Bree had every right to be mad. They literally turned they’re back on her when she was the one taking the fall for something they all had a part in. Hell, Susan was going out causing chaos and even painted a painting of them burying the body. So it was all her fault and they left her high and dry.

Those two were sisterly soulmates. Angie Bolen oh god yes! Angie would have been a great friend to Bree if she stuck around longer. It’s always the ones who claim to be there for you yet treat you like garbage at your worst, without even knowing what’s been going on because their judgment scares you (as it would anyone) off. You try improving for them yet they never give a damn. You’re driven to the point where the only solace you have is horrible booze-induced “coping” mechanisms and some randoms who give you at least sexual pleasures yet they b***h when you give up and move on after so many damn attempts. People just don’t get that maybe listening or understanding is more important than condescension, assumptions, and judgement. I cant even begin to describe how I love and adore Cross' performance. The moment Lynette says "We just want things to back they were before" you can clearly see Bree is hesitating. For a second or two, she thinks of it. Thinks of all those years of friendship, poker nights, dramas they went through earlier, how they are great friends (because yes, they are great friends, watch all the seasons)...like life-before-your-eyes moment. But she declines anyway. Buries it deep down, like Bree always did.

So she just understood that, of course I am not denying that the girls left her, and denied helping her... This is true, but they regretted it and they do love her... :) What I didn't like in the end is that they all felt apart and drifted away... All this friendship and in the end everyone just went there separate ways... I am trying to live as this did not happened and they all live in Wisteria Lane and are friends ! Haha ;D

They went through a lot together and yes that makes friendships stronger but they also leave scars and when you want to move on though it hurts you sometimes have to move on from the people as well. Bree went against her ''morals'' to help Carlos and Gaby, she ran and bought the ''confession painting'' and she tried to give Lynette very little to worry about because her marriage was falling apart and not to even mention that she told Chuck (the detective) that she would stand by her ''friends'' no matter what which she lived up to. Lynette was my favourite and now i see her differently because i expected her to rationalise better and Susan put me off here and there but she was watchable and Gaby was entertaining but Bree was, is and will always be the reason i binge watch ''desperate housewives''. They weren't very nice to her to begin with ... they ignored her and treated her horribly. They did use and ill treat Bree and then they iced her out. Gaby of all people should have stuck at Bree's side. And I can't stand Gaby's snobbishness in this moment, Susan's with that ever stupid look on her face and Lynette with her annoying expression.

Bree deserved better friends. She did everything to protect them and they turned their backs on her saying it was her fault they almost got caught when Susan painted the crime scene and went to see Alejandro’s wife. Bree should have never forgave them after this.
Bree was going down a bad path. Suicidal tendencies, alcoholism and sleeping around. But her friends were complete hypocrites and never appreciated her.
This was Bree’s defining DESPERATE moment. For all her life, she was desperate for people to be grateful of who she was and what she meant to them. At the very least, she wanted acknowledgment and an apology. She couldn’t get that from her kids, her spouses, neighbours, and at some point, her friends. With that, not that it’s excusable because I’ve been there, it’s easy to spiral. And you need people to fall back on. Being alone can literally kill you.
Wow the audacity of Gabby saying “loose morals” after all the shit she did and after Carlos killed her stepfather she saying that she did not want Carlos in jail again and Bree coming up it’s the solution. Funny how she said everything was Bree fall when Gabby was the one with the problem

I feel like Bree had the deepest character and greatest growth of the seasons. Unlike the other girls she didn’t just grow externally she also grew internally.
What is worst, adding to what everybody just said, is that they didnt even care when she told them she was going to kill herself. Lynnette and Susan were THE WORST. I mean, I know Gaby was selfish letting Bree take all the blame, but at least she put the whole thing behind her, unlike Lynette and Susan who were just being so dramatic about it. I also liked Mike's approach telling Susan that Alejandro deserved to die and that she was making a big deal out of it

This was the main thing about the friendships in Golden Girls, Sex and the city, and Desperate housewives. In SATC, the four girls like and love each others. In Golden Girls, the four girls love each other. In Desperate Housewives, the girls just liked each other, there was nothing deeper there. Bree was the only one who actually cared about her friends in any deep way.
I always saw them more just as neighbors who liked to gossip than true friends. The moment any conflict occurred, they would say "friendship over." They were fair weather friends at best.

