    Great video Ant. You really put that tent through its paces and it does go to show that you don't need to spend the earth to be comfortable in some challenging conditions! More of this stuff, please 🙏👍

      Hey Benny, thanks man! Yeah I've really enjoyed testing this out, I was am prepared to see it wrecked just so we all know how far it can be pushed. It's not a bad thing because I feel this is how we should want all our kit tested. It's in writing what it can take but I want to see it haha!
      Yeah definitely mate, I will never be able to afford the top of the range tents but I still want to be able to go on certain adventures that require kit that will withstand a beating.
      Thanks Benny, yeah I'm enjoying these types of camps, take my mind off stuff going in dude.

    I've used my Bobcat in all weather conditions over the past three years. You're right about it not being aerodynamic. If the wind changes you end up wth the outer wall convexing in and robbing what little space you have. I always use delta pegs but the design of the tent is what it is. The upsides are that you can sit up, it's very waterproof and pitches outer first.

    • @AntSurviveTheNight
      @AntSurviveTheNight  Год назад +1

      Hi James, good stuff mate, a veteran then pal. Yeah you have to be careful of how you pitch if it's windy. Having the guy rope that's on the back of the tent did help on this camp, it just kept it off mist of the night and I was glad the wind mainly stayed on the side of the tent thankfully. I was more than happy with how it performed. Yeah it's fab to be able to fully sit up in it. I call it the half Cloud Peak haha. Thanks mate, Ant 👍

What I do is push it through the material, pop it into one of the eye holes then over to the other side and arch the pole over so that your first side holds on the ground while you pop in the other side of the pole, hope that makes sense? It's a case of putting pressure on to the pole and bending it so it pop's in easy.

    Superb video Ant!👍
    But before you take the Bobcat out again do this modification which easily adds two extra guy lines at the rear:
    ruclips.net/video/q-v5io6spDo/видео.html
    The author has had the mod on his tent for around 18 months and still going strong.
    I also put some stick on velcro on the inner, by the centre guy, to keep the inner from sagging. Although it reduces the air gap so far that has not been a problem.

      Hi Stephen, thank you pal! I'll have a look into that mate, just a couple of adjustments and mods and yeah it can't be stopped. Good tip with the velcro too. Thanks mate

    I some times take the inside out and sleep with just the waterproof sheet
    I put my sleeping bag inside a bivi bag just in case it touches the waterproof sheet

      Yeah a good way of opening it up, you can also drop the inner while you sit especially if it’s raining, that gives you a little more movement before bed time
