There's a theory that when Strange said the spell changed 6 times, and Peter said 5, Strange had actually done another one where he would also be exempt from forgetting Peter.

I have to argue about Osborn/Goblin. I think he had actually suppressed the Goblin until Ock asked him if he looked forward to being cured. The awkward response to that shows it. Goblin, in the subconscious, hears this and goes into defense mode and starts taking back over because he doesn’t want to be “cured”. But he hasn’t fully taken over until Peter starts getting the spider sense. “Norman’s on sabbatical” is basically saying “Norman isn’t here anymore, this is Goblin talking.” If Osborn was Goblin the whole time wouldn’t the sense be waving the red flag from the beginning. It sensed the change of body language and energy (and however else spider sense can predict things) and kicked in. I imagine it’s like when you just get the feeling “something’s wrong, something is wrong” but don’t know what. Hence the scene of him distractedly wandering around trying to figure out why his sense is tingling.
Also at the end when Norman is cured he recognizes Tom/Peter. It’s been established he usually doesn’t really remember what happens while he’s Goblin. So if he was Goblin the whole time he wouldn’t recognize him. Besides the scene in the alley where he argues with Goblin and smashes the helmet wouldn’t make sense if he was still Goblin the whole time.
I totally agree, from the first time I’ve seen the movie I knew it was actually Norman and that the goblin was dormant for a little while
Agreed I thought Norman was suppressing him cuz u know he was actually running from the costume and everything up until goblin took over completely

Norman wasn't pretending in the beginning. He legitimately got control back for a hot second, and tried to help. But Goblin's influence was too strong it eventually took over again. Until about the time when Doc Ock told Norman he'd have "no more darker half", that's when Goblin completely took over. That explains why Peter's tingle didn't go off until after that point. Goblin said "I saw through Norman's cowardly eyes". So Goblin was like in the Sunken Place from Get Out. He saw everything, but didn't have control yet.
I know the question everyone was asking for this movie. “Why didn’t Strange make a spell to make everyone forget what Mysterio said?” Well, the answer to that is “this movie wouldn’t exist if that happened.”

I absolutely love this MCU Spider-Man film! I was really surprised to see not only the handful of Spider-Verse villains in this film but also Toby-Spidey and Andrew-Spidey, which was insane! I also really enjoyed Willem Dafoe’s performance as the Green Goblin, he was amazing. Best 2021 movie theater experience in my honest opinion!

I loved this movie so much and knew Toby and Andrew Spiderman were going to be in this movie but I was still so excited when they walked out of those portals. Best MCU movie ever by far

I remember the audience screaming for Andrew and Tobey's appearence on opening night when I watched it for the first time it was very memorable 🥲
Watching this in theaters was an experience like nothing else. Literally my entire auditorium cheered like crazy for all the cameos and all the insane moments that happened. I’m so glad I was able to watch it Thursday of opening weekend cause I had to work Friday and Saturday at a movie theatre, so there would have been a high chance of spoilers. I did have one major moment spoiled for me and I’m super mad. Still wept like a baby, though. Absolutely love this movie.

It makes sense that they did not include any scenes for Toby and Andrew after they returned to their universes if they were gonna make more movies with them so it leaves the room empty for anything for them without having to follow a certain thing these scenes may have shown

This movie is my number one MCU film, it's everything I've ever wanted in a Spider-Man movie. I saw it the day it was released with my older brother, my theatre went crazy for both the Andrew and Tobey reveal, but no one screamed for Matt which killed me. I do have to say I wish they put more time between the two reveals because everyone was still recovering from Andrew's, and that meant that it was less of a reaction for Tobey. If MoM has everyone that I want like both versions of the X-Men characters, then it will certainly top NWH.
No way home was an insane movie theater experience! Literally the audience was sooo loud and I'm from Germany so usually you'll barely hear anything but a stray laugh or smth. It was really awesome to see everybody lose their shit

WHAT
I went to see this movie with a friend and her sister. When Green Goblin appeared, it was only after Peter was teleported that we could hear some kid in the back yell “It’s Green Goblin!” and then there was this big “No shit” vibe in the room 😂
That being said, the only responses I could sense when Andrew and Tobey appeared were slight giggles and nothing else, not even applauds. I am mad as hell! 😡

Watching this in the theaters is an experience I’m never gonna forget

I wish I could go back in time and watch this movie on theaters for the first time again, it was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had. The whole audience literally screaming and clapping...It was so fun and such a happy moment (even with all the crying that also happened).
My boyfriend and I went to see this in theaters and it just so happened there were a whole bunch of mostly kids in our theater seating, so it was funny how it was mostly us and the other adults/parents just geeking out the whole time. Seriously this movie is so good

If we got an Amazing Spider-Man 3 film, I would love it be Andrew's Spidey going dark and how he comes back from that, and then the very last shot of that movie being Andrew's Spidey getting pulled into Tom Holland's spiderman haha
Andrew Garfield is also my favorite actor to play Spider-Man.
A fun fact- my friend waitresses in New York and SAW Tobey signing/reading over the Marvel paperwork in the cafe she works in.

