so i tried all of this and I dont know if anything has changed with the plug in versions since this video posted a year ago but I can get video to teams fine from OBS with the NDI webcam but audio seems to be spotty.. and drops completely Ive taken off noise supression and auto volume and anything else that might trigger it automatically to cut out.. any ideas with the issue might be? Audio in obs is fine and monitors fine but going to teams it works for a few moments then nothing
Can you please make this also for mac ? thnx
We use teams at work and I noticed my webcam was mirrored just like in the video. They do that to help us not getting confused for things such as raising the right hand but seeing your hand raising in the opposite side of the screen, etc.
But within Teams you can turn the mirrored camera on/off.
Cool. You didn’t use to be able to.
WOW! Thank you so much!!! You are the only one that makes this video! It works perfect! THANK YOU (I subscribed)❤❤❤❤❤❤
This video was an excellent find. so basically synced audio with video. Fantastic.
This tutorial worked for my Azure Virtual Desktop. I use AVD for my day job. In my personal computer I use OBS and in the AVD I can select NDI Webcam as a source. Awesome job.
I know why there are so much ppl who dont subscribe to you, they think you are chinge or to strange when you make these tutorials and they dont watch more to understeand, this was the same thing to me too but now i realy like your content even i was not do anything from the tutorials what i was watch an your chanalle, kkep up the good work Michael =)))
Is there any way to zoom in on your screen while live streeming on OBS?
Yes. ruclips.net/video/tqryAZCVMAg/видео.html
@Michael Feyrer Jr. That video looks like zooming in on a video that you upload. Is it the same for live streaming? I must have missed that part.
@Michael Feyrer Jr. A very well-known RUclipsr stated you can not use OBS for live streaming and zoom in to the video.
great video, although just by clicking on Start virtual camera, you can have the OBS stream on any app like zoom, meets, teams.
Another awesome video..❤️
Thanks
Thank you for your fruitful video. It is an excellent solution for Teams free edition that we do not have access to NDI activation.
hey i have been using your tips and tricks and rickrolling my class XD
yesterday I used a virtual background and it looked like my twin sat next to me X-D
it was fun... thanks a lot :)
Awesome! Glad to help.
Whyyyy whyyyy I just know about this!. As an educator this will help make my online teaching and any presentation I will be doing more interesting. It is late but thank you for this. I Love it
Glad to help.
Completely misunderstood the title. I was looking for easier solutions to stream and display the video of my guests on obs when using chat apps. It seems virtual cams are the most hassle-free usage in communication apps. Thanks for your content.
I will be doing an updated guest video soon using a cool app that’s really easy. :-)
Thank you allot,
this helped my Teacher
Awesome. Glad to help.
Does this only work for teams or could you use this for any other program zoom, Google meet etc.
It works. Just select the camera as obs virtual camera and it will run.
Yes ndi will work in them all. You could use the virtual camera and add your mic directly. But be prepared for audio sync issues.
Hello! Do I need the plugin if I’m only using cameras for a podcast show?
So awesome. I have been struggling for ages to use OBS as my main platform for bringing in different audio sources and 'triggering' them, for example when changing from one scene to another. Amazing.
Wondering, would this same functionality be available with Streamlabs OBS?
Yep
@@MichaelFeyrerJr thanks for your response, i got stuck when you went to ndi tools in obs,i dont see that type of menu option in slobs..any suggestions?
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I figured out what the issue was for not seeing NDI tools. I have everything running. The only thing Im not getting is the "LINE: Newtek NDI audio" option to show up in teams. Im running an Elgato Wav3, any idea why im not seeing this as an option? should I just select the mic itself as the source or am i missing something..? any help is appreciated!
I've followed this step by step but I'm having audio issues. Sometimes the desktop audio will go to Teams and sometimes it won't. I have desktop audio reading in OBS, it just does not make it to Teams. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I'm having the same issue now. Are you still having this issue or did you find a fix? Thanks
@garycreswell5236 I was able to get something to work, but I don't recall now. It was for a one off work event that was 8 or more months ago now. Sorry I can't help any.
