What I didn't know when I filmed this is that in addition to being available online, it is also in Barnes & Noble STORES! You can use this link to plug in your zip code and check if it's in stock near you: bit.ly/RavensburgerGradientCascade
UK when
How do I get it in Australia
When will it be available in Europe? I need this!!!
I got one today at my local Barnes and Noble. They were not even on the shelf yet. The guy had to go in the back and get one for me. So if you don’t see them on the shelf ask an employee if they have them in the back. 😊
Too late! I bought one on line before the video was over. 🙂
I finished my first 3000 piece puzzle recently and I just want to tell someone, so now everyone who's reading this knows.
Yay!
Yes I totally agree with this!!! I just finished a 1,000 piece puzzle today and I feel so accomplished!😂🧩
Haha so happy for you!!
]
I‘m proud!
Very nice! ;)
I think I'm gonna buy Karen's first puzzle, that's gonna be my first 3000 pieces one. Don't even have the table to do it, all the 2000 ones I split on 2 tables.. xD
Wow, the first one must have sold like absolute hotcakes. The cost involved with making completely unique tooling that can't be reused for ANY puzzle other than the Gradient Cascade is an investment they would never have made if they hadn't known it would be worth it for them. It looks like a blast to solve, too!
That's why I was so happy when they actually went for it! It's a surprisingly complicated product to make.
The first one sold out way too fast! I hope they do a second run of them!
@@adventureexe6032 Aren’t there exorbitant shipping costs? I ordered something from Amazon Japan and it literally cost me three times what the original item was.
@Karen Neill I'm pretty sure it sold out twice, although not quite as long a period the second because I missed the first run, then saw the announcement for it being restocked and it was already gone again lol. I did finally get my hands on one.
I feel like Karen is single-handedly reclaiming the name Karen as a positive with this line of puzzle merch. Congrats to all involved in creating these little boxes of joy!
🤞🏼😄
@@kevinpatrickcarey3741 I'm sad to inform you it already has a negative connotation in my country. 😕 In a totally different way than Karen and not as severe, but still I hope you are in a different country so people won't prejudge you.
@@Alinor24 where are you from? I can't see his comment, but apparently his name is Kevin and I'm wondering if you're German or whether prejudice against Kevins is a thing in more countries.
I got this puzzle a couple days before my wedding. It was sooooo hard to not be like “hey everyone I’m just going to skip the rehearsal dinner to puzzle”
The first thing I did after the wedding was solve this puzzle. It was so much fun. And I kind of enjoyed not having seen Karen do it yet. I really didn’t know what to expect so I think it made it a bit harder. Now I want to go do it again.
I definitely know the feeling of wanting to skip something just to keep working on a puzzle 😂 I'm so happy you liked it!
congratulations on your wedding!!!
The stop motion dancing puzzle pieces is everything. Don't ever change, Karen!
First off, congratulations! Secondly, seeing that footage of the Ravensburger factory made me wonder if you would ever be able to tour a factory and show us how the hotdogs are made. ❤😊
Maybe one day 👀
That stop-motion animation at 23:20 is well done.
Yes, did you actually put in each piece then take a picture? How long did that take?
I think she just moves a piece while filming, makes sure her hand is out of frame for a sec. At the end you just grab screen shots from the video footage. So no need to manually take a picture after each movement.
@@soubiagatsuma833 My guess:
From the whole puzzle was always taken away one piece after the other. And after each removal a photo was taken. So what you can see in the video as stop motion is backwards.
The part in which the large pieces of the puzzle are opposed was taken as the last. But it is the first to be seen in the video.
that segment was my favorite in the whole video. very satisfying to watch the outline fill out around the larges pieces.
Just wanted you to know I started a puzzle club in my classroom inspired by and in honor of you and your teacher. I have had puzzles in the class before but haven't made a big deal of it. If they finished it or not or if they didn't have time, it didn't matter. But now it matters because it matters to them. They just finished the first small puzzle and they're moving on to a 350 piece puzzle. They are very excited. I told them about you and your channel and if we have a chance I will find a video that you've done and show it in class. I am new to this class and have only been with them a few weeks. This is our way to bond. I believe I have them again next year so I promised we would make puzzles an integral part of the class.
