@Chad Chadington KBS is Ryan from Canada. We allow the Boogie Brew name to be used by him as a separate product in that country. There's no "deal", we are open source and if someone in another country wants to provide a tea mix of their own, (while using the Boogie Brew name), then as long as no chemicals are involved, we are OK with it. Exporting natural agricultural ingredients to Canada is a non-starter for us, so Ryan's blend of ingredients is based on products he is able to source there. (Just don't ask KBS who is our prez tho...)

And we open source everything, we definitely don't want folks to feel obligated to purchase anything from us. We like being a small biz and definitely wanna keep it that way.

Giustos Organic baking supplies has the Sucanat in bulk. Grocery brands were purchased at Raleys/Bel-Air Mkt. Gro store stuff at Monster Gardens.
Something really cool and interesting I add to my compost teas is bee pollen. One of theost diverse natural substances on the planet . Bees visit up to 1000 flowers a day collecting nectar ,pollen and the bacteria and fungi that may come with it . It's technically a fermented food. Anyways besides great for us to eat ,it's amazing for plants .enjoy

It's common knowledge that deadrients made from fossil fuels destroy soil life: "Chemical fertilizers negatively impact the soil food web by killing off entire portions of it. Once the bacteria, fungi, nematodes and protozoa are gone, other members of the food web disappear as well. Thank you gentleman, for your integrity and honesty. Before watching this video, I started experimenting with brewing my own fertilizers using grass clippings, spent mycelium, some happy frog soil, kelp and ash from my fire pit. I work at a co-op, in a wellness department, and this have all sorts of protein powders I don’t really think I will consume… into another fermenting bucket they go, with a living slurry to break them down! It felt right in my heart (and gut), and this video truly reminded me that I am capable. As an herbalist by trade, my goal is to provide a short term option for long term health, whether they buy from me or not, it’s cool… my integrity remains. Now that MN is completely rec legal, I am excited to grow the plant that 20 years ago got me into my craft. Thank you for reminding us that we the people are capable, with a little help from our little friends.

Hey guys if you take molasses and feed bacteria or essential bacteria you can compost rotten fruits ,fish scraps,table scraps to make tea. Use this in the soil and man at the worms you can benefit . The pH will change and tree will recover from deficiencies. I grow organic fruit in Thailand and use this Japanese method for production. I make lactobacillus to bring back life to dying trees. We compost the tea with rice hulls and use the bio char. This is old school for the past 18 years. The molasses is readily available due to production of sugar from the sugar cane.
You don't have to pay a thing. Take all your fruit peels and expired fruit - blend and strain - Use this as your base liquid to brew

When I used to grow back on Saipan (CNMI USA) we used to collect top soil from areas under fruit trees. This soil would absolutely impart the smell (cured) and taste (burning flower) of the fruit tree. Mango, papaya, pineapple, etc...
My point, lol, naturally occurring sugars in the soil allowed us to grow some really nice bud that smelt and tasted like tropical fruit.

Ive used sugars to grow beneficial bacteria in compost teas. Molasses has been my go to for 20 years or so. its great for feeding inoculated rice cultures!
My soil is very alive with weekly worm casting Liquor teas I make. I’ve used molasses for years to feed my tea. I have a 50 gallon barrel I have air going into using 3/4 inch pvc to add oxygen to the tea. It’s unbelievable what this tea does to the plants.

This guy is very passionate about soil. I felt that.
I use Pridelands Bloom. I supplement that with different amendments at different stages.
Fish hydrysolate, bat guano, bird guano, lambeinite, kelp, Azomite, Recharge microbes, Humboldt Honey.
Worm castings, mushroom compost, chicken compost sometimes depending on what is available.
...I use a 2 part synthetic fertilizer, and that's it.
@@TheUnholyPosole I started off using fox farms trio. I prefer dry amendments. Organic living soil produces better quality. Also I can reuse my soil.

