Hey I have already subscribed to this channel but I was not watching videos of this channel but now I realised how helpful their videos are after watching this video , it is very helpful and it also helps everyone to be productive ✨
Could you tell me how to use 'loaded' and 'comfortable' when describing people, BBC Learning English? Do I say: "Loaded/comfortable people create much carbon."?
Even though there isn't a Live Class tomorrow, there will be an episode of 6 Minute English tomorrow and another 6 Minute English and News Review episode next week, right, BBC Learning English?
Hi, we'll be publishing 6 Minute English as usual this week and next, but the News Review team will be having a well-earned break. The next episode of News Review will be on 3 January. If you can't wait till then, visit this link to see every episode that we've ever made: bit.ly/2K0Fdf0
VOCABULARY I've learnt from this programme - Well-off - very rich - Clean up their acts - improve their behaviors - Plundering - taking what doesn't belong to you Thank you very much for your useful and informative news review BBC Learning English
The BBC has taken the decision to close the app to simplify and improve its offer to its audiences. We are sorry if this is disappointing news. To find out more and to read about our new content plans for our website visit: www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/app
My husband’s best friend and his wife belong to the one percent and they fly to Europe for fun a few times a year. Just recently they went to Paris to join a food tour which sounded luxurious.
Thanks BBC.. It is necessary to clean up our acts when you desire to apply for a good university! Well- off people should help humanity to come up with plans to save the world and reduce plundering actions
The richest 1% includes many businessmen. Owing to them, we can live a comfortable life. Things like taking an airplane, eating at a restaurant and so on are parts of their business. Then I cannot blame the richest 1%.
There is someone who moves earth and heaven to achieve everything in some terrifying ways, such as plundering and stealing others' properties. They'd better clean up their acts before thinking about an ample life.
Last weekend i and my friends were gathered to the local restaurant for celebrating new car of my friend that bought it before the dinner had been reached us i suddunly drop the glass and my friend said to me CLEAN UP YOUR ACTS which was shame for that
Well-off humans must clean up their acts instead of plundering the environment and deprived people . Thanks BBC !!! Happy Christmas and an excellent New Year to all BBC Learning English staff and learners🎄🎆🎁
That is absolutely true! They live lavish life buy lambo, wear clothes just one time. that should be taxed and put the rules. To be honest, my carbon footprint is really really really really really low like a poor people live in the village though I have money I can buy a car go to restaurant everyday change clothes
Recapping it in an upside-down way, thanks to an anecdote, and of course a bit adjusted for the key words. I was having my daily coffee at my daily restaurant. There was the newspaper with titles about a strike. The owner, a senile lady, came and said to me "You know, you know me. I'll tell you. I, that lean towards left, am asking what the devil this mafia of workers that pretend to plunder the poor well-offs that give them jobs !;?.,:! They should clean up their acts instead of upsetting their poor employers!"
@@reglisse42 Hi, yes I see that, but it’s trying to make the bbc, go after the drug dealers in our society, driving around in their Range Rovers, with their big lipped girls, living way beyond their means. This would benefit licence fee payers, instead of talking about all these woke issues. The poor trans kid who was murdered, the amount of time spent on that, if he wasn’t trans, they wouldn’t have spent that much time, effort or licence fee payers money, on the matter!
By Bill Gates' logic, the riches also advocate the environmental protection the most. Therefore, their efforts offset the damages they created to the earth.
This episode of News Review must be the funniest yet!

We could say affluent meaning very rich as well. There are abundant words in English :)
The first one that come to my mind 'LEO'
The culprit told us that he had plundered everything but the jewellery box.
Everybody should want to be rich and not only survive

nick as a verb also means '' to get caught by the legal authorities such as police''.

You need to clean up your act
Very nice
I think well-off people should clean up their acts rather than plundering environment resources.
Thanks BBC.. It is necessary to clean up our acts when you desire to apply for a good university! Well- off people should help humanity to come up with plans to save the world and reduce plundering actions

If you want to become a well-off person, you better clean up your acts and have an elaborate financial plan.

Tha same happens whith the richest countries in relation to poorest ones.

Yes, this is something I realized recently. The better-off, the more damage we cause to the environment.
We might need to move to Mars.
we wish to be rich and wealthy if people get richer the world get worse because the population ruins universe
it was goog
I think Elon musk is an exception...
you need to clean up your acts in study and life to have changes to become a well off person in the future

Why not look at the drug dealers in our society!
Drug dealers is of course a very big problem but that’s not what we are talking about here