Oh my gosh, I'm so honored 😭
I did this puzzle last weekend. I wasn’t convinced my initial sort was useful, but I subconsciously sorted out the “italic” pieces, the edges of the “glass” pieces, and the rest of the background. It turned out really well and I loved it!
I'm so happy you liked it! There are so many different ways you could sort these pieces 👏🏻
A great idea for making this a family puzzle would be to bag the mega pieces separately after the first use, so everyone can make their own. Could be also a nice way to build this in a friends' gathering.
Yes! My friends and I are having a game night next week and I'm fully planning on making my friends do all the mini puzzles while I do the background 😂
This is such a good idea. I don’t normally let my husband help me with puzzles but I could like him do the mini ones 😂
I recently retired and decided to reclaim the love I had for puzzles as a kid. Found your channel and I'm so glad I did. Your positive attitude puts a smile on my face everytime I watch a new video. Just bought your puzzle today and can't wait to jump in.
This needs to be a teams or pairs puzzle in a competition. it's PERFECT for it, since each person can work on one or more of the giant puzzle pieces.
Karen your excitement is infectious! I just ordered this from Barnes & Noble with my puzzle group of seniors in mind. Lately we've been doing obvious parts of 1000 piece puzzles in trays because our vision for building off the frame is not so good anymore. This will be ideal! Looking forward 😊😊😊😊
Love that!
I got mine yesterday and trust me that was the most fun 6 hours of my life, and she wasn't lying about how fun the custom diy cut was. 🎉
I love to hear that!
Both are affordably available in my country (the Netherlands)! Karen, I hope you're proud of the worldwide star you deserve to be
I'm normally a viewer only and not a puzzler, but I feel super tempted to buy this puzzle. I love the mini puzzles within a big puzzle design. The first one was too intimidating with the number of pieces but this one with the lower number of pieces and the way you can sort of get the satisfaction of completing mini puzzles feels more approachable.
Ordered as soon as you said the piece count!! I can handle 1000! So excited to get one of yours!! 🤩
But can you handle 1027? 😂
Karen going meta with a puzzle is what we love to see! Such fun!
I keep saying this and will keep saying it: Karen's joy is infectious. I love how excited she gets and it makes ME all warm and happy. i cant help but smile when watching your videos Karen
It was cool to hear about the process of designing this puzzle. Congratulations on your second puzzle release. 😃🎉 What an interesting concept with the removable sections.
My favorite puzzles are the ones with beautiful puzzle pieces! I love when each piece is like a mini piece of art. Like a watercolor painting! Congrats on your puzzle!
i feel like this concept of "each piece is art" can be taken to some really extreme level... like, a puzzle where the image itself is composed of artistically created objects, placed together in a deliberate composition that makes sense for a jigsaw diecut. but instead of using just purely abstract 3D art, we have actual famous artworks or artpieces that make sense together in a scene... like a mix n match of elements from famous paintings together?
I’ve done about 100 jigsaws and your 3,000 piece was absolutely in my top 3 favorites of all time. I loved the size and challenge. I just ordered this one and I’m so stoked. It’s funny you’re not using Amazon, I guess they caused you a huge headache 😂😂
I paused this around 40 seconds and had to buy it. I've never felt compelled to buy something from watching a video, but this I could tell I needed to have.
Thank you!!
Congratulations Karen!!! Another beautiful puzzle from you!!! I can't help thinking about people decades from now who are looking at these puzzles and going back to do the research about YOU....like you have done with some of your collectibles. Who is this "Karen" and what is her connection with puzzling? LOL They will be most pleasantly surprised.
As long as there's internet, they'll be able to find tons of information about me 😂
And they will be blown away but what you already accomplished at your young age....and I'm sure there's more to come.