@@goneturbodad74 no problem. Thank you for getting back to me. Much appreciated 🙂👍
Great work, as a subscriber, I was wondering if you are going to do a follow up for NDI Tools 5 and the Web Input not showing the Main Out put in the system tray at bottom of the screen. Now it just shows "Remote Connection One." I'm surprised their was not a Runtime 5 released.
I teach and make tutorials with OBS. I never got NDI to work, but I’m going to try again on a break and fix some steps. Thanks for making this video!
Glad to help
Hey bud, is there a way to record 2 seprate video files? Bascially I work for a tv show and the producer want to interview people in teams but ideally be able to record each video seprately so we can use the main interviewee with out any other people
This worked for a while but no longer. Strangely even though NDI still shows in the Tools menu of OBS, its output is not showing in the NDI webcam input app. (I made sure NDI and OBS are getting through the firewall.) Any suggestions?
Michael, wouldn't be easier to use virtual cable and the virtual webcam? Awesome content as always
Virtual cable like voicemeeter is confusing to a lot of people and there are sync issues involved. Ndi is all one package. Thanks.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Oh I see. It is indeed confusing. Thanks for the reply and keep making this awesome content that has saved me many times. Cheers from Brazil!
I use OBS with the virtual camera multiple times a week in teams. This NDI aproach seems a bit more complicated than it has to be.
How do you deal with audio latency and the noise cancelling in Teams? I have tried either using a headset or using the mic directly in Teams. The former means using a headset and the latter means lip-sync issues.
I solve the sync issue by using ndi for video and audio. The noise cancellation there is no solution for currently in obs. Headphones are the best solution at this point. Small ear buds work ok. Tv people have been doing it since time began. It is a pain though.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Thanks. I appreciate the reply.
Fantastic tutorial again, Michael!
I've been struggling with the growing audio delay when using Virtual Cable as the audio input in Zoom.
It seems to be capture card dependant... Some of my USB capture cards don't create this issue.
Quick question:
Would it be possible to broadcast our course on both MS Teams (using NDI tools) and Zoom (using OBS virtuel camera and audio virtual cable) at the same time?
Thank you for sharing ! It help me a lot !
Great work pal. Your videos are the only thing I use for obs stuff...
Thanks for the content...
Is any possibility to link logitech mevo start multi camera with obs...
Probably.
I love this posting, very well explain but...
Doing this, you will have the OBS output as the camera within the Teams. Some people might not realize that the presenter is PRESENTING the content via the webcam right?
Is there a way to "SHARE" the OBS output via the "SHARE" button/method?
When you share content on the majority of collaborative tools, automatically shows the content in full screen.
I hope you got my question,,,
NDI is better then virtualcam/virtual cable?
Thanks michael!!
Glad to help Dave!
Very Intresting....cool Stuff..thank you so mach for this Information. ;-)
Thanks!
I'm curious why not just use the OBS Virtual Camera?
Virtual camera does not vary audio. So when you use your microphone directly in teams them here will likely be audio sync issues.
I did this and now cannot record in OBS. Meaning, I use OBS for recordings and for team meetings. But after doing these steps I cannot record any longer? Please help?
Thank you!
Greate!! Thank u👍
Thanks for the content. Can I use the same setting in Google Meet?
Yes
My obs studios display capture sometimes freezes after hours of recording, do you know any way to fix it?
Thank you
From Tripoli Libya
I tried to remove all the new NDI stuff, but OBS keeps going on with the error message. Even reinstalling OBS doesn't work. The Error message is a stayer. From now on, OBS is corrupt. It's impossible to fix it. 😞😞😞
Hi, I would like to know if is possible to do it on Zoom or MEET. Thanks for your material I learn a lot!
Yes. Same process. I have videos for it. :-)
Hey love from India
Thanks
Great video! But how does it work if I have multiple cameras? Today I am using virtuel cam in OBS.
