hey sorry for the delayed response! I actually removed these VMAX 4" lights and went back to Auxbeam's standard 3" pod lights. I added 4 of those to the front bumper, 2 are amber lenses, 2 are clear lenses, and I really like that setup! Reason for pulling these off was they were just a little too big for the space where I had them mounted and I didn't really like the way the I had the power, DRL wired, etc. Nothing against the lights tho they worked great and the 3" lights have been holding up perfect after plenty of abuse and weather.
for night time, absolutely, during the day time though I think they are a little small and might be harder to see. That is a really good idea though...
Are you still running those Auxbeams? I'm looking to add them to my Outback.

Are the drls bright enough to be used as turn signals?
