Absolutely love your videos! With reference to wintering the van, we have it on good authority that putting Bounce tumble dryer sheets all around, which is what we do in our caravan, keeps the van smelling nice and keeps rodents out, they don't like the smell of them! We tried it last year and so far so good!

Hi you three, another great one, giving us new ideas. But what a show, great video music and photographs of the light show and the area. We will certainly be following in your footsteps another year. Your show always costs me money but me not being from Yorkshire has to do what I am told so it will be to the outdoor shop to shop for a new top for Derith and a new hat for me.
Our dog Jenny has just been cut so looks cold but will not wear a cover?
We are fortunate to have loads of space at home for the van which is parked outside our bedroom with security. The only thing we do differently is remove all the bedding and seats that we can from previous vermin problems, in another van. We did suffer from tree droppings last year so summer was TIMBER time, now awaiting log burner next year.
We have booked the Chunnel for April next year then France west to visit mates and x work colleagues then Benicassime then 80th DDay, so 8weeks if I can get my chemo in Spain administered. Keep up the great work. Have a Great Christmas and Happy New Year. Derek Derith and Jenny dog East Dorset.😀😀🐕
Hi there Poppy dislikes here coat intensely, thankfully as she charges around like a lunatic most of the time she doesn't seem to get cold. Sadly we aren't allowed in the deeds to keep our van at home, but hey ho we like where we are so we can manage. Your trip plans seem exciting, we like Benicassim nice place and the 80th DD events will very emotional. Hi Helen, Martin, we're a bit behind but been mega busy as usual. Love this Vlog as always, what fantastic lights at Luminate and Hunstanton is super, we loved Mr Bun bakery, all the cakes were massive in there but think you were in a different bakery we must try that next time. Thanks for showing Sandringham area, it's beautiful and we were so fortunate when we were there to visit the House when the the Queens 70th Jubilee special exhibition was there. Good morning , we love Sandringham and it's fairly close to us, so we often use it in winter especially. There's something there all year around though , the Flower Show is amazing in the summer and if you're there at Christmas the Wreath making classes, which includes After Noon Tea, is a very worthwhile venture. Really nicely produced vlog as always - your synchronising of photo montages with the music gets better and better. Illuminated looks superb, Sandringham a bit of a trek for us for a WE but next year, must be done. Looking forward to Spanish adventures…..

@@petermccall6880 - Hi Peter Happy New Year to you and yours. I'm not sure how helpful this will be but I plugged my 750w Cube and Helen's 500w Trek 50% charge into a fully charged 1000w Jackery. Both are now fully charged leaving 30% left in the powerbank which would suggest that it would significantly charge both bikes from flat but probably wouldn't fully charge both bikes unless you plugged the Powerbank into the solar panel while it was charging. Hope that makes sense Martin.
@@HelenandMartinsTreks That’s really useful Martin and thanks for taking the trouble. We’re same for consumption, Ruth has 500w Trek and I the 750 Cube. We’re off on a 10 week Euro trip in May and we are unlikely to do more than 2 consecutive nights without EHU so I’m thinking for this trip I’ll see how our 500W Jackery copes with just topping up, it is tempting to upgrade as there is a good £699 deal on the 1000 Pro at moment but we’ve never really used the 500 much hitherto but - never had the luxury of time hitherto either! Thanks so much, who knows we may bumpy into each other across the channel, or next time you’re here in the Lake District give us a shout.
Hi both and hope you’re well. On yet another rainy August day (Europe trip in May seems so long ago as we sit out our Schengen ban - definitely now have the bug for longer breaks). Revisited this Vlog as we’re hoping to do laminate this year. The site at Sandringham looked wonderfully quiet when you were there, do you remember the dates - presumably before school Christmas hols? Enjoyed the Wildflowers music too incidentally! We’ve never done Sandringham which we must rectify, we much prefer Camping and Caravan Club to Caravan and Motorhome Club sites enough so that we’re actually not renewing CAMC for a while as we rarely use it…. We’re really lucky being able to store the van on the drive and using it most weekends, we’ve no chance of 261 nights unfortunately, 90 is as much as we get which for full time working is pretty good going we think. Cheers both have a great weekend 😊
Hi guys we not allowed under the deeds to have the van at home sadly , but it’s just down the road so not to inconvenient. We’re still in both clubs and I don’t see that changing in the short term. We use quite a lot of the services offered by them both. Glad you’re enjoying your new van Merry Christmas H and M
@@HelenandMartinsTreks we’re going to rejoin but are splitting it for a few months as we don’t really use CAMC apart from the odd CL and that’s more in the summer so we thought we’d spare the pennies in December!

It's a drive , if you use a motorhome there is parking on the road on Cliff Parade. If you have a car there's quite a few options. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
