Awesome video, such high production value! While it’s exciting to hear about all those potential features, there’s a such a vast distance between patent filing and actual manufacturing/availability. By the time Apple cars hit the roads, Tesla will be driven on Mars.
NIO has already been working on pretty much everything mentioned in this video. They also take the car as a living space approach and they have been working on tech like VR for quite a while now. Apple doesn't seem to bring anything new to the industry and it will be a bit too late when they release their complete product imo...
Every time I try to use Apple Maps I get frustrated and go back to Google… they have improved, I guess, but something about Apple Maps always make me miss the exit. (The 3D city views are pretty amazing tho!)

Apple puts a lot of time, money and effort in the development of their LiDAR technology. The picture you showed in your video of the white car is indeed ment for the development of an anonymous system (level 5 I believe). Yet they also gather advanced road data with the Apple Maps cars. Pretty interesting topic!
Will the Apple car include software that can increase/decrease my risk tolerance for out of the money calls bought with margin that expire in under 24 hours based on how fast I’m driving? If not then I’ll pass and wait until the Robinhood car comes out.

I struggle to believe that wireless charging would have acceptable efficiency for high power applications. I think some sort of automatically guided mechanically connected system is far more likely. Perhaps a robotic arm looks less scary than the Tesla snake. Aesthetics will be less important as cars will be able to self-drive themselves to charging stations, so there will be no need for user interaction with these systems.
I don’t see Lucid being the partner. Apple would need to crank vehicles out at scale. That’d be like apple turning to Consumer Cellular to make iPhones lol not really but you get my point!
