The engineers who tracked, final mixed and mastered this did a superlative job. Let's give a shout out to Yusaku Kato and Masayuki Minato.
Outstanding. Reminds me of the Jazz-Rock Fusion era of the early-mid 70's. What a great tune and collaboration of musicians.
I loved this. I haven't heard some new funky music in many years. It is refreshing.
Man where have you been …..this is lame listen to Dirty loops Turbo and you’ll never be back here lol
check out vulfpeck as well if you havent
Juna you are the Princess of Funk!! The band plays so well. The singers bring it, also!
Glad to see people still know what good music is. The record companies don't.
Thats not true.... supply and demand. if consumers wouldn't SUPPORT or BUY junk.... labels would be forced to put out real music.... labels follow the money.... they careless about good music..... so... if everyone would stop accepting sub standard talent and wack music the industry would have to put out "real music"
FACTS!!!
@@ChristianRobinson They won’t stop, the majority of people are dumb.
The record companies certainly do know what good music is but it's all about business so they put out what sells the best
You've got that right!
Totally inspiring to see youth of diversity embracing the music. Kudos. Well done.
Who would have thunk there was such funk in Japan? Funk on ladies.
How could any human being give this a thumbs down unless they are just soul-less? I love these kids and will help spread they brand of funk!
I'm in love with Mimi's playing. Wow, what a fantastic drummer she is!!
She Killed It!!!
@Dennis Rankin - Great playing and she's *gorgeous!*
As an older musician, I can say that music is in good hands.
I don’t know about that. But are still young people out there keeping funk alive.
Nice to read 👍🙏
Clearly they are 🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾
Back to 1975! Loved, loved it.The Princess of Funk rules!
Crazy skills across the board in that band! Cheers to the backup singers and horns for laying it down while the others play around. Solid.
No doubt! That's the kind of freedom the so-called "rhythm section" (a rather old-fashioned term) can enjoy when the ENTIRE BAND is rock solid on the groove like we see here.
Me love Juna and Tokyo Groove long time. Such fantastic chemistry and musicianship.
Positive vibrations. Yeah!
Fantastic Bass playing,,plus a great backup band.. loving it.
Absolutely stunning performance! This band swings like ol' Babe Ruth!Seamless interaction and everyone on the 1,outstanding Horn section , and Juna and her drummer in the pocket!ALWAYS!This woman Juna Serita, has an
ambition. I am certain she will reach the heights of her soul and dreams.Domo Arrigato!🔥✨🎼🙏🏼🎼✨🇨🇦🔥
I am not to inspired by the younger generation's music groups today because, the true talent foundation of the art of music being of real instruments, almost seem like a thing of the past, you just have the studio sound mixing board matrix. But now, after watching & listening to this group, there is a minority that is keeping it real, indeed. If I turned on a radio, an heard this group playing this track and never saw there faces, no doubt I would have thought something new from EWF, or Tower of Power. My jaw dropped to the floor when I heard, and watched this group. One word to describe this group, " AMAZING". You Guys are keeping it real, truly. Keep on, keeping on.
This puts a giant smile on my face!
Like the groove! Good to see that you can still bring that FUNKY
beat!

All that funk stinks so good it takes me back to when a horn section was the norm 70’s baby. Loved the little nod to p-funk.
Shoot I'm going to need to De-Funkify after theis LOL
Uma ótima lição de como compor um excelente funk para os atuais 'funkeiros' do brasil...
This is tight!
Seeing Japanese girls on the horns playing Funk.... It's the most trippy thing my eyes can't handle lol
Humans are basically the same everywhere and every race. Race doesn't mean shit. It's good you're open to this, but it should surprise nobody.
@@Gregorypeckory well, the key word as I see it would be "basically." Yes, they are *basically* the same, but that in no way means that you're just as likely to encounter a modern Funk-rock girl group in Japan as you would the same in the Western world. You may not be surprised to see them because their existence is in the realm of all possibility. As would A Christian avant-garde extreme metal band in an Asian Muslim country. Humans are basically the same everywhere, but their cultures are not, so the likelihood to encounter such is completely askew from culture to culture. I said "Japanese" to refer to culture, not race. If I meant race, I would have said "Asian." But you're right that race doesn't mean anything. But culture, and cultural exposure, does. So your statement that it "should surprise nobody" is only an opinion. It would be completely forgivable for anyone to assume that they wouldn't encounter such a culture-jump as this, even though they should know that their existence is possible.
They are funky all right. No matter what color or race. Music has no color and crosses all barriers. It's humans who create barriers, borders and just makes me sick
@@luiscirilo3851 barriers make you sick? I think you're being pretentious about that. Borders, too, huh? You sound like you fancy yourself better than humans. Are you superhuman? I doubt it. Don't feign ignorance about the fact that no one is talking about race. Or color. And if you can't tell the difference between culture and race, you need to hold off on the self-aggrandizing and get the terms straightened out. MUSIC HAS CULTURE and each culture has its own music. To pretend otherwise is foolish.
@@davidandcookie7648 I didn't think or mean to say you're a bad person, so forgiveness is overdoing it imo, but I simply thought calling it "trippy" that some Asian young women were playing funk was a bit silly.
You took it more seriously than I intended. But, like you said, it was only an opinion, and not a severe one anyway; call it "trippy" if you want. We all have a point of view; maybe it's okay that we don't see eye to eye.
Don't take this badly, but I also don't think it's all that odd regarding the culture comment, that someone from Japan or any nation where Americans have been playing their music for decades to large enthusiastic audiences might actually take up playing it themselves.
Maybe you aren't as aware as me of the amount of cross culture exchange that's been going on for a while, because I happen to really enjoy cross-pollination from one culture to another, so it's made me notice that there are lots of fans from every country, of music forms from distant places, and Americans seem to benefit from a lot more fans from Asian countries, than the other way around. From that perspective, I believe it would be more unusual for an American band to convincingly play Japanese or Chinese music, than for Asian bands to form playing American genres well; there's simply more people interested.
I think what you said was a bit silly, but like you said, it's only my opinion, and it's not even an opinion that you're a bad person.
I loved this! Princess of Funk Indeed!
Amazing grooves!
Man this is the best stuff ever seen
Sweet!!!
Ya'll awesome, so fresh, and full of FUNK!
I needed this hahaha
I'm hooked.
great!!!
Thanks for keeping The Funk alive🕶💯
Awesome!
Juna Serita puts the fun into funk!
There's a few comments about it being generic etc but, sometimes it's ok to just groove and have some fun :-)
EXACTLY!!!
Exactly...I'm a Jimi Hendrix dude (Noel & Billy are demigods to me)so I love the way Juna interacts with her instrument..it's as though they are 1..keep jamming young lady😎