I disagree with a portion of this statement. In Sex and the City that friendship between those girls seemed way too unrealistic to me. They tell each other absolutely everything. It seemed very dull and boring to me. The Golden Girls and Desperate Housewives friendships felt more realistic to me. The girls love each other. They are willing to do just about anything for each other even die for each other. However they are not afraid to call each other out on their BS and or roast each other. The other realistic part of their dynamics is that yes they may be close friends but even then close friends have hidden secrets about themselves they don't want the other to know. We saw that first hand with Mary Alice. Actually now that I'm writing this I vaguely remember Marc Cherry the creator of this show saying this same exact thing I'm saying but in a more creative standpoint to the premise of his show.
I dont understand why people are mad at Susan and not Gabi. Gabi is the worst friend. I know the girls made their choice, but Gabi let this happen and dragged her friends into this. Yet she has the nerve to go at it on Bree. Remember when gabi, susan and lynette went outside late at night : susan & lynette wanted to the right thing cause they couldnt let Bree take the fall alone. Gabi hesitated, told the girls not to do it. She wanted things to cool down and expect the problem to resolve by itself. This is what Gabi always do, never take responsibility unless something or someone force her to do it. She only cares about herself and family. She doesnt even think about how this all could ruin her friends's lives.
Didn’t Bree do the same by covering mama Solis accident in an attempt to protect her family ? Didn’t Susan lied for Mike in an alibi and convinced Zach to go away in search of his father to protect Julie? Didn’t Lynette cover up for the twins causing a fire inside a restaurant and lied for them? (which I understand they were manipulated, but still there are consequences) So tbh we can’t judge neither of them by their actions, when all of them did horrible and immoral things to protect their family or reputation at all costs. Gaby has her flaws and took horrible decisions that affected each character, but so do Bree, Susan, and Lynette.
Gaby was the worst after shit became difficult. How does she dare to say "Thank you" and "I care", when she just diminished her behaivor. I really hated Gaby for this.
You know I definitely expected it from Lynette and Susan but not Gabby,considering she and Bree had the closest relationship in the last few seasons, she acted like she couldn’t deal without Bree for even a second and just shuts the door on her, it doesn’t make any sense,they were terrible,all of them in the end, I only give Gabby the benefit of the doubt because of all the trauma she endured in that murder and not wanting to be reminded of it, but the other two especially what the hell? I would’ve never forgiven them…Bree was the best friend any of them could’ve asked for..she deserved better. The only person who deserved Renee was Bree and I’m glad she told her at the end that,that saving her made her the closest friend she’s ever had.
Gaby is also the one who pressured Bree to dump Chuck after Bree suggested staying with him to keep tabs on his future investigations. None of them would be on the edge of getting arrested if it wasn’t for Gaby forcing Bree to dump him. Then Susie Q thought it was a bright idea to paint exactly what they did down to the dinner party (THAT THE COP ATTENDED) 🤦🏽♀️ They had no right to treat Bree like that
Honestly I don't really like Bree for her preasure towards the whole family to be perfect and for ruining Orson's life, but she definitelly didn't deserve to be treated like this. Especially she was the head of the entire plan.
She got tired of being “positive and proper” it’s hard to keep a smile and be polite publicly. Glad she moved to the south and found house wife’s that had her style.

Actually bree did so much for these friends. But she was not a great wife for rex or good mother. So maybe she just deserved this from people she really cared for
Season 8 was dark and not fun to watch. There were some funny moments, but thats it. When I have a binge watching DHW weekend, I always skip season 8 😞
I love how people are crucifying Susan when in reality Bree was the one who wanted them all to spend the rest of their lives like Mary Alice did, knowing well how that ended. Susan and Lynette never wanted any of it, and the best thing they all could have done was call the police. Instead, Bree wanted to pay a debt to Carlos and for some stupid reason decided to put everyone at risk. This scene is ironic because she's the worst friend out of all of them. None of them were ever going to just live peacefully with that kind of secret, and the proof is in Bree's suicide attempt, she who was supposed to be the one that was used to putting on facades. All of you blaming Susan or the others didn't learn a thing from Mary Alice's example.
I agree that Susan wasn't the worst (to me for ex. Gaby acted worse), but I think Bree did this not to pay debt to Carlos, but to save Gaby from loosing her husband and Juanita and Celia from loosing their dad. Also if it comes to her suicide attempt, as someone who's been through this as well I gotta tell you, that, when you decide to do this, you usually don't do this because of wanting people to feel guilty, but because you yourself feel either like you are the one who should feel guilty, or when you can't take things that happen around you anymore and you feel too overwhelmed with the reality.
Renee was a better friend than all 3 of them and she knew Bree for a year and they knew Bree for over a decade

