Ahhhhh it's so amazing you're finally back! your absence was missed heavily TT
OMG WELCOME BACK!!!!!!
I was so worried and kept checking RUclips if your account was back on.
Glad to have you back in the game 👁👄👁
I love how the soup was so bad it made remy gag when rats dont have a gag reflex xD
Me too. I love his eyes at this moment.
@@a.g.demada5263 such s good reaction image
@@itsturniptime3699 yes 😂
i mean rats also don’t cook but here the movie is lolll but i get your point
How I feel when my mom cook with Green bell peppers. They belong with Beef!
i still like the fan theory that the old lady in the beginning is actually Ego's mother so Remy learned the critics' childhood favorite dish to impress him.
Makes sense since she's always watching the cooking channel
Waiter: ...and what would you like sir?
Ego: *🎶Come on, hit me with your best shot, Come on, Fire Awaaaay🎶*
Plz. I need this now.
The chef consultant for this movie was Thomas Keller. So just know that all the tips Colette teaches linguini are actually legit advice.
Keller also makes a cameo as the guy asking what the chef has that's new.
Keller was on a Los Angeles local program that year, demonstrating how to cook the ratatouille dish featured in the film. Looked seriously yummy.
You know how you can tell the animation is good? It literally makes the food look so tasty you want to eat it.
FACTS
I just love the atmosphere in the movie (except for the sewers ofc). It's so cozy and aesthetically pleasing :)
As for the shadow of Doug, it's an easter egg! Plenty of Disney and Pixar movies have them :)
Did you notice Folamour's cameo ?
I just realized his office could be shaped like a coffin because when you are a food critic you have the chance to easily kill an entire restaurant's career.
Exactly
When you're a good well respected critic***
Nobody cares about the opinion of a random critic
6:15 my brother told me this fun fact yesterday: rat’s don’t vomit. Wich means that lingiuni’s soup was so discussting it made remi do something naturally imposible.
One of if not my favorite Disney Pixar movie of all time. Such a satisfying movie aesthetically and plot wise
Tbh if I could live in PARIS and have THAT VIEW, I’d be more than happy with a one room apartment XDD
We talked about some scenes in my class and how you know the animators and writers were true g's when they called the first Gusteau hallucination an 'illustration' instead of a drawing or picture like many others would.
I’m gonna write this before watching but this is one of my favorite movies. Idk what it is but the food making scenes with music is just so good, so relaxing and soothing. Comfort movie defintirly
About the whole colors swirling in the background whenever Remy mixes favors together:
I also thought it was really creative back when this movie first came out, and all these years later, I still think it holds up just as well. The people at Pixar are artistic masters.
I love how this movie is supposed to take place in France, but everyone has guns somehow. FYI americans: Europeans usually don't just have shotguns and revolvers lying around lol
i was in love with this movie in the past, thank you for making me remember this masterpiece
Um. Did we know he could sing? Dude, beautiful voice!
So glad to have you back and happy after all that mess, I was keeping you in my mind and fingers crossed about it all :)
Linguini is voiced by Lou Romano. Chef Gustavo Gusteau is voiced by Brad Garrett. Skinner is Ian Holm. Anton Ego is voiced by Pete O'Toole
the title, so true.
Ratatouille is not just the name of a dish. It literally means, "To stir things up."
That's actually "ratouiller" or "tatouiller" but the name of the dish does relate to those words
Love this movie. We'll be rewatching it when we study France in homeschool this year.
I missed your commentary. You're the funniest movie reactor I've watched. Love it.
How's a going, my dude?
I'm glad you're doing this one!😍
I have a recommendation: Spies in Disguise!🙂
It's the perfect combination of happiness and grief with a dash of friendship!🥺
Stay cool and keep making people laugh with that infectious grin of yours!😁
This is one of my favorite pixar movie! I always want to cook after watching this. Im glad you could get a video out so soon! Glad you got your account back!
This and mulan- tied for my fav Disney movie, as far as your channel goes, “I’ll be returning, hungry for more”
I love this comment so much
@@MoviesinDepth not as much as your video for kung fu panda, you were right, oogway is the stuff
Please react to Hunchback of Notre Dame!!
when i was little i loved this movie but i found the scene where the dad rat showed Remy all the rat traps terrifying
That scene just left me with questions
Does the store purely sell traps/get rid of pests? Are those rats from their store or did they trap them in another location then bring them to the store and hang them up? How long do they hang them up for? Many questions 😂
This commentary *MUAH* PERFECTION!!!!
