  • Over the past two years we've done a ton of work to improve this Frick Model 0 sawmill. This is video of how we fixed all the problems we found. We're not done finding problems, but we're certainly sawing some nice lumber!

    Hello Wayne: You guys have done a ton of maintenance on the mill and what a good job you have done. You always impress me with your knowledge and skills. So much knowledge in our generation that will be gone when we are. Keep up the good work. Terry at 76 yrs

    John at fricknjeep is my hero. He's always got a dozen different projects going, in addition to sawing wood. But then he's younger then I am by a couple of years.

      John's great. He's worked hard to try and teach us and keep us on track. We'd be sawing a lot of garbage if it wasn't for him.

      Clarence, Thanks for the note. I'll post a video of our dust drag. It's amazing how well it works. I didn't show it, but we also have a small leaf blower. Frankly, it's just a matter of getting the guys to all lend a hand at the end of our short day!

    do you know how old the mill is and did it come with that motor or was it steam powered

    • @WaynesWorldGarage
      @WaynesWorldGarage  Год назад +1

      Cedric, Great questions. Originally, we thought the mill was maybe 100 years old. But, since the entire mill is made of steel we now believe it might have been made in the 50's or even 60's. We have no indication it was ever run on steam. The boys over on the Eastern shore of Maryland at the Tuckahoe park run a steam powered Frick. It is very cool.
      Thanks for watching. Wayne
