The care package with Tweet and Sparky’s feathers was heart warming-something people might think as crazy but something I would definitely do. Lots of love and hugs

Catching up, slowly, on all the wonderful I missed while celebrating my 30th in the Caribbean. Have to say, saving Tweet and Sparky's feathers is just the sort of thing I would have done, especially sending them to my son. I enjoy finding my chickens feathers, and the wild ones, as well. Thanks for making me smile. You are the best.

You are right about the continual decluttering, it does get easier with time and repeating it means you know exactly what you have! Starting is the hardest part but once you get going it’s very satisfying! Thank you again for a great video!!! Right off to look through the kitchen “all sorts” drawer!!! Xx

I am so enjoying your videos and have begun to watch content from the past. Tonight my family has interrupted this one three times! I informed them that this was my pamper treat for the day and asked to be left alone for 12 minutes. "Oh," said my husband, "are you visiting your friend in Denmark? Sorry love, just let me know when the two of you have finished." 😂🤣 You really do make my day, dear Diane!

My husband has hoarding tendencies and really procrastinates, and I've been decluttering his bureau drawers one at a time. There were 2 newspapers from 2004 stashed in there with piles of equally old paperwork. How does one motivate a spouse to get on board with the FlyLady system? BTW, it was wonderful to wake up this morning to a shining kitchen sink! Thank you for teaching me these routines to structure my day. I suffer from a chronic pain issue and the routines have really helped me keep my house clean without exhausting myself.

You give me so much motivation with every video! It's evening here for me but I'm itching to go declutter one of my drawer in the kitchen. I loved the story about your son. You are so thoughtful and kind. I really enjoy your video's on your traditions in Denmark, especially the Christmas ones! I also love when you cook. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas to cook. I decluttered down to 1 of each item in my utensil drawer after being in an "extended stay" hotel. I was inspired because there were exactly 4 of each plate, fork, etc. and one of each spatula, cooking spoon, etc. Now I can see everything in my utensil drawer and reach it so easy. I also found that every time I declutter my bits and bobs drawer, it becomes easier. I can see everything in that drawer, too! These little things help my happiness quota!

I have adopted your laundry method of hanging many items even though we have a dryer that we use daily. Ironing can be very therapeutic! I love your new white blouse😊I've found that keeping just the amount of dishes that our family uses on a daily basis and washing a load in the dishwasher every day keeps us accountable! I have similar "bits & bobs." TYPE1 creative impulses to bring instant JoY?! Must be😉 I'm all for bringing the flowers along with you wherever you go. I'd love to have the single car mentality. Average here is one per family member and teens are so excited to have their own.
Quick IKEA story: We live 3.5 driving hours away from an IKEA so a sweet lady has started up her own IKEA delivery service where she collects monthly orders from people in the city where we live.
She drives to IKEA once per month and then returns and delivers all orders by herself, charging a 3$ to 15$ delivery fee. This is reasonable, as the fuel cost would be at least that much for a 6 plus hour round trip. Hmmm I am thinking about a tulip🌷🌷 order now😁

Yesterday I decluttered my tupperware cabinet. I have the same set from ikea plus a lot of jars. I really believed I had twice as many lids as boxes, but when i had organized it I found that there was only two lids without a box! They went into plastic recycling and the whole cabinet looks so much happier now. Today I'm going to look under the sink, organize and declutter my cleaning products, and give it a good wipe down. I also really need to go to the dry cleaners and do a bit of shopping. Happy Thursday!

You do look a picture, I must say. Thank you Diane, this is a wonderful help to me as I hit a wall with my decluttering. The sudden passing of a very beloved, compassionate friend and the shock and denial involved have me spinning. I hope I can borrow your "Get Out Of Jail" cards for the times I have missed hitting my goal? Yesterday when you gave us that idea on the video, I can't tell you how much I appreciated it, but could not bring myself to write a comment. I just LOVE tulips, myself! Those are a lovely mixed bunch! 🥰 | I have started watching that Marie Kondo Netflix special, my feelings are mixed. I think she is lovely, though. I wish the translations of what she says were more complete. I have just enough Japanese to shake my head at how much they are omitting or altering. Why so much localization? (An ongoing pet peeve of mine.) I’ve done much of what she says since the early 2000’s, myself, having worked it out with no direction. (e.g. folding. Thanking and releasing things.) But, I think it may be time to hold a Konmari-style Clothing Matsuri for myself in the next month. 🤔 Previously, it would not have worked/was not needed, but now it is looking to be a good time for it.

Its_Gretchen For_Real I used to have Teddy bear hamsters, which had wonderful personalities and were quite intelligent. One of them even knew when someone came in the back door and would stand upright to watch to see who came in. I had a wonderful sweet rabbit, but rabbits poop everywhere, so never again. I had gerbils, but I don't like them as much as Teddy bear hamsters.

Teacher snot..funny but I think you should call it teacher boogers. Sending Tweet and Sparkie's feathers is so sweet, sounds like something my mother would do and I think she's a type 1. I'm going to get her to read "It's Just My Type" after I finish my second hand copy (aren't you proud I didn't buy it new). I know I'm a type 2 and I want her to figure out her type but I'm afraid if she watches the videos she'll pick 3..because of the colors. She is so not a 3!

I found around 9 baby spoons in a cutlery drawer in my kitchen. I thought to myself "what am I doing " ! 1 the youngest grandchild is 3 years old . 2 we haven't looked after the grandchildren for the last 5 years because of my husband's illness and 3 even if a friend with a baby visited I wouldn't need 9 baby spoons and mums would usually bring their own sterilized feeding equipment. What is worse we moved around 4 years ago, I brought these spoons with us ,when the youngest grandchild was 6 years old. Shocking! I don't think I ever kept 9 baby spoons for my own babies at any one time. For the last 4 years they had sat doing nothing but taking up space in the second cutlery drawer. AND WHY DO I NEED 2 CUTLERY DRAWERS. They are now out of my house. This has been a bit of a wake up call. Another confession I have to make is l have a large carrier bag of disposable cutlery lurking in another kitchen cabinet. Seriously! The biggest garden party I have had in the last 10 years was for around 12 people and I probably used proper cutlery.
No more of this nonsense though. I am proud to say that in the last month I have decluttered two wardrobes and a large bedroom stand with 5 drawers. I folded the clothes Kon Mari style in them. I have also reclaimed 2 drawers in my kitchen and decluttered some of my books and paperwork .Bed linen is one of the next things on my list. I bet I can find at least 1 pair of sheets that will be 40 years old for a single bed. We will see. At least the linen for my bed are no older than 18 months old as it's the first time I,ve had a kingsize bed here in Wales.
Have a great weekend and thanks for the video. Love from Margaret in Wales

    • @DianeinDenmark

Those bed linens really multiply when left at the back of a cupboard, don't they?! 😄
