This is a true story of Ronnie Dunn’s life, he said it was one of his hardest songs to sing, Ol Man Wrigley was like a father figure to him, And I know it hits me deep every time I hear but I still listen.

This is NOT a sad song. It is a song about HOPE. Old man Wrigley BELIEVED in Jesus Christ, and knew that when he died, he'd go to Heaven and be reunited with his wife and child. This is the knowledge ALL who believe have. Jesus has promised all who believe a life in Heaven for eternity.

This song was based on the real life experience of singer Ronnie Dunn, he also wrote it. This song shows us the value of Godly mentors in our life. The seeds sown Into Ronnie Dunns life bore fruit and lead him to seek God. It's a great testimony and while it depicts our earthly loss and grief, it also fills us with hope and faith that our earthly loss is only temporary in Christ. There will be a reunion for God's people.
Makes the song even more special. We are reminded to appreciate the people who were “real” about Jesus!!!!

There is, and you can if you just have faith. You may want to look at a recent scientific experiment done with the blood taken from the cloth wrapped around Jesus's body after death that shows there's no other explanation and scientists who believed in the theory of evolution are proving more and more that our creator is real. Accept him as your Lord and savior and he'll accept you as one of his children in eternal life. Please watch that video I mentioned. God bless
This song really makes me restore My Faith even though I may have times in My life when time's are hard I May doubt but then I see what All Jesus has pulled me through and I just can't believe it all ends in a slow ride in a Hurst so for that few reasons I believe

Something that has amazed me for a long time is that most folks don't think about the fact that falling in love will always ends in separation and sorrow, grief and despair will always follow. However, we are all willing to pay that price for the happiness, joy and bliss given to us by that true love! We are all blessed and cursed. Be glad that you have such deep and strong feelings. This was sad for the young man loosing his friend. But happy for the old man as he is with his family now.
It is a true story about Brooks was young and he wrote this song to dedicate it to his friend he had as a boy. Also they’ sang this song really close to the time Dunn was killed in helicopter crash and Brooks stop singing. I don’t know if Brooks has sang since his parter and other half of the group again. Just knowing the whole story makes it really sad.

The only thing that is sad is he will miss that sweet old man in this life only. "I believe" he will see him again in heaven. "I believe" that through Jesus and believing in him we will go to heaven and see our loved ones again.
This brings me back to my Mom's strong faith, just when I needed to hear it. She died at 95 in 2006 when I was 55. Remembering her words helps, feels like I was the young boy and my Mom was like "Old Man Wrigley" in passing this faith to one another. ❤
