I love the banana cream. It’s my favorite conditioner and I use it as my everyday day rinse out, it has amazing slip on soaking wet hair. I also love the orange marmalade. I don’t mind that they need refrigeration and I take them out an put them on my counter to let them warm out. They need to be refrigerated because they aren’t full of preservatives, and I prefer clean products.
The leave in smelling like rice water is a good thing. It means there is a significant amount in there, unlike a brand whose name I won’t mention where rice water is near the bottom of the ingredient list.
Wow I guess everyone’s hair is different. I absolutely love this line and that is the best deep conditioner I’ve used so far and it melts in my hair straight out of the fridge.
Yes! I agree..I absolutely love these products...I am on my 4th purchase of the shampoo, deep conditioner and Jello Shot. I just purchased the Orange Marmalade which I will be reviewing soon.
I've used the rice pudding leave-in and really loved it. I'm still on the fence about orange marmalade, but it does work well with the leave-in. The Jello-Shot works well with these two products. No flakes at all and good hold with the gel. I have to make sure my hair is soaking wet for all of it to work. I do dislike these products taking up my refrigerator space! The banana conditioner or mask, is cold as hail when I take it out the fridge. That's probably my least favorite.
Yeah the coldness of the product threw me all the way off sis! I’m going to break down and get the jello-shot because I feel like my hair will respond much better to that one. Thanks for watching love! 💕
Great results! I’d love to see you use the orange marmalade for a wash n go solo. It gives me a ton of hold and shine once it’s dry *i use a diffuser. Have you tried Annabelle’s perfect blends? Her products are amazing! Especially the strawberries and cream line. The wash n go hold has a good crunch and pairs well with the twisting cream from the line.
I will try it again for a wash n go. I did love how defined it made my curls so I’ll give it another try. And no, I haven’t tried Annabelle’s but I keep hearing great things! Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely add that one to my list 💕
Thanks for the honest review. I tried the deep conditioner and orange marmalade. I too don’t get the definition I want and I actually got a lot of frizz. I think it might be the aloe Vera juice. I even tried adding a hard hold gel. I’ll probably go back to Jessicurl.
I just purchased these 2 products during their labor day sale. I used the get tonight for a touch up from my wash n go. It held well and has a crunch which I like, but it should loosen up in a few days
I love my strong holding gels but I have recently been liking UFD curly magic and the curl maker for a fluffy look. Is the orange marmalade similar to either of those? I am definitely going to try the jello shot. I heard that hold is amazing!
Gabby Lincoln I haven’t used the curl maker in years so I’m not sure about that one, but I feel like the UFD curly magic has a tad bit more hold than the orange marmalade. I also feel like the UFD has more of a jelly like consistency, while this one is closer to a mixture between a cream and a custard. I hope that makes sense lol
Love your reviews. You explain everything so well. I just purchased their peppermint schnapps shampoo, the banana cream deep conditioner and the orange marmalade gel. I'm looking forward to seeing what they will do.
Thank you so much for showing love! Tell a friend, to tell a friend to check me out lol 💕 come back and let me know what you think about that shampoo because I had my eye on that one as well!
I have been using orange marmalade and Banana Cream for over a year. I don’t refrigerate it. My husband keeps the house at 70 degrees year round. I use the products up fast enough that they don’t spoil on me. I smell them and check the consistency every time I use it. I do wash my hair every 3 days though.
Yes for calling out the refrigeration! 😂 It’s the main reason why I won’t purchase these products because if I have to refrigerate it I will forget about it. Part of the joy of wash day for me is walking to my box and deciding what I’m going to use. Also to me refrigeration means that this product does not have a very long shelf life and for what we naturals pay for products they should last.
Tay D okay I thought I was the only one who enjoyed walking over to my product stash every wash day to make the big decision 😂 glad I’m in good company! Thanks for watching!
Same here. Refrigerate? No thanks. Flaxseed gel is too easy to make and leaves good hold. Also CHEAPER but I can't stand it for the same reason. (Refrigeration)
There is definitely a pro to it needing to be refrigerated, it just means it doesn't have all the preservatives/chemicals used in products that don't need refeigeration. It still lasts 9 months which is a pretty decent amount of time.
Thanks for the review. I have seen more people hyping this line up. I purchased the leave in during the sale as well and I hope I like it 🥴 it looks really light.
I will say that today (day 2) my hair feels really good and soft. I’m attributing that to the leave in since wetline usually leaves my hair crunchy. That smell is NOT the business though 🥴 lol thanks for watching boo 💕
Really good review. I ordered the banana pudding and the orange marmalade and the refrigeration thing is making me concerned. I do use a microwave heat cap for deep conditioner so I think that’s ok - my thought is, on wash days, I will take out the products before I get in the shower so they aren’t ridiculously cold. And I can just put the conditioner back in the fridge when I go to the kitchen to microwave my heat cap. Luckily I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week - I probably will need to rely on a different product for refreshes though. I don’t see myself using a refrigerated gel every day. My hair is a 3b with some 3c so it may work better for me. We shall see!
I have been using orange marmalade for about a week now and do that. I take it out before my shower so it's ready when I get out. I actually think the coolness is a little refreshing! I'm a cold sensitive person too. It doesn't bother me at all. Probably the worst part is just having to go to the fridge and get it. LOL
AllThings MoElle yeah the hold is 🤩🤯 I don’t know I really like the orange marmalade but it flaked up on me with the products from the same line. Love your videos keep it up🥰
hi moelle 🤗 tfs this ecoslay products demo and review. purchased on sale, and with a free mister bottle - yes! ive heard great things about this brand...but i need to make space to keep them in the fridge 😁👍🏼😁
New subscriber! I just ordered the banana cream and the rice pudding and received the Jell-O shot last weekend. On the fence on the marmalade though? I need a hard hold for wash n go’s! 😉
Welcome to the fam! If you need a hard hold then you made the right choice by getting the Jell-O shot instead of the marmalade. I wish I had gotten the Jell-O shot instead!
The products shampoo and deep conditioner were less than okay... not impressed. My hair did not appear to really benefit. I got the whole line. I hated all the smells. I will try Jell-O shot and orange marmalade latter...for wash and go. I received all products during the hot summer. Maybe the products did not do well during travel in the heat...it might have spoiled. Why don’t they pack it on ice if it needs to remain refrigerated. I didn’t smell banana at all. I don’t smell orange. I placed it in the refrigerator after first use...does not smell good at all. Will not purchase again.
Thank you for the review! I couldn't get the orange marmalade "gel" to work either: I need a STRONG hold gel. I recently placed an order for the leave-in and new jello shot gel. After your review of the leave-in, I'm a little nervous. I have high hopes that the new jello shot gel has a super strong hold.
So I will say that I’m on second day hair, and it feels soft even after using wetline. My hair is typically super crunchy after using wetline, so I’m thinking that the leave in helped to prevent some of that crunchiness. So don’t be nervous! Things work differently for different people. Come back and let me know what you think about the jello-shot though, sis! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
