Great video @the06crew Been wanted to do this on my 99 Silverado .. so I need the drive side switch right but what about the passenger side do I need a switch for that one as well so it could fold
great job ! i have a 2003 Silverado , have yall experienced when you are driving on the high way and the passenger side mirror is solid but the drivers side is bouncing like alot ! how can i fix that ? thanks
i have a 2004 silverado LS which means base, plastic mirrors (shown in my profile picture.) If i add the power folding mirror module, i won’t have to add anything to the mirror itself ? (hope this explains what i’m trying to say) thanks
You need DL3 mirrors. They have turn signal and power folding. Your truck most likely has DL8 mirrors since it's an LS model and not a WT. So you are going to need to replace your mirrors if you want them to power fold with the new switch
Most likely you don’t have the power fold switch on the one that doesn’t work find one on eBay with power fold that’s mostly what people run into when they say “they don’t fold”
Hey man, I have a 2000 gmc sierra do you know if I were to buy the power folding mirrors and the switch would that be all that I need to make it work? Thanks and nice video!
@sean.g4516 1999-2002 trucks are not plug and play whatsoever. You will need to rewire the entire mirror so it fits your plugs and run new wires for your turn signal. And for your power folding function you need to use a 2002 escalade power folding switch or make your own. They're 100% worth all the effort to make them work. I made some for my 99 I just saw a previous reply you made and the dealer wanting to charge you 200 to reprogram your bcm to add power folding is a huge scam. 99-02 never came with turn signal/power folding mirrors. Only the 2002 escalade had power folding but no turn signal. Turn signal got introduced in 2003 and to retrofit that in 99-02 trucks you need to tap in to your bcm for your turn signals and tap in to power and ground with a switch for your power folding
Nice vid also where did u get all uour blue lights and guages was that done yourself or did u order them with blue L.E.D.S . Already i have a 04 im working on and getting some mirrors and want to do all the gauges and air conditioner blue as well my steering wheel dont have buttons like yours but thats fine thanks for reply
My original cluster I did the lights by myself from regular to blue but the one in the video I ordered it from a website just so I could have a trans temp gauge.
I have a 2007 Silverado Classic- falls in the 03-07 model. I installed the exact switch and the system thinks the drivers door is ajar and keeps the interior lights on.
I did. Old switch fixes the glitches (door ajar, interior lights, lock acknowledgement lights, lower door light not working at all, left blinker lights on the mirror not working) but the old switch does not power in the mirrors. I ordered another switch from PartsGeek for a 2500HD and it works fine. The seller of the switch you linked, was responsive and agreed to send another, if I linked a credit card to the process to ensure I returned the original. The new one arrived from SwitchDoctor but I already have one working from PartsGeek so I will keep it as a spare. Sure is nice to have puddle lights, turn indicators, and power mirrors now! Feels like I moved up from the LS to the LT version. Now on the the double din radio.
Find one off of Facebook marketplace or eBay or even at a junkyard. The remanufactured ones on Amazon are janky sometimes. It needs to have that folding mirror picture on that button.
@@eduardonunez8562 I don't think the motor size matters, the BCM needs to be programmed by changing the RPO code to power folding mirrors feature (and the window switch needs be one that has the feature). Generally only the dealer will be able to reflash the new RPO code if the truck didn't already come with that code. Your tag in the glove box lists the original RPO codes. I think you need a DL3 code for power folding, paddle lights, heated mirrors... I have not had time to go to the dealer.
Some one wanted to charge me 180 plus parts to this exact same thing im glad i waited of i could give 10 👍 up i would thanx for the video & info bro
Thanks for the vid bro this whole time thought mine was broken & I didn’t know you were suppose to hit the center THEN left/right lol
lol no problem bro
Great video @the06crew

I need a switch like this but was wondering if there was one for an extended cab not a 4 door.?
It’s the same switch
I went and got a master switch off Amazon but I hooked my mirrors up but I couldn’t get the power fold to work?
I ordered the same mirrors but the pass side one looks wierd! Did yalls pass side mirror look wierd? When viewing it from different angles?
You guys are the facken shiet 🔥 ,, much appreciated

check if the nuts are tight on that mirror before anything.
Can the same procedure work for 07-13 models?
Depending on trim level and options

So all thats needed is the switches no aditional wiring?
Pretty much, make sure your mirrors have 2 plugs. A blue and a black one.
I have an 05 tahoe I want to do the same all I need is the the two fold mirrors and fold driver switch? No front passenger switch ?
No passenger switch yeah
Just found and picked up the mirrors fixing to order the a oem door switch from eBay thanks man 👍🏼
It all worked out thanks man🤜🏼🤛🏼

Según necesitas los interruptores
Que sean para esa función
Que se doblen

Will the signal lights work , with the non folding switches ,
Yes
If I do this swap adding them to a 2000 Silverado, would the switch have to be programmed for the power fold to work? @@The06crew

Did u have a problem with ur driver side mirror turn signal not working ?im having that problem
Yes, the BCM needs to be programmed for power folding mirrors. Do you also get the "Drivers door ajar message"?
I have a 02 yukon denali 6.0... wish this was as easy 😢😢😢

@@The06crew thanks bro I'll look into it and get me a set for my 04
Will this work for a Tahoe/ Yukon?
Yes
So i dont need no harness?
Nope

Try putting your old switch back in and see if that changes anything, sometimes the new switches online are janky.

Do this work in a v6

You helped nobody. You already had power mirrors. 🙄 We need to know how to put power mirrors on a non power vehicle. Duh.
