  • The Epiphone J-200 EC Studio pushes the "King of the Flat Tops," into the future with a spectacular cutaway for total upper fret access plus the Fishman Presys preamp system. Originally introduced in 1937, the J-200 style set a standard for guitar excellence that others have been trying to match ever since. Today-over 70 years later-the legacy of the "King of the Flat-tops" lives on in the Epiphone J-200 EC Studio.

I bought one of these about 3 years ago. I love it. Fantastic guitar for the money.

Bought one yesterday. Needs a set up but I love it. Intonation is ok out of the box but the action needs a reset. Tremendous value for the price! Good job, Epiphone!

Is it just me or does it sound a bit high register sound. Full Body? Maybe it is my speakers or computer. I guess I will have to try one live to be fair.

Yes, because the woods used are slightly different and lower quality than the ones used by Gibson. The cutaway also affects the tone, as does the different bracing.

Hi I have this same exact one and I’m trying to play it through my new amp, but it’s not working. The amp is a gamma 50 watt and the amp it self definitely works(tested through Bluetooth) but when I plug the amp in to my guitar it doesn’t work. I’m using the cord that came with the guitar too, is that the problem? Because it provides feedback when it’s not plugged into the guitar but not when it is plugged in. Please help🙏anyone🙏

It likely needs a 9v battery as I believe it has an active pickup.

I owned this guitar since 4 years ago, I cannot complained, but every time I plugged it I’ve got such an annoying feedback! Plus there’s no rubber feed that fit this guitar 😢