It doesn't seem to work with MAC OS. I'm using 16" M1 Max.
NDI is not showing up on the tools menu, any tips on what to do?
will be setting up an Teams meeting with OBS soon.. hope its as painless as zoom.
Hi Michael. Love the Channel. I've installed both apps and rebooted, but don't see tool-NDI. (NDI not showing up on tools menu in OBS).
Solved; uninstalled everything obs and reinstalled all to same drive. Works as you said. Thank you!
Great 👍
Where’s the video for multiple caneras?
OBS is not listed in my Tools menu, why is that?
Thank you so much
Hi Michael, Your content is awesome as usual and you nailed it once again. I was looking exctly for this. I was using animated lower third plugin and it is broken after i updated OBS to 27.3 ver. Now my question is if it is safe to use any kind of plugin in OBS or use it in its bare bone structure? Please advise... Thanks
I use lots of plugins. :-) but since they are all written by 3rd parties this can happen from time to time. The nice thing is you can just roll back your obs version until the plug-in is updated. I am gonna take a look at it this week and see if there is a workaround.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Again you proved you are awesome by replying back to your viewer ASAP...
Awesomeness!
Plz teach Streaming to multiple computers in LAN. I want to stream my PPT to my students in comp. lab which has 20 computers.
careful with the new update of OBS it is freezing up on a lot of ppl where you can't even open task manager and have to hard reboot your pc. actually happened to me while playing a game, but did not happen when i did a just chatting stream. so i reinstalled the old version for now. I was told that at the end of the month certain docks in the current version will not work anymore with twitch unless you upgrade, has to do with new api coding on twitch server i guess. hopefully obs can fix this problem quick.
I haven’t used the update yet. I was gonna take a look in the next few days.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr the put out a hotfix already. 27.2.1
You can disable mirror setting in teams and then obs and teams both will have notmal view, teams is enough smart now, I am using this trick
good
Why would we use this, rather than "Start Virtual Camera" on OBS?
Not saying it's not worth it, I'd just like to understand the value of the added steps.
Thanks!
So you can get audio from OBS
hey first viewer me
Thanks
video starts at @01:55
If I record this with Teams, quality is very poor...
A bit outdated, simply turn off the "Mirror my video" in the device settings in Teams.
Help me I’ve got a 365 home account and there’s NO ADMIN AREA….. WTF Microsoft 🙄
LOL this is too messy the better way to do is by using OBS virtual camera it can be used in every meeting u can probably think of,
between love your content
Virtual cable is great but some people experience sync issues.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr equally true and also depends on pc specs and internet status as it works fine for me :)
I live I form Egypt I Egyptian
I only wanted one piece of information so I didn’t need to subscribe
Too many ads. I didn't make it to the content. 😳👎
Sorry. Bills gotta get paid so I can keep making content. Unless you want to fund the channel?
Hey OBS Dead ?
Tons of youtubers and streamers use OBS, far from it
After 3 seconds I had to turn it off. Why all this screaming and yelling??
Watching this channel is waste of valuable time. No body is a friend on you tube. You tubers fool the unsuspection visiter on their channels to increase viewership and hence revenue through ads.
The only thing that is problematic here is Teams prioritizes the screenshare over the webcam stream. Check it yourself @Michael Feyer Jr. - Go to "Call Info" during the meeting and then see the resolution and bitrate of screen share vs resolution and bitrate of webcam stream. Two completely different stories.
Do you have an idea how to share the stream from OBS as a screen share instead of Virtual Camera?
@@LudwikCSiadlak yes there is a a way. You can set the preview Video from OBS in full screen and after that in MS Teams you can present the screen where the preview will be displayed. For this setup you will need more than one screen.
@@pabloobando5226 makes perfect sense, I will try it out, thanks!
But it got me thinking - if I'd share the "Windowed Preview" wouldn't it work with a single screen, though?
@@LudwikCSiadlak it would possibly work but it would be more convenient if you have a second screen.