@@lyricsabotbieul5801 No, it is a molasses product from Humboldt Nutrients. It has molasses, volcanic ash, seaweed. I like it because it is actually easier to use than molasses.
Love using my Boogie Brix feeding my microbes, I also use the Boogie Blue plus filter and it's the best I could find for longevity and quality of water it produces. All the Boogie products are really good and use quality ingredients and obliviously the owner is an amazing person all around.

I’d have to see there gardens before I make that statement
I use potting soil in a bag and get great results. all the additives are nice if you are looking for a hobby and suffering from OCD or if you are starting a commercial business, but for us personal growers doing 1 or 2 plants at a time in a tent you wont see a worthwhile difference. I have tried it all! i was into bonsai and took my knowledge from that hobby to make my own soil, crop and bend a plant into perfect shape and maximized the yields and quality. but in the end it was a petty difference at best. the key things for me are big fabric pots (15-20gal) and don't crowd them. keep them healthy and they will be the best they can be.

Dead things dont make live things grow. If your claim had ANY truth.....the Plants would not grow on what you call Deadrient.

I think GH is a subsidiary of Hawthorn Gardening, which is a subsidiary of Scott’s…. which in turn is a subsidiary for Monsanto.
Considering Scott’s reputation for their general practices regarding “RoundUp” - i personally wouldn’t use any of their or their subsidiaries products!
at the end of the day using sugar is about thr vinegar or byferment aka organic acid production in the soil

Raw sugar is best. Brown sugar varies, dark has some molasses but light has very little. Raw sugar contains all the molasses. A jar of Grandma's unsulphured molasses will last a year for 4 dollars in my experience.

Here is my poor boy sugar solution…. 2 large onions through a blender with 5 gallons of water add this to tea.
That's true. You don't need sugar to produce a great quality cannabis plant and buds. I did an experiment where I grew 2 plants of the same strain one using brown sugar and blackatrap molasses and one plant without any sugars. And my conclusion is that the one plant with the sugars produced some great quality buds while the one without the sugar also produced great quality buds. It's a personal preference one I can do without. But if I were to use sugar I would only use it at the beginning, middle, and end,
I have been using coconut flour and brown rice flour in my topdressing. Instead of molasses because I like to water only outdoors. Tomatoes in my experience are much sweeter.

As a youngin in the cannabis world it's cool to see someone talking about how they were affected by operation green merchant. So crazy
I grind up malted barley and throw 10 oz. of it in a batch of tea to feed the microbes. Available at your local brewing store in 50 lb. sacks. Great enzymes, sugars and roughage for the fungi to grab on to.

@@bluejay3945 Yeah, sure. I use to brew back in the day (that bag of grain is over ten years old). I use an old timey hand grain grinder and set it to a course grind. From that I'll scoop out 10 or so oz. and add it to the tea to power the microbes.
It's pretty much a standard Actively Aeriated Compost Tea recipe; 1 cup of guano, 1 cup of compost, 1 cup of worm castings, and a couple heaping tablespoons of the following (kelp, crab meal, alfalfa, Bio-Live) and 10 oz of ground grain. I bubble it up in 2 gallons of water for 12 or so hours and once I've beaten the foam back top it up with water to 5 or so gallons total. I top dress with the remnants and water that in with the tea. Apply once every 1 or 2 weeks. I've done it weekly and the only thing it fails to do is burn the plants!

Save your money! I’ve been using blackstrap molasses for years . I tried something different plants on one of my plants. Are used distilled water which has a higher pH and I put 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Just an experiment. I couldn’t believe how much better it turned out than the others.
I use Agave at the end of the grow before flush.
Started my week 7 flush this morning with a 25 gallon batch of boogie brew tea.

I just go down to a farming area near me, at night, with a few bags and a shovel, and fill the bags up with their soil on their fields cause man that stuff is black!! And grows!!