I saw an interview with Tom and he said that someone had a fake bum in their suite! Hmm, I wonder which one?? Lol this was a great movie, even though I knew most of the spoilers 🤷 great commentary as always!
This was one of the BEST MCU movies, it was so fun and I enjoyed every moment, except for the set-up. I totally understand why they had to set it up that way, so that we could get the awesome movie we did. My biggest problem is mostly that... this was like 95% Strange's fault. I mean, he's the adult... Instead of going and beginning the spell on a the whim of a teenager. ESPECIALLY when Peter started making changes from the beginning. He had to drop the spell once and start again anyway. Why not "hey, you know, why don't we go write down EXACTLY what you want done..."
BUT, also, it's kind of in Strange's character to not take the blame, even if he did have a hand in it. It's one of his major flaws in his own movies, his arrogance. So, while it's annoying that he puts that blame squarely on Peter (who is just a kid, and internalizes that blame), it totally makes sense that his character would do that.
A long winded way of saying, Dr. Strange is annoying, but I love him, and Spider-Man will always be the best, and I love him even more.
I actually don't think Osborne was evil the entire time. In fact I remember thinking he turned back to goblin when doc Oc is talking to him about being cured and he has his back turned the pitch of Osborne voice changes a little and i went "uh oh i think he just switched"

This 👏🏻 movie 👏🏻 is 👏🏻 phenomenal!!!
It has the perfect blend of nostalgia while still introducing new concepts and theories into the MCU- theories that I have spent weeks trying to untangle before Multiverse of Madness- It is SO well balanced!
There are so many sequels/remakes nowadays that are made for “the new generation” and yet they try so hard to please the “original fans”- relying far too heavily on their predecessors for everything- that it feels like only the most hardcore fans would enjoy it.... And even then it still feels like they’re overdoing it when the movie becomes predictable and repetitive.
But No Way Home wasn’t like that AT ALL!
I usually lower my expectations before watching a new Marvel movie, so even if it isn’t one of their best, it’s still a hundred times better than most of the other movies that came out over the last five years 🙄

But I was BLOWN AWAY by this movie! I’ve watched it six times now and my reaction is always as amazing as the first time! It’s definitely one of my top five favourite Marvel movies and my favourite Spiderman!
I think it’s incredible that Marvel managed to integrate all the callbacks, cameos, and one liners without it ever feeling forced or obnoxious! It was directed with such a natural flow and it made the movie so much more enjoyable to watch without the feeling of being constantly interrupted- Like, as I mentioned before, in some sequels it almost feels like the director wants you to be pulled out of the movie, because they want you to acknowledge what they did, like: “huhhahhhhh! That’s the meme! That’s the line from the second movie! That’s the gif from the third movie! That’s also a reference to the first movie! Hey, good job! Good directing. 10/10.”
.....Which is admittedly what I was like during my fifth watch through, still fangirling. But I was so drawn in my first time watching that a lot of the references went right over my head 😄
I’ve loved rewatching this movie and picking up things I didn’t notice before!

This wouldn’t be possible without the previous Spiderman movies and I love the way No Way Home honours the previous films, because I WILL defend Tobey and Andrew’s spidermen, they are AWESOME! And this movie gives them all the respect they deserve!!! It is beautiful, subtle and clever! SO well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🕸🕷🕷🕷

Norman Osborn / Green Goblin was not evil the whole time acting evil….he has alternate personality disorder.
What's scary is not knowing when he shifted back. I don't think there was a tell, unless maybe it tracks to the point where Peter's spidey sense started going off.

Somehow you failed to understand the character of Norman Osborn. The Goblin is so much a separate entity that the Spider sense could tell when the change happened
So when the sky starts to crack not only do you see scorpion you can also point out rhino, craven the hunter, black cat, Superior spider man, either spider Gwen/miles morales, a variant of Hawkeye and iron man, and madame Webb

Just making an observation that maybe can answer your question: In some comic book versions, Doc Ock kinda also had a resistance enhancement after the accident that made the mechanical arms to be fused to him. I had this impression in the Spider Man 2, besides Sam Raimi never directly telling it, but, it's almost impossible that Otto body/strength wasn't affected by the tritium, considering that it's tecnically radiation

The figures in the cracks I believe were Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, Rhino (like comic version Rhino), Black Cat and Madame Web, the other two are hard to pinpoint; the one next to Kraven could be Spider Slayer but it could also be Superior Spider-Man (Dr. Octopus in Peter's body), there was one who was supposed to be Mysterio too

I Think both Harry Osborn's were with scorpion in the purple cracks sense they were also important villians in some of the other movies. I also think some of the comic villians that we don't see onscreen is there too.
Idk i think up to a certain point, Osborne was genuinely not faking (at the beginning he's arguing with himself) but green goblin takes back over at some undetermined moment
Willem Dafoe went to the school i graduated from!! He was only there for like a year before he started getting roles, but STILL!!

Slightly more obscure trivia... I dunno if there's another source for the elf thing but there was a video game released after the first Tobey Maguire Spiderman and I remember one of his lines ran roughly, "What are you supposed to be, the evil elf?" when he first saw Gobby.
Dr. Strange acts like it was Spider-Man's fault, but he's a doctor he should know how to warn his patients of the possible consequences.

Honestly, I'm a fan of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as well. Yeah, there is some bad stuff in it, but it still remains one of the most gorgeous comic book movies of all time and had the guts to kill off one of the best love interests of any superhero movie
