Another great video , never seen one of those before , Thats what i like to see, the stuff you dont see a lot of , unique , and it still gets the job done. There is probably many more rare not so popular amps that do a good job. Keep doing what your doing , and Thanks for the videos.
@anotheruser5654 I sold and installed hundreds of targa amps in the 90s,we're actually pretty solid amps for the money ,their radios, and speakers not so much😂was cool to string several amps together to look like one huge amp....until they discolored differently 😂
I had an Urban Audioworks amp when I was in high school in ‘94. I opened the amp one day because I was curious on how they worked. It had Targa silkscreened on the circuit board! It was a great amp. I believe it was a 70X2 and I had it bridged on a single 12” Pioneer IMPP sub. It wasn’t super loud, but due to the huge sealed box, it played DEEP!!!
Targa! That was a company I clould not remember! Thank you. There were two other brands during the same era with very similar heatsinks and colors. I need to consult my old Buyer's Guides.
An honest 60 watts is good for regular speakers. I have a 40 watt X 4 Alpine running my highs and it sounds great. (50 watt at 2 ohm, the way I run it)
Another great test vid. Thanks man. I'd love to see more on the old school jensen, wofenhag or however it was spelled, and most of all bostwick, and sony amps especially. Take care. 😎👍👍
Yo BIG D! I recently acquired a couple of crown XLS 1002 amplifiers, these freaking things, rock! If you ever come across an opportunity to throw one on the dyno, I would really love to see how they perform
How much variation in sound quality is there from the cheapest to best amplifiers? It’s one of the hard to quantify tests. You should do a 10 worst amp video. Pyramid, radio shack, sparcomatic, etc.
Almost all crossovers in the early 90s were passive, I don't think anybody rated at 40hz because all output would be full range with a passive choke after the fact
@@wal2 I got hit for 2800 bucks by a scammer when I sold my video card two years ago. Any way to get a hold of him to try to buy some stuff off of him or is he still selling stuff what

Bigd what happened to legends ebay store? Did he get out of selling stuff
Still have a pair of Earthquake Magma 12s with passive radiators from the 90s and one is actually hooked up in a car and bumping to this day!
Keep up the great work, Big D.
Heat sink reminds me of older MTX amps I have,RT2400X and Thunder 4160. The MYX has a wider border at the top where the model names are.
Nice. Love me some old school. 95 was about two years before I got my first car and got into car audio. Time sure flies…

Glad to hear it plays well. Holds together well test wise! Thanks for the video Big D!!
You know you gotta risk the amp dyno testing that big ol BOSS amp out! 🤪
Power house was the precursor to the phd series earthquake amps like the shredder
Yes
Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for confirming!
Love the old school equipment. Keep up the good work
Reminds me of 90s targa
I like those square extruded aluminum heatsink enclosures.

@@91CavGT5 yea urban was 100% targa spinoff.same product with splashy artwork😂

I allways liked earthquake products they had some cool looking subwoofers thanks for sharing.
Earthquake Magmas best sub I have ever owned dual 3 ohm flat cone knockers. I think sundowns logo is based off earthquakes old logo

Earthquake is still around. Their HQ is about ten minutes from my house.
Test that Bossford Fosgate next

😎👍👍
Test the Punch 150! I had two of them in 89' XV1 OEQ PA1 Rockford was/is? some good stuff.
That's what I'm talking about big d, that punch 150 is a beast still wish I had mine 😢
Yo BIG D! I recently acquired a couple of crown XLS 1002 amplifiers, these freaking things, rock! If you ever come across an opportunity to throw one on the dyno, I would really love to see how they perform
Have you ever done any Coustic amps?
Did Earthquake make a private label amp for the flea market scene ?
Apparently they OEM’d many amps in the ‘90s. I had no idea
@@wal2they didnt make anything.. it was build house ..
I NEVER saw a Powerhouse before! So they did not just make ZED HiFonics copies! Rockford too! wow

Mid 80s into the 90s as a matter of fact, and you are absolutely correct
I believed I have seen these amplifiers once before, years ago.
Anilater was another amp that used earthquake boards
Cool!
What happened to legends ebay store
He took it down after he was hit by a few scammers who took him for thousands. eBay and PayPal were no help

Kinda reminds me of an OEM type amp with its limited options/labeling
Yes it sure looks like 90s Targa Amplifier.
Looks like a zed copy to me. These are great amps .easily modded.. to double that power..
Thanks.
Cool
Nice
Totally looks like a targa
Looks like a Targa 400
this one can be easily improved to 120w/ch @4ohm