I simply loved the way you mixed both puzzles particularly the last shot where we just sat back to admire it. To me, that last shot would make an absolutely fabulous puzzle Karen. Well done, you make us all proud.😂
After watching the “short” you posted related to this puzzle I can honestly say Ive never felt so truly happy and proud of another stranger/person in my life. Lol. Such an adorably beautiful person. ❤
There was exactly 1 copy in my local B&N and it wasn't with the other puzzles so I had to get someone to find it for me but it is mine now 🥰
I ended up with 2 other puzzles too. I'm blaming you for that and not my own poor impulse control 😂
Successful trip!
This is stunning! The glass outline is my favorite part of the design, it’s funny how it was added just for technical purposes 😂 I’m so glad! ❤
Do you live outside of the US and have already been able to get one? Please leave a comment telling everywhere where it is available in your country!

I just found this gradient cascade puzzle at a Goodwill, it was standing sideways on the shelf (with others, like a bookshelf), pieces not bagged, no tape on the box lid. I thought, "No way will this have all the pieces". I completed it this weekend, and happy to report that every piece was there! Couldn't belueve it!
You should be so proud of yourself! You have taken your passion for puzzles and gift of artistry and created something; and not just any old thing, but a unique work of beauty and cleverness! You have taken what could be called a solitary hobby and turned it into a gift for everyone. Many, many people will take great joy from what you have created. You are a professional and gifted creator and the world is better for what you have done with Ravensburger and your channel and many other things. Well done! And may I say, beautiful things come from beautiful people.
Cries in UK, this is so beautiful. Congratulations Karen ❤
The gradient cascade puzzle would be so much fun to put in a classroom for students to solve or in a library!
For sure!
Saw this video and it inspired me to buy your puzzle. What a great puzzle, we loved it! Thanks for design and high quality of this puzzle, spent many wonderful moments working on it with the family! Also thanks to Ravensburger.
Oh my gosh that stop motion 🙌🏻 That must have taken forEVER.
Kudos on another launch!! You clearly are super passionate about this and it shows 🥰
Ok, I now have both of your puzzles at the top of my wishlist. However the Cascade Gradient is absolutely the first one I want! It is just so dang cool!
I hope you get it soon!
These colourful puzzles I usualy do by starting with the colour I like the least (green) and end up to the one I like the most (usually blue). I searched Gradient Cascade and first though it's not going to be available, but then noticed that it will be very soon. yay!
I'm hoping for a gradient cascade appearance here in New Zealand. I'll have to wait patiently for a local stockist as international shipping is ridiculous. Fingers crossed it won't be too long and someone will have it.
You convinced me Karen, I bought it online after watching this video. It was hard to find, sold out on most of the canadien websites. Congrats on that! Ended up doing a reverse image serch, was able to buy it from a small shop in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec. Can't wait!!!
Wow, good detective work!
I got Gradient Cascade a few weeks ago here in Canada but to be honest I really wanted to hear the backstory first so I could fully appreciate the work that went into it while I solve it! It looks like a ton of fun, I can't wait to put it together. Congratulations on your second puzzle, Karen!
Thank you for getting one! I hope you like it once you put it together!
That combo of the 2 puzzles should be your third published puzzle!
I am absolutely loving the little time lapse you did for the Gradient Cascade after you completed the puzzle!!
I haven’t solved it yet but bought Gradient Cascade when you teased it last month(?). I’m in the states and ordered it from Canada. Now I want to go to BN to buy another! 😆
(If I do I’ll donate it to the craft room at the college my daughter will be attending. It’s an amazing space (free) for students to unwind make-create-puzzle.)
Thank you for getting it! I think donating one to a school is an amazing idea ❤️
The sad thing of watching content from overseas is when you see things you absolutely want but are not available in your country 😢 The puzzle looks stunning and having all those mini puzzles is such a great idea. Hopefully it will be released world wide sometime.
What country are you in? We are releasing it worldwide, I just don't have lists of every single retailer around the world.
Hi Karen! I’m from Singapore. I would love to get your puzzles. You are a genius! I absolutely love the designs. Your enthusiasm in puzzling is so infectious and inspiring! ❤
I cant buy it online because they dont ship to the Philippines.
I've almost saved up enough to buy your first puzzle, and you've already come out with a second! Maybe by the time I get the Gradient Cascade, you'll have a third. Looks like so much fun to do, congrats! Thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle-piece-ception as well.
