Something I only learned recently (something to add to the list of the MANY english translation fails). This dialogue at 7:28 : *Cloud :* "All right. I'll hold them off." *Aerith :* "Right. Make sure they don't get through !" ... is totally wrong and should have been translated as : *Cloud :* "All right. I'll catch you in my arms." *Aerith :* "Right. Catch me tight please." You're welcome.
I agree! So wonderful. Goes to show that you don't need 1080p graphics to make someone feel something! I still love this game just as much as when I first played.
+AlyssaStrachan I know this comment is old by now, but 'Flowers Blooming in a Church' is one of the first songs that got me interested in video game music outside of the usual stuff like the Super Mario Bros theme. I still listen to the FF7 soundtrack (mostly this song when I need to relax after a day of work or when I'm thinking of this girl I like) to this day mostly out of nostalgia, but also the fact that FF7 still has a great soundtrack overall (especially the main JENOVA theme and Judgement Day, both of which complement each other when you get to the endgame to get you ready for Safer Sephiroth aka the One-Winged Angel ;) ).

Why does she laugh after "jack of all trades"? Cloud asks, what's so funny, but it's never answered. She even tells him not to let it get to him. Let WHAT get to him? This dialogue seems so disjointed.
They really screwed up this part in the Remake IMO. Changing the music, changing Aerith's personality into this annoying ditzy girl, and changing the scene from a quieter melancholy meeting into an action scene..
Whaaat. That was my favourite part of the remake. The music was the advent children version of aeriths theme which I thought was perfect for a modern reiteration. Fair enough about her personality. May not be everyones cup of tea.
They fought due to cloud really being more confident in himself as a SOLDIER and reno not buying it in this timeline. Reno was bout to dieing remake but the whispers showed up to keep plot same as this original version. In a way the whispers are you lol.

wow, if you see how they re-imagined that rooftop scene in REMAKE... it became such an intensely pleasing and warm moment in the game.
They portrayed Reno in Remake like he's more powerful than his Advent Children version