The way bree has to apologise to then after this really pissed me off, the girls shut bree out because she tried to keep them as safe as possible. And then they gossip about her, and then judge her, and she has to say sorry? Where's the logic lop

in my honest opinion, the 8th and final season was the best. absolutely incredible television, and one of the best ending runs of a tv show ever.
Bree was absolutely right. She was always willing to do anything to protect and help the others and they treated her like rubbish. Marcia Cross acted the hell out of this show.
Bree endured the most. She always kept it together until she couldn’t. Women eventually break.

When bree told them she tried to kill her self you could instantly see the shock and concern on gabby and lynettes faces but susan just looked at the others cos she didn’t believe bree. Susan was always the worst, bree will always be my favourite

yeah i also didnt like susasn..she was always showed as the sweet girl who wants to help always. but most of the things she just did because she felt guilty and didnt reflect what her own actions does to the others and most of the time she needed helped

I usually kind of like Susan, despite her being grating, but that non-reaction was horrible, along with her even suggesting it could be a joke.
Bree deserved better friends. She did everything to protect them and they turned their backs on her saying it was her fault they almost got caught when Susan painted the crime scene and went to see Alejandro’s wife. Bree should have never forgave them after this.
Bree was going down a bad path. Suicidal tendencies, alcoholism and sleeping around. But her friends were complete hypocrites and never appreciated her.
They really let Bree down here, such a powerful scene when they realise it
This was Bree’s defining DESPERATE moment. For all her life, she was desperate for people to be grateful of who she was and what she meant to them. At the very least, she wanted acknowledgment and an apology. She couldn’t get that from her kids, her spouses, neighbours, and at some point, her friends. With that, not that it’s excusable because I’ve been there, it’s easy to spiral. And you need people to fall back on. Being alone can literally kill you.
Bree really went through it during the 8th season. Wooow.
Wow the audacity of Gabby saying “loose morals” after all the shit she did and after Carlos killed her stepfather she saying that she did not want Carlos in jail again and Bree coming up it’s the solution. Funny how she said everything was Bree fall when Gabby was the one with the problem

The connection that Bree's character and I have is ominous
I feel like Bree had the deepest character and greatest growth of the seasons. Unlike the other girls she didn’t just grow externally she also grew internally.

Lynnette and Susan were THE WORST. I mean, I know Gaby was selfish letting Bree take all the blame, but at least she put the whole thing behind her, unlike Lynette and Susan who were just being so dramatic about it.
I also liked Mike's approach telling Susan that Alejandro deserved to die and that she was making a big deal out of it

@@LeonC0704 Gaby and Bree handled the whole thing way better, though. Yeah Gaby let Bree take the fault, but in the end she decided to come clean about it and was about to confess. But Susan and Lynnette were just sooo ridiculous about it with their guilt.

This was the main thing about the friendships in Golden Girls, Sex and the city, and Desperate housewives.
In SATC, the four girls like and love each others. In Golden Girls, the four girls love each other. In Desperate Housewives, the girls just liked each other, there was nothing deeper there. Bree was the only one who actually cared about her friends in any deep way.

I always saw them more just as neighbors who liked to gossip than true friends. The moment any conflict occurred, they would say "friendship over." They were fair weather friends at best.