My neighbor is 70. He said when he grew in the 80s-2000s, he would dig a 4ft hole 2-3ft deep. Start his compost in it around January. He would throw everything in. Dead animals, whole fruits and veggies and around may he would add rocks and garden soil. Mix it up really well and do the smell test for a week to make sure everything was decomposed the final touch was a tbsp of salt. Plant the seed and watch it grow. He said watering was well water or river water or worst case, pit cleaned water ( filtering water through a bunch of dirt and rocks like a river does). The pictures this guy has are unreal. The buds look dense and frosty. He talks about pheno hunting and thc content 10 percent. How times have changed.
Also look into corn steep powder. Loaded with sugar and nutrients etc.
Boogie brew is the product I have been using for years and years and years. It’s the one thing I still use actually, it’s the only thing I started and still use many years later.

Korean Natural Farming Fermented Fruit Juice works a treat
i use citric acid and baking soda for PH control with roots soil in a 4x4 tent and pulled over 7lbs in 1 cycle of amnesia haze. The only thing i did was add micros and a single transplant the last week of veg
Be careful with the baking soda it will build up over time. I would find a better additive to replace the baking soda.

@@mandlesevday3750 na ruff cut no major stems at this point I'd say about 12oz was excess water and about 14oz was trim but I was still 5lbs 6oz of clean top shelf indoor and 5oz of kief and the good trim was sorted used to make oil
Fermented Fruit Juice... I'm tempted to intercept and devoid my flowering plants.
Do your research, however I learned in my second year botany class at the University of Kentucky, in 1995, that Magnesium Sulfate a.k.a. Epsom Salt is an excellent flushing agent. It not only adds MagSulf but binds to nitrate salts and flushes them from your growing medium.
Tablespoon per gallon once a month or so is what I've been using since the 80's definitely unlocks things and allows the plant to get the nutrients it likes unlocks it from deficiencies...Works great there are much cheaper better products than going to a grow store...I know a bunch of tricks cheap ones

Love you Josh your the best. You had me cracking up! Anyways yes I gave all my bottles away, along with a small light to a newer grower who lives and dies with the bottle.
I now make all my own nutes by fermentation of the plants that I am growing. I just finished my first grow using this method and I will never look back. If growers need a bloom finisher. Just look to the grocery store anf ferment certain ripened fruits. Look up what each one offers and implement it in the ferment. Can use molasses, or organic brown sugar 1-1 for fermentation. Happy growing yall

@@Bongwell420 pomegranate if I remember without looking it up in my notes is a high phosphorus and calcium source. Strawberries is another high calcium source. Along with vitamin b like I said going from memory here and mine is stoned at the moment lol.
I give my plants molasses here and there through out flower and all of week 7, week 8 water only works for me. Also recharge is full of molasses and really helps your plants to uptake what they need
I use molasses when brewing teas. I can't imagine how people pay $40 for a "proprietary blend" of sugar water. You'd be better off giving your plants coconut water!

No. Sugar feeds the microbes. Plants make their own sugars. The root exudates contain these sugars to feed the rhizosphere life.

Excellent. I've used blackstrap molasses. Right at the beginning of flower. Usually after a top feed. There's no point in increasing microbe activity and numbers.. if there not enough food to sustain the bloom of microbe growth. The idea is.. more nutrients, more microbes, and to get the microbes to bloom in number, increase the soil breakdown and nutrient up take. This is why I opted to use it right at the beginning of flowering.. when the plant could benefit from increased nutrition, and boost growth and sweeten that crop ( potentially). However.. that's it. Everything else I do.. I'm using organic techniques mentioned already in the video. I haven't done compost teas yet.. but my compost bin is active and I hope to get there.

At last I've found a use for the tons of extra figs I have every year. Should make a good tea. I live on an island in the Mediterranean that has poor soil, and very little of that. All the plants here could use a good tonic. Thanks.
The Wholesome Mollasses is good because it has the Potassium, Calcium, and Magnesium along with the carbohydrates.
