me too also sad for Irish despite giggling a little about the fact he died in a OUTHOUSE but still irish was one of my favourites as for Seth i was weirded out at first but then i grew to like him. happy he got his treasure in the end

Also, It could just be a case of city renaming. Many of the colonial states had different names than they do today. That could be the case for New York and liberty city.
People hate how John died, but I think it's a bad-ass ending.He became a legendary gunslinger,bringing down powerful men, and defending his ranch.Red Dead Redemption 2 is gonna be breath taking.

I don't think legondary is the word for it... He was nothing that special but he had a heart which got him to the places after the prologue
CMD Syndrome he was a legend. Not a legendary gunslinger but just a Legend born out of Legend. He outlived his name. He created his own path after his life of being in the gang. He died protecting his family. That even in Mexico, where everyone called him gringo. He ended up being known as a Legend who brought peace and order to mexico for a very short time till Abraham ended up becoming the exact same as the previous president.
He only becomes legendary of you play that way. If you play him as a violent outlaw, out only for himself and his family, then he becomes a feared terrorist.

American Dream - Actually Jack was born in 1895 (source: the RDR wiki), so i'd say Jack lived till 1977 (that is, if he didn't die before hand), which he would be 83 years old. Also, depending on what month he died in in 1977, he could've possibly seen Elvis die on August 16th, the release of the first Star Wars movie on May 25th, or the founding of Apple on April 1st. But, this is just speculation, so he might've died before then or maybe he could've had one of those very rare instances were people lived to be over 100 years old, but that's very unlikely. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Landon's death is both heartwarming and tear jerking: It's sad because he was a decent guy, but it's also happy because he died peacefully, a luxury not many gunslingers can allow themselves to have, for theirs is a world where violent deaths are the norm.

RDR1 had better and more diverse characters that makes me cry I was playing RDR1 and I bought one of the newspapers and I found this stuff out tears came to my eyes because R* makes you feel for these characters and to see them die or retire Etc off screen is way more powerful than on screen like RDR2's deaths

They made the game not to please us too much. They wanted to invoke an emotional reaction out of us & portray a real wild west story no matter how emotionally taxing it may be. Which ultimately makes it feel realistic. GTA 5 Good ending is great but afterwards just feels 'meh'.

His mom started a spy agency and operated without the knowledge of the government and they were almost arrested for treason then became coke dealers then became private detectives in LA and Archer ended up getting shot and is currently in a coma.
archer wasn't in the final battle. there was a dude that looked similar to him in the final mission, but it wasn't him. that being said, archer is probably still alive. he was a cool guy tbh

Permanent No doubt about it. Anything that happened in the game spread from town to town like wildfire. Not to mention all the people at the small camps that you can sit at along the dirt roads that talk about the most recent events around New Austin.
and since John didn't go incognito in every city and helped everyone to get his informations on his ancient gang mates and that some people who knew about him probably read about his death, i'm pretty sure people learned about his death pretty quickly actually

Shaky was probably able to continue his smuggling business until either some guy kills him (maybe he finds a new partner who supplies with him with morphine but he overdoses) or the law actually takes over Thieves' Landing, though he could probably escape

I played it for the first time last year, and I was upset, but I didn't tear up, cause I already knew. After RDR2 came out, since youtubers like to post spoilers in their video titles, I found out Arthur dies. But for him, when I played, I actually almost cried.

johns death was brutal, he was killed by a man he helped with some missions, John was a married man with two children(Jack, and he had a deceased daughter) if I could bring back Lee from Telltales The Walking Dead, or John Marston I would bring John back. Yes, Lee was a good man, but Lee wasnt a father, though he had Clementine. Lee didnt have his family come back to their home after hearing gun shots to find him dead, and Lee was not brutally murdered by a whole group of people. If John didnt have a gun then we would have a even better reason to mourn John more then Lee, becuase if John was unnarmed it would be the same as like they always say in games "Shoot an unnarmed man, and youll regret it for the rest of your life."
so yah, I will forever mourn John. This video may not have been dedicated to him, and its not my place to choose on characters to bring back to life, but i just wanted to say that I will mourn John more then the rest of these people.

jack returns to Beecher's Hope and re-opens the ranch. He buys animals and supplies from Blackwater and builds some cabins. He hires people to work at his ranch. Jack Marston (1922) - Jack has become a well known, and respected rancher, throughout the state

Truly an incredibly game. One of them games that makes you emotionally attached to all the characters and leaves you wondering what happens to them in the aftermath of your playthrough. I'd call it "dishonored in another world"
I’m happy Marshal got what he wanted, one of my favorites characters along with Seth, Archer, MacDougal, Nastas, Shaky, Javier, and Landon.
Also, I did NOT expect MacDougals fate.

Now the Van der Linde gang can live together in heaven. Arthur can look for Lenny, Dutch can finish his grand plan, Hosea can tell stories around the campfire, John and Abigail will live in peace as everyone waits for Jack to earn his redemption. The ending of John is actually good because he will get to see the man who helped him get out (Arthur). Dutch will realize what he did to ruin the relationships with the people that he called family.

Jack was most likely drafted into WW1 and possibly died.
If rdr1 gets remastered maybe there will be a side quest for Jack called "old friend" about Sadie and Jack reuniting but over time Jack learns that Sadie is a bad person and eventually Sadie gets so bad the jack duels her, but then after he kills her he gets wanted. So it could set up rdr3 about Jack and possibly a new, lovable character that is also wanted and it's 1915, just after rdr1 and Jack and said character do a bunch of stuff, and for important missions there will be big choices that involve multiple answers to them, and you create a gang, and it has rdo type camp setup where you choose location of camp, and the location of camp can change mission timelines but ultimately you have to play all the missions but they can be in different order. The ending could be the gang turns on you have to run away. But ultimately you have to make a choice, sacrifice OTHER MAIN CHARACTER or JACK, or if you do everything in an exact order you get the SNEAK AWAY CAREFULLY ending, or S**CIDE where they both off themselves. If you sacrifice OTHER MAIN CHARACTER Jack will run away and start a new life in the run, but die in 1930 due to the government killing him whilst he's drunk. SACRIFICE JACK will make other main character run away and die in 1917 due to drinking himself to death. Run away ending includes stealing lots of money from the gang and paying off the government, then Jack gets a family and other main character becomes like uncle but actually useful. Jack will right Red dead and become famous and make lots of money. And die due to a heart attack in 1996. We hear about his movie made in 2005 the day John Marston stopped shooting, meaning we get the reason the guy in GTA 5 has his John shirt. And why we don't see much more references to rdr1. And he also would right a book about the gang in it's glory years but it didn't get a movie.
