Around 4.2 million people are predicted to be living with type 2 diabetes in the UK, and an estimated 12.3 million people are at risk of type 2 diabetes. But lots of people still don't know what the condition is.
Type 2 diabetes is a serious, lifelong condition where the insulin your pancreas makes can't work properly, or your pancreas can’t make enough insulin. The symptoms of type 2 diabetes include feeling very tired, needing to wee a lot, feeling extremely thirsty, cuts and grazes healing slowly and getting infections like thrush.
If you’ve got any of these symptoms, see a doctor as soon as possible. For more information about type 2 diabetes check out our dedicated page: www.diabetes.org.uk/type-2-di...

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.
Anyone can get it. Is your son active? Does he eat well? is he over weight?
@@HornfellasType 1 is not the same as type 2. Not anyone can get type 1 diabetes. It’s an auto immune disease that has nothing to do with lifestyle.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in September 2022… after months of hard work I reversed my diabetes. I was in extreme denial but I reversed my problem and I feel amazing.
So did u stop or lessen sugar a lot? I'm 46, love chocolate and pretty sure I'm diabetic but I must change my health for my son, family and myself.

Hi @@JoeFramo-uw9fp thank you for your kind words, we are delighted to read that you have found our information beneficial 💙
I have fixed my parents type 2 diabetes just being on lockdown with them. 3 months and they are off all meds and in healthy ranges.
How?
@@Ho-mb2wb Easy. Although they weren't extremely overweight they were old and flabby and must had some internal fat - which is what causes type 2 - so I put them on a vegan diet, which has zero cholesterol and that reduced the amount of fat in the body causing the problems. Fixed their blood pressure too.
I've left now and they went back to eating their old diet so I expect they will need meds again soon.
@@neoepicurean3772 I see. It seems like a good plant-based diet is way better than insulin injections.
Made a video re fruits for diabetics
Please do not take these words as gospel.
While Neo Epicurean is perfectly entitled to his opinion and his story may be true, he’s just some rando on the internet claiming he can cure type 2 diabetes.
Please consult your doctors before trying any treatment, whether it be traditional medication or a more radical approach like veganism.
I’m type 2 and diagnosed 18months ago. I didn’t have any of the common symptoms at all. I have necrobiosis lipodicia diabeticum. That was my only sign I was a diabetic
This video gave me hope I was so down when I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes thinking I was on my way to dialysis and now I’m keeping my sugar below 120

We're glad you enjoyed the video, Maria 😊
Some things you can do when you have type 2 diabetes is to eat well and moving more so you can have a better life.
My doctors watched me become 30 kilos too heavy and did nothing until a blood test in 2019.
I had no symptoms and was cycling 50 to 100 miles a week until the flu laid me out
My diet was WFPB plus bread, cake and custard, and shamefully fruit juice.
Wham you're diabetic !
Prescription for Metformin and come back in 3 months.
Thankfully I went away and learned what diabetes actually is.
I lost the first 10 kilos in 3 months and was cured
It's as if the medical profession has decided that they can't prescribe weight loss.
Thanks to that on my medical record and white coat BP readings they have since tried to prescribe statins and BP treatment.
One size does not fit all.
Philosophically these precipitous diagnoses have kept me on my toes..
Thanks
Ideally, some indication as to why you've used 'key symbols' to represent insulin production WOULD have helped people to understand that insulin 'unlocks' the body's cells in order to allow glucose to enter from the bloodstream so that it can be utilised to produce energy.
@Tira Maski rani Sadly, no, that is NOT true. Reducing Carbs and Sugars from your diet will HELP to control Type 2 diabetes, but it will NOT cure it. You would, in fact, find it extremely difficult to remove all carbs and sugars from your diet.
@@robertgreene2621 I don't need to, sir. I was indicating that a key symbol had been used without an explanation as to why that might be. Not everyone has the understanding of how insulin acts as a 'key' to 'unlock' the body's cells so that glucose may enter.
@@micksmixxx I guess in addition to looking at the video…you could try listening to the commentary too…!! It’s pretty easy to understand…!
@@stun9771 I understand that, sir, the same as I understand how insulin is used in the body. Sadly, SOME people don't!
I have been diagnosed with type 2 3 yrs ago. I just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. In 4 days the doctors have struggled to decrease my sugar level which are around 350 to 480. :(

Many thanks for this excellent educational video. The patient is diagnosed if they have symptoms as well as a fasting blood glucose of >7, a random blood glucose level of >11 or if 2 hours post glucose tolerance test the level is >11. If there are no symptoms, the above needs to be repeated on at least two separate occasions for the diagnosis to be established.

How I can make this type of videos
I'm 33 years old and just found out I have type 2 diabetes.
Were you aware of it before like with early symptoms or you weren't aware at all?
How overweight are you?
I’ve tried it all since my diabetes type 2 began. First, I did the diets and I exercise. I gave up drinking. I took supplements. Even if these methods helped, my blood sugar would also cause me problems again and my diabetes never went away. When I tried the Deep Sleep Diabetes Remedy it was like everything suddenly clicked into place. Clearly, shallow sleep was the biggest cause of my unstable blood sugar. And I had no idea. I reversed my diabetes type 2, just like you said and I’m enjoying my new life eating the foods I want and not worrying about anything. Other people out there need to know this really works. If you have just been diagnosed with Type 2 then you have a very good chance of reversing it. I heard Michael Mosely claim that studies show that 87% of people can reverse the condition if they lose 12% of body weight. No I have no idea on your body weight, but if you're a bit on the flabby side then I would suggest trying to sort that out, as if your life depended on it, as it kinda does. Good luck, I hope you find a way to reverse it and stay healthy.

27 years old and got type 2! My dad has type 2 before i was born. So it was obvious. Because i am not fat. I eat so little sugar. Yet i got tyoe 2!!
Why does this video ignore the current evidence on saturated fat? Your last video focused on fat and insulin resistance - you have now made this video private so it can not be viewed ( in the last few months). Not only does saturated impact on beta cell function it also causes insulin resistance if consumed in large enough quantities.

What does it mean insulin not used properly? What makes it not used properly?
Hi there, thank you so much for your comment. In terms of Insulin not being used properly, this would be known as Insulin resistance. This is when the body may produce Insulin, however its effectiveness is limited. One reason for this can be diet and lifestyle. You can find out more here bit.ly/3PVjPax 💙