What a stunning puzzle and with a great twist! Definitely on my Christmas list when it reaches the U.K. You are so talented Karen.
@@valeriechetwood2732you should double check to see if it’s already out, because they sent it out overseas first
Just did this puzzle yesterday! Took me about 5 hours and 20 minutes not including the sort. I did the mini puzzles first. This was a very satisfying puzzle to do and the fastest 1000(ish) puzzle I’ve done
I will 100% be saving for this puzzle, it is so beautiful Karen! I’m so excited for you 🦄
The colors are out of this world I can’t put into words ahHHHH
I love the scene in which the pieces are pouring out, so you can make the puzzle. The colors are so beautiful, and that blue isn’t so much a color as a vibe.
This is beautiful, and I love hearing the thought process behind the design! You Wes, and Rachel did an amazing job!!! The gradient cascade really does make this so fun to look at!
3000 was too many pieces for my puzzling table, but I can just manage a 1500-piece puzzle, so this one should fit comfortably. The design looks really fun -- look forward to trying it!
I just finished this puzzle for the first time, I had SO MUCH FUN and i can't wait to do it again cause there's like 1000 ways you can do it and make it a different puzzle every time
Just finished the puzzle - what a fun combination of gradient colours, different textures and funky piece shapes. I rarely had to refer to the box. Thank you for this great puzzle, Karen❤!
Have never been evenly vaguely interested in any gradient puzzle, but this will be an exception to that. Looking forward to getting this puzzle. Thank you and Ravensberger for all the creative effort that went into this puzzle!
starting to watch and i'm liking that giant puzzle piece shaped puzzle in the middle!
You are a treasure! So exciting to see you on the box. We have a Barnes and Noble near us. I can't wait to get one!
Speaking of joy, if any of us could experience the obvious joy in what you are doing, we would all be better off!
Justbought this and 2 more to get back into Puzzles. Thank you for reminding me about how much fun this can be!
The big pieces look like lucky charms marshmallows when they are out of the puzzle! Such a yummy gradient cascade ❤
I love love love your dedication to your idea. Your gleeful reaction is totally infectious.
I just got this puzzle a couple days ago, and it has turned into my favorite puzzle of all time.
Congratulations Karen, you deserve it, it was really fun putting the two versions together. My mind just blow.
One of your puzzles should be released in a puzzle competition as part of an event you cannot compete in
I bet Alejandro could do it in like 40 minutes.
Thank you, Karen for helping me rediscover my love of puzzling!! I have some great vintage Springboks to solve from my past relatives. I'm currently solving the Eaton - Tiger puzzle from 1979! 😁 I also have the matches puzzle from 1984, along with a few others! I definitely want to get your second puzzle! Love it! ❤ I will definitely be looking into speed puzzling as well! Looks so fun! Thanks again!! *Gradient Cascade!*
This looks like a really fun puzzle. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
Love seeing the communication process between art and product design
Wow. You are a puzzle goddess. The meta puzzle geometry element is amazing. Did you just start a new trend. (Yes, it's not the first but might be the most "popular"...always appreciate Karen's meticulous thoroughness of history and origins...never exploiting credit) It's not only handy for "beginners" who want to just do a little bit, but it will definitely add "speed" to the whole puzzle in general. Currently, just the edges, color, and piece shape differentiation guide the assembly. The meta shape is like creating brand new floating internal edge pieces, and it is actually double-sided. Amazing.
I got TWO of your puzzles
from family in the EU over
a month ago and the mini
puzzles were my favourite!
Gradient cascade puzzles

I love this puzzle, so colourful and fun. And the stop motion of your puzzle was so cool 🧩 😀
The _gradient cascade_ is so beautiful! I absolutely love the concept of this puzzle. It’s definitely on my wish list! ❤ I can’t wait to see what other puzzles you’ll come up with in the future ❤😊🌟
Congratulations on the release of your second puzzle! Mine is ordered, and I can’t wait to put it together. 😊
Loved making this puzzle. Just the right amount of difficulty and variety. Colors are beautiful.
This is a great puzzle. I love that you are so happy with final product and proud of all the hard work that went into it.
