      @@MototalkUSA quick question for you. when you installed the bump stop, what did you spray it with? I'm new at working on my own stuff so I'd love to know why. Also, any multipurpose grease will do, correct? I don't have anyone to help me install this, do you think I'll be able to get the springs installed by myself? or is this something I should have the dealership do if I don't have anyone helping me? and finally, may I ask if installing the foot peg scraper is necessary? Please know that I'm not questioning your steps at all, I'm just new at this and want to understand why it has to be done this way. Thank you!

      @@ThatThrottle no worries at all man, that's the purpose of these videos, to help out other fella bikers. I sprayed it with WD-40 to make the rubber slide in easier and I prefer that over grase, because the grease will stay on there and could soften the rubber over time, where as the WD-40 will just dry off. If you're pretty strong you might be able to get the springs on but keep in mind they're pretty hard. As for the scrapper, a longer one is needed because otherwise the new stand will touch the pavement first instead of the scrapper and to compensate for that, they supply a longer one.

    The springs are actually very easy, just pull them from behind the bike using a strap.

    That's a much longer feeler on foot peg. Will the center stand really touch down that much sooner???

    • @MototalkUSA
      @MototalkUSA  2 года назад +1

      Hello there, Haven't been able yet to scrape the stand but if it was to touch, the feeler on the foot peg will do it's job instead of the stand.

    Would you make a video of akrapovič exhaust sound on that Suzuki V-Strom 650? Is it just slip-on or it is full akrapovič?

    • @MototalkUSA
      @MototalkUSA  3 года назад +2

      Eventually I'll make a start up vid with the Akrapa, it's a full system.

      @@MototalkUSA Thanks for answering my question, sorry for my bad english. Can't decide which exhaust to put on my v-strom 650XT. I live in Slovenia and if you wanna to modify your bike, you also need homologation for that. I hope i will find something that is street legal and have good sound.

      @@nikolapetkovic3132 Most after market exhaust systems and mufflers that I've seen, state that they're for off road use only. It could be challenging finding one that is for street use but give it a try, you might find one.

    I heard you can’t use centerstand with Yoshimura exhaust. If that true, if so are there any modifications?

      That I don't know.. I have the Akrapovic on with no issues.

    What is the footpeg bolt for?

    • @MototalkUSA
      @MototalkUSA  2 года назад +1

      Because the center stand hangs lower now on the bike, the footpeg bolt will protect it from scraping if the bike is excessively leaned on a turn or dropped.
