I'm waiting for mine :) Should be with me next week. I couldn't decide which color I should choose tho, I was torn between black and vintage sunburst. Both looks great, usually I would go black, but this time I picked VS, this particular guitar looks so good in VS, like it was meant to be this way.
I just ordered one of these. New strings, pins, a nut and a saddle are also on the way. Why wait until the garbage stock strings expire before making it sound the best it could?
all you need is the the strings that make it work for you .. new pins dont really affect the tone very miuch at all. nore will the sadel unless its bone or metal and i would go bone nut bone saddle pins well plastic is cheap junk so bone pins for sure not that it will matter but it will be quaility over platic
Epiphone inspired by Gibson SJ200 doesn’t have a cut away, it also has as an orange label inside. If yours fits this spec it’s a rarity. The Epi web site states that the ibg is a non cutaway and costs $1300 cdn.
I've just bought an inspired version (£800 GBP). It sounds infinitely better than this model. I've had it professionally setup and used 11 gauge strings with ebony pins and it's unreal sounding. Very 90s britpop. Effortless to play
I bought mine in 2019 as an 'SCE' which stands for Solid(top) Cutaway Electric. They just dropped the 'S', although still with solid spruce top. Appears to be the exact same with the Fishman PreSys/Tuner electronics with one saddle pickup and jack, as opposed to how they used to have the ESonic system with two pickups and two jacks for stereo output option. I've noticed some ads nowadays indicate the CE has a rosewood fretboard, while others say pau ferro, which I believe is more accurate. According to my serial number, my guitar has a pau ferro fretboard. I got the same beautiful sunburst finish as the reviewer.
Just bought this today at Long and McQuade Sudbury, beautiful guitar
awesome

Are you planning on doing a review of the inspired by Gibson model
Very nice sound. I'm undecided between this and a Yamaha fgx800C, which would you recommend?
i reccomend you choose the one that you like the best its not just about sound its about the feel as well and we are all different in these areas
That's crazy, me too. I think I'm going to go with the epiphone though!
Nice guitar 👍

@@KevinMillard68 my youngest son bought one last year. The only difference is it had the “inspired by Gibson” headstock.
