him forever . Bree's son will live with her .lynet and Tom will get together thanking to their little doughter to try to run away from house . Susan discovered his son could really good drawning . Carlos goes to Rehap after all suspicious about that cop died and soon will get better .

3 months ago, I knew she would try to kill herself. This is so Bree Van de Tramp-esque. I mean, she is the only one to have that darkness and that potential in her, and Marcia Cross is the only who can recreate a Mary-Alice death like that. In fact, I though she would have really killed herself instead of having a cheap cliffhanger like that for the winter hiatus. The show is so unfunny and shaky, now, what are they all going to do ? The storyline with Alejandro is half-finished..
They all need this isolation. Especially Bree. I love her she's my favorite, but they killed a man (kk he deserved it, not point)! So Susan painted a picture of it. Lynette and Gabby are being ungrateful. So what?? Susan projected her feelings out, Lynette lost Tom, and Gabby has so much to deal with because of Carlos. If they didn't project their anger out on each other they'd be inhuman! And they're not killers, they drive carpool!

Bree probably knows that, for Mary Alice, there's no more unhappiness, but also no more happiness. Mary Alice doesn't ever encourage Bree to take her own life either (different than when Lynette visualized Mary Alice offering her a revolver).
