i absolutely adore how after all these years, the cast members are still so passionate about this work of art and are still doing interviews, cons, and taking the time to attend events like this.
Same with GTA 5, it just seems rockstar tends to hire really passionate actor and actresses, I suppose working on a game for like what? 10+ years you’ll become super attached.
@IAmQuietWolf tbf that was a really a long time ago before people started to take performance capture in video games seriously and iirc back then they weren't unionised and their agents are the ones who got them bad deals. It's good to hear how they've turned it around and almost all the main actors who worked on GTA V and RDR2 are highly praising Rockstar for how much they loved working there.
This game literally saved my life. I was going through a nasty Divorce in 2018 when it came out. I had a dead end job and i was struggling mentally and physically. I was thinking about ending my life. My brother had gotten this game for me for christmas. I played it for hours and beat it. I decided to turn my life around. Went back to college, got a better job. Found someone who loves me and I strive everyday to live my life with high honor and help people.
God, I'll never get over this damn cast. Everyone is just so personable and charming and have so much fondness for their characters and the game as a whole even years later. They have so much pride for their work and it was just so sweet and wholesome to hear them talking about their characters with such love like Samantha going on about how much she adores Mary Beth and how happy it makes her to know that Mary Beth got to follow her dreams, or like Ben discussing the empathy he feels for Dutch as the world closed in on him and how his refusal to give up on his own misguided certainty ultimately led to him losing everything. It's just so neat to hear the actors themselves speak about their characters in the perspective in which they built them. And just in general, this was easily one of if not the best interviews I've seen of them! I was SO happy to see the faces of both large and small roles, they're all just so lovely. I felt so cozy watching it and had a big smile on my face the entire time. It was in such a nice setting, too, made it feel so much more relaxed and casual than the more typical interviews or panels, and it was brilliantly recorded and edited and the topics that were discussed were all so interesting, so I also want to add my praises for those who worked to actually make this interview and resulting video happen, y'all did a fantastic job!
Glad to see so many actors that had smaller roles at this event. I've never seen a game with better acting than RDR2, and that's because you can tell just how hard they worked at making sure everything was done just right regardless of the size of the role.
Kinda wild they got reds actors he’s actually returned more times to R* then the others cause he’s in red dead revolver gta iv TBOGT and gta v so interesting to see him
It's amazing how stunningly beautiful Meeya Davis is in real life. Looks exactly like Tilly in the game, but cleaned up and in modern dress her beauty shines
The fact that not many of you are mentioning the fact that they went out their way to get the OG himself Red Harlow on the fan meet is crazy!! Honestly an amazing actor and game
This got to my favorite RUclips reccomendations so i am hopeful this video will blow up soon Its really well made for a first RUclips video of the channel! Excellent work
I love that they invite Red Harlow’s voice actor too. It’s not even related to the Redemption games besides the name, but it’s still Red Dead and he’s still a part of it.
Man, its so cool hearing their voices. This is the best cast interview I have ever seen. Im still playing this game today, im on my sixth playthrough in story mode, and just reached level 100 online.
I absolutely love these two games. I played RDR1 in 2011 after my stroke in 2010. I played on my xbox to regain the dexterity in my left hand. I'm a terrible shot and had to enlist my daughter to play the major scenes with the gatlin gun. When John Marston died, I was so upset because I was so invested in the game. I couldn't play for a little over a week after he died. I was given RDR2 for mother's day the year after it was released. This was the year I was declared cancer free. I fell for Arthur just like I had been heavily invested in John. Again, I was very saddened when Arthur died. I finished the game with high honour and especially loved seeing the large buck in the sunset. RDR helped me through two very difficult periods in my life. I am ever so grateful that RDR was my lifeline.
This is a really nice interview. I live on the other side of the world and as much as I'd love to attend these events it's impossible. This video eases the feeling
I’m still just in so much shock and awe that they make the characters look SO similar to their voice actors. I love that you can see the resemblance between actor to character… I know they have to do a lot of movement detail and they do that special thing to take actual features from the actors and apply them to the characters but I just think that is so cool. We have a real life Van der Linde gang..😭❤️
It's so amazing to see how passionate the cast is about the games. And us fans know it and we show our appreciation and they don't take it for granted. It gives me another layer of enjoyment for the series.
Awesome Vid! I played Red Dead Redemption 1 my senior year, it kept me from "hanging out" and getting into trouble. I look back and RDR is a childhood memory I cherish.
This is an amazing interview. How this doesn't have more views I don’t know. Also, it is so incredible to see how much passion and love every actor has for their character and this game.
*Also shout-out to you Harriet! This is very well put together and you're very lucky to had sit down with these amazing actors and talk about their time with the game and cast!! Thank you!*
I played Red Dead Redemption 2 and am currently playing part 3(have been on a break from part three, but have been trying to figure out lately when to start back up). RDR 2 is my favorite of the trilogy though cause of the quality of the game as far as the graphics and acting. There were times during RDR 2 I felt as though I was watching a movie when doing cut scenes cause of both, again, the graphics quality, but especially the acting. If I had to choose which of the cast I would be, it would be a cross between Arthur and John, Arthur for his straight forward aggressiveness and john for his compassionate side, I am a mix of both for those respective reasons in real life. And, John's Wife Abigail is my kind of woman as far as personality, compassionate, but stands up for the ones she loves and cares about when she needs to. It was cool seeing this to get an inside perspective from the cast regarding their parts when it comes to personality. The RDR franchise is on my personal list of my all time RPGs.
Im 56 and played through the game three times and on another playthrough. Having Pong in the seventies this now graybeard Ive seen my Lions share seen games that were great but this is the Masterpiece of games. My G.O.A.T for sure. What great location for this. You did a great job with this. Thank you
To all of the voice cast of RDR2: I bought the game almost a month ago, and I’m enjoying it, every time that I log on to Xbox Live. Each of your voices give the Main Characters of the game Life, Humor and WTF moments. If there’s Oscars award for Video Games, you all should get it, hands!!!

Peter's chuckling is so on character 😭 love it!!
Whenever they speak, their character resonates in them...
Peter’s Chuckling gives me chills
I love that instead of having them "do voices", they were selected because their voices already have so much natural character.
It’s more than just voice though as well. They complete act put the scenes with body performances playing a part.
@@chriswilliams4700we know there talking about the voices though
The fact that rockstar made the characters look a bit like the voice actors is really cool to me
