These ecoslay products have been sitting in my fridge for a while but I finally got a chance to try them out! In this video I review the Banana Cream Deep Conditioner along with the Jello Shot Gel. Beautiful results 😍 I believe it’s meant to smell like a strawberry Jell-O shot. I can definitely see how it can come off chemically if you’re not expecting a alcohol scent. ecoslay is sooo good 😊Can’t wait to see the battle

This gel is truly my HG. Leaves my hair sooo shiny and clumped. It's vegan, black owned, nice ingredients, crazy hold and definition, scent doesn't linger forever, lovely owner, I don't have to use a ton of it...I love it!

I don’t shingle either takes to long. Just throw whatever used in an go about my business. Could tell when you put the gel in it was gonna come out really good. Probably will try them as soon as there’s room in the fridge 😂. Be trying to eat my veggies and fruit takes up a lot of room
Raquel Parrish I feel you on that one. I hate it has to go in the frig. Barely any room in there. I had a small cosmetic frig once but it didn’t last so I really don’t want to buy another one. Waste of money. Escoslay is EVERYTHING though!!!!!

I love both Ecoslay stylers but have been more fixated on Jello Shot to the point where I need to reup! I find the Orange Marmalade to be somewhat drying so testing out leave-ins that play well with it. The DC didn't wow me but its a good DC in general, I don't regret purchasing it. I didn't have a good result using it as a leave-in under the Marmalade due to the chunky bits in the DC. I have the Jello Shot in my hair now and love the definition, shine and longevity as this is going to last until wash day next week without a doubt. Bit of a learning curve with these stylers as they feel so good applying them that you will initially use too much. Like I said, I am reupping on Jello Shot today (Labor Day) especially since a new Leave-in is releasing TODAY (at 10am est) and 25% off sale!!!
Black owned brands have my curls looking and feeling amazing and thriving beautifully! Ecoslay and Honey's Handmade products are all I've been using for at least the past 6 months. I have not forgotten my Adwoa Beauty Gel though; gotta give credit where credit is due.
Hey love! For me the chunks in the DC melted away as soon as I worked into my hair. I didn’t think they were though lol. You are also not the first person who said the marmalade felt a little more drying. So we will see how it works for me lol. Thanks love 💕

Yessss to the Battle!!!!!!! They feel pretty much the same on my hair. I ran out of the Jello Shot so I finished up with the Orange marmalade. Same. Maybe the Jello Shot was a tad bit more moist than the other one but my curls looked the same throughout. It goes on very well. POPPING WNG!!!!!! I’ve never used their deep conditioner. Next on the agenda. Your curls are lovely!!!!!!💗💗💗 Ok I need to get the deep conditioner because though I loved the definition my roots were super hard, But I used half the jar so... 👀 Even though it was hard I purchased again. My curls were beautiful. I’ve used it 3 times now. Love it. WE SLAY WE SLAY WE SLAY ALL DAY!!!!! Or I should say ALL Week!!!!!

I agree these products are good. That gel had HOLD HOLD 😂 I know what you meant when you said it was a tad bit too crunchy that’s how mine was when it fully dried even though I like a good crunch too

That deep conditioner worked wonders in your hair! I can tell by how it looked when wet that your hair was really moisturized. Does it have a strong banana smell?
You definitely can smell the banana but you can also smell the cream. Imo its not that strong of a scent.
To me it smells faintly like banana baby food. It definitely doesn't linger and it doesn't smell super sweet or artificial.

can you do a review on how to get a no crunch wash n go
Hey love. To be honest, no crunch was n goes are not my thing. The only wash n go with no crunch that I like is the Kinky Curly leave in and custard which I have a video on. The Tailored Beauty Coily Jelly is good and gives me definition and no crunch but I get lots of volume and some frizz.
I just used the deep conditioner last night and I was amazed at how moisturized my hair felt even when I stepped out of the shower. I too was shocked that it had slip being so thick. It also helped control the frizz. Would I buy it again? I would if I didn't have to keep it refrigerated, so maybe not during the summer months so I can just store it regularly lol for the winter most likely.

I love that deep conditioner but i dont reach for it often because id have to heat it up to use it since im low porosity, and that extra step be killing me because i dont want to mess with the quality of the oils by sticking it in the microwave. But for some reason i dont get the same results if i just put it on cold and sit under a drier
And heating it by sitting some in a bowl in hot water is a pain since its so thick
Hey Lauryn. Funny when I was using it I was thinking about how my hair is going to react to it cold. I’m also low porosity and use heat with my DCs but using my thermal hot head really helped. But I can totally see where you are coming from. Thanks so much for watching 💕

I’m glad it worked for you. I think my products were destroyed from the hot summer heat during delivery. If the product need to remain cool...they should have packaged them that way. My products did not smell good and definitely did nothing for my hair. I will not purchase again.

I've been considering looking into these products & this video in combination w/ your battle of the orange marmalade vs jello shot convinced me to give it a shot! I was a little on the fence price wise, but hopefully I get good results! Oh, and your skin is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

What do you recommend under the gel to soften the hold? I want to try the gel but I'm scared of the hold. I have the orange marmalade and don't like it, I need more hold.
Hey love! I know that many just use a leave in and a gel for a wash n go, but using a cream in addition helps to soften the hold. I have only tried the gel with the banana cream conditioner underneath so I can’t give you an exact combo. But I do plan to keep experimenting with this gel more this year and see what pairs with it well. I hope that helps.