Directed by Andrew Stanton starring Lou Romano as Linguini, a garbage boy who is a terrible chef but gets assistance from a rat that is much better. He gets trained by Jennine Garofalo and his imaginary chef Gustavo Gusteau voiced by Brad Garrett. Remy the Rat is voiced by Patton Oswald. The villain Chef Skinner is voiced by Ian Holm
2:47 I freaking love these tik-toks 🤣❤
Just a small nit-pick. Although Disney acquired Pixar in 2006 and this movie came out in 2007, the creative team at Pixar is 100% responsible for the beauty of this film, and to this day Pixar retains its artistic independence from Disney. So please call this a Pixar film. Not a Disney film.
No one cares. Nobody calls it a Disney film anyway.
@@seiya.power.awesome.inspire If you watched the video you would see that the speaker does indeed call it a Disney film. It is a Pixar film. No one from Disney had any creative roll in the making of this film.
@@robertscott1949 Again I say, no one cares.
@@seiya.power.awesome.inspire I understand you don't care. But you do not speak for everyone.
@@robertscott1949 Everyone says it is a Disney/Pixar film.
I watch this movie and instantly am snacking the entire time
5:08-5:15 omg it does! i never thought of that
Only Pixar can make animals like rats look cute
Directed by Andrew Stanton starring Patton Oswald as Remy a rat with a taste for good food. Living in Paris he stows away into a restaurant where famed chef Gustavo Gusteau has died. Acting as Remy's Imaginary friend he helps mentor the rat. Introducing newcomer Linguini who is hired on as a garbage boy. Unfortunately he's a terrible cook. However Remy takes him under his wing...literally. Also featuring Chef Skinner who wants to emulate Gusteau's name as a new line of fastfood cuisine. Taking under Linguini's wing is Chef Collett, a female who he likes
Tried to show my little sister your videos the other day and for some reason couldn’t find them even with looking them up even though I’m subscribed 😬 so I have now turned on the bell 💁🏻♀️ hopefully that doesn’t happen again
This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood I love it
Same here... 👍👍😎😎
BRO YOU LOOK LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTER LMAO
at the beginning when he jumped through the window my body took a screenshot 😭
I’ve been to Paris, it’s not that dirty. I feel like people judge the city and it’s people so unfairly based on other people’s bad experiences. I live in Melbourne (Australia) and Paris is no dirtier than here. And the views ARE spectacular in Paris 😍
Same here, I visited back in the summer and it's just like any other metropolitan city.
I really love your reactions! I wanted to start watching youtube videos to cheer me up rn. I was planning on watching this video this morning but, I was busy. Right before I started watching this video, my mom told me that I tested positive for COVID. I was going to go on vacation tomorrow to see my family (my dad especially) because I havnt seen them in like a year so I'm really bummed out rn. My brother tested negative so we are going to retake the test but I still wont be able to go on vacation because we were only planning to go for a few days and we will be busy after that. I know I'm saying a lot but this actually really helped me feel better and this is the first video I watched since I got the news. I have been following you for a while and I just want to say your video really helped. This video might not seem like much to some people but it really was the highlight of my day so thank you!
I’m so happy I could be a light for your day.. I hope that you feel better soon and that you still might be able to go on vacation. ♥️
@@MoviesinDepth Thank you so much! I really do enjoy all of your videos and the time you take to make them!
Directed by Andrew Stanton starring Patton Oswald as Remy a flavor sensitive rat who sneaks into a restaurant that has seen better days especially when the head chef Gustavo Gusteau has died. While there he comes across a garbage boy Linguini voiced by Lou Romano. Together they work to make the restaurant better
5:09 i was about to say that.
As a French guy, here’s how I can sum up Paris: we do have amazing views and yes Paris is one of the cities to have the most delicious cuisines known worldwide. But are we modest about it? I can’t say we are. And the streets are filthy as hell! Seriously, PEOPLE NEED TO STOP LETTING THEIR DOGS TAKE A SH** EVERYWHERE!! That said, I still think you’d have a fun time sightseeing there
THAT is Paris in a nutshell. All you French people, don’t come at me lol 😂
The dog is direct reference, yep
Anton Ego is voiced by Pete O'Toole
This movie was composed by Michael Giacchino
Ok this is my personal favourite movie made by Pixar even now nothing has topped it.
Also i dont like when people call Ratatouille a Disney movie when technically it's Pixar. It doesnt matter really it just irks me personally