I disagree with a portion of this statement. In Sex and the City that friendship between those girls seemed way too unrealistic to me. They tell each other absolutely everything. It seemed very dull and boring to me. The Golden Girls and Desperate Housewives friendships felt more realistic to me. The girls love each other. They are willing to do just about anything for each other even die for each other. However they are not afraid to call each other out on their BS and or roast each other. The other realistic part of their dynamics is that yes they may be close friends but even then close friends have hidden secrets about themselves they don't want the other to know. We saw that first hand with Mary Alice. Actually now that I'm writing this I vaguely remember Marc Cherry the creator of this show saying this same exact thing I'm saying but in a more creative standpoint to the premise of his show.
I dont understand why people are mad at Susan and not Gabi. Gabi is the worst friend. I know the girls made their choice, but Gabi let this happen and dragged her friends into this. Yet she has the nerve to go at it on Bree. Remember when gabi, susan and lynette went outside late at night : susan & lynette wanted to the right thing cause they couldnt let Bree take the fall alone. Gabi hesitated, told the girls not to do it. She wanted things to cool down and expect the problem to resolve by itself. This is what Gabi always do, never take responsibility unless something or someone force her to do it. She only cares about herself and family. She doesnt even think about how this all could ruin her friends's lives.

Didn’t Lynette cover up for the twins causing a fire inside a restaurant and lied for them? (which I understand they were manipulated, but still there are consequences)
So tbh we can’t judge neither of them by their actions, when all of them did horrible and immoral things to protect their family or reputation at all costs. Gaby has her flaws and took horrible decisions that affected each character, but so do Bree, Susan, and Lynette.

You know I definitely expected it from Lynette and Susan but not Gabby,considering she and Bree had the closest relationship in the last few seasons, she acted like she couldn’t deal without Bree for even a second and just shuts the door on her, it doesn’t make any sense,they were terrible,all of them in the end, I only give Gabby the benefit of the doubt because of all the trauma she endured in that murder and not wanting to be reminded of it, but the other two especially what the hell?
I would’ve never forgiven them…Bree was the best friend any of them could’ve asked for..she deserved better. The only person who deserved Renee was Bree and I’m glad she told her at the end that,that saving her made her the closest friend she’s ever had.
Gaby is also the one who pressured Bree to dump Chuck after Bree suggested staying with him to keep tabs on his future investigations. None of them would be on the edge of getting arrested if it wasn’t for Gaby forcing Bree to dump him. Then Susie Q thought it was a bright idea to paint exactly what they did down to the dinner party (THAT THE COP ATTENDED) 🤦🏽♀️ They had no right to treat Bree like that
Honestly I don't really like Bree for her preasure towards the whole family to be perfect and for ruining Orson's life, but she definitelly didn't deserve to be treated like this. Especially she was the head of the entire plan.

As someone who’s suffered from substance abuse this is on the nail! Try to do everything for everyone but the one time things go wrong your relapsing and you need an intervention but nobody asks why?

But Susan didn't get a happy ending, which seems fair. The one I absolutely hated through all the seasons was Lynnette. What a horrible woman. She didn't deserve to have a happy ending with Tom.

Season 8 was dark and not fun to watch. There were some funny moments, but thats it. When I have a binge watching DHW weekend, I always skip season 8 😞

I love how people are crucifying Susan when in reality Bree was the one who wanted them all to spend the rest of their lives like Mary Alice did, knowing well how that ended. Susan and Lynette never wanted any of it, and the best thing they all could have done was call the police. Instead, Bree wanted to pay a debt to Carlos and for some stupid reason decided to put everyone at risk. This scene is ironic because she's the worst friend out of all of them. None of them were ever going to just live peacefully with that kind of secret, and the proof is in Bree's suicide attempt, she who was supposed to be the one that was used to putting on facades. All of you blaming Susan or the others didn't learn a thing from Mary Alice's example.
I agree that Susan wasn't the worst (to me for ex. Gaby acted worse), but I think Bree did this not to pay debt to Carlos, but to save Gaby from loosing her husband and Juanita and Celia from loosing their dad. Also if it comes to her suicide attempt, as someone who's been through this as well I gotta tell you, that, when you decide to do this, you usually don't do this because of wanting people to feel guilty, but because you yourself feel either like you are the one who should feel guilty, or when you can't take things that happen around you anymore and you feel too overwhelmed with the reality.
They were so evil to Bree😢.