Karen, what I love most about both of the puzzles is the colorway. It's bright and happy without being neon. Can't wait to get my hands on the new one!
So so proud of you! The gradient is gorgeous!
Congrats Karen!!! I had a big smile whole video, the excitement was infectious :D I LOVE that you're sharing the design process for your puzzles. And the puzzle looks amazing! What a dream!! A gradient cascade, even! 😂
I started doing puzzles after watching your videos and I actually want to start designing and DIYing my own. So this was a huge help! I think that puzzles is a fantastic way to interact with art. You really have to examine every detail in the piece, and you get to know all the tiny decisions an artist makes on the way. Even people who might otherwise not be interested in studying artwork can have fun and appreciate the piece! The amount of attention that goes into a puzzle from the viewer is almost overwhelming, so every little bit of examination in the design goes a lot further than in most other mediums. So it seems extra rewarding to get to make these. ❤
Gradient Cascade. This puzzle is so beautiful and such an amazing concept. It was so satisfying to watch you put it together. It will be so hard to know where to start on a puzzle like this. I think I would just start putting pieces together and see where it takes me then try putting it together in different ways like you mentioned. Thank you for making such beautiful puzzles and sharing them with us.
So happy to see your success! I'm actively trying to pare down my collection so I have room for more than 100 of the best puzzles my mom left me, and I _still_ had to order this immediately! Ravensburger is high quality, and my only frustration with them is that they only come in ribbon cut, and I prefer random cut. I'm excited about a Ravensburger with a more unusual die cut!
The die cut of that puzzle is so cool! I think I need to go to my local Barnes and noble and pick up a copy! Thanks for walking us through your design decisions. One reason I love your channel so much is because you go the extra step, whether that is solving a challenging puzzle or one of your “deep dives!” ❤
Me and my dad are in the middel of building This puzzle, literally SO fun! Both me and him loves it!
I recently found your channel and it reignited my love for puzzles, it had been about a year since I did my last puzzle and after watching your videos I went out for 6 new (to me) puzzles that are more challenging than ones I’ve done in past, you make it look so easy!!! What takes you six hours is taking me like 40. I got puzzles that are like all purple with just varying shades and repeating pattern. I used to stray away from those knowing they were harder but watching you preserver through tough puzzle makes me want to just keep going. I love your channel and I can’t wait to buy your new puzzle I’m ordering it this weekend :)
Yayy!!!🎉 So happy you made a smaller piece count puzzle! I have a small little space in my studio apt. to do puzzles. I was bummed out I couldn't get your first puzzle. This one is a super cool idea and just as pretty! Fingers crossed it gets here by next weekend cause I know what I wanna do ! 😊😁
Congratulations, Karen! I will definitely buy this puzzle. I'm sure your family is very proud of you.
I loved doing this puzzle! I wanted to wait until after I was finished to watch your video and see your strategy. My goodness, you went about it in a much more interesting way than I did. LOVE LOVE LOVE you saying one can do the puzzle again and again! Will do, Karen! Thanks again! Have loved puzzling since the early days of the pandemic and finding your channel has been super awesome
I love absolutely everything about this!!
This puzzle looks amazing!! I really enjoyed watching you solve it! I love the unique puzzle pieces as well! Also GRADIENT CASCADE!!!!
Fascinating journey to the making of the puzzle.
How many more puzzles are in the series? These puzzles are beautiful!
Wow that final shock with the gradient puzzle pieces was amazing!
I am glad you got to do your own jigsaw puzzle. It show how much your channel connect with a lot of people. Good job.
I've already done it (it was available very early in Germany), and I found it the most enjoyable puzzle I've ever done!

How amazing! Congratulations, it's so fun!
Gradient Cascade Gosh This takes escape room puzzles to a whole new level I love this puzzle personally I would start with the inside puzzles but as it’s a gradient like the million dollar puzzle I would have to take my time with the colors to actually get it done.
this is sooo exciting! i'm really keen try solving gradient cascade!!!!
the gradient cascade on these puzzle pieces is amazing i also love the floating puzzle pieces, i'd probably start with the puzzlepieces before the background
