Please make a distinction between Brush Presets and Actual Brushes that are .abr. It sill remains unclear to me

Think of it this way, June. The .abr is an actual brush file. The Brush presets are customizations on the actual brush file. In other words, if you are working with a Brush that is an .abr file and you want to modify its parameters, you can save the brush as a Tool Preset that includes those additional customizations.

Hi Krishna. Love your drawing style. Im creating a animation comedy and your style is perfect. I made my own brush. I made the blob brush and tweeked it. Just wondering. I had to fix my pen pressure with a add on script. I got a triangle icon when I hit pen pressure. Others had same issue. Theres videos on here about it. But my question is I like the tapering at the ends when I quickly make a line, but I want the constant dark lines. I dont want greyish lines whne I dont press so hard. I want the super dark lines at all times. Should I adjust my setting on my tablet itslef for super sensitive? Thanks.

Thanks for your note Joe. What tablet are you using with Photoshop? I’m wondering if the tablet is not being recognized as having pressure sensitivity… to remove the grayscale values when your line tapers, I would try adjusting the tip feel to make it more toward the Soft side than Firm.

@@KrishnaDraws Oh okay thanks. Im using a Xpen Deco Pro 3. It does have a adjustment in the software for tip pressure. I bet that will work. thanks a lot.

I have the opposite problem. I'm too lazy to find new brushes and don't collect them. That or I'm lost as to what kind of brush I want.

I’ve discovered that the only way to know if I need a new brush is if there is a specific look that I want out of a brush, but can’t achieve it with what I already have. Now I just make what I need, when I need it.

what is the benefit of doing this over just starting with a normal round brush and editing in brush settings? especially for inking
I don't understand the point of using funky custom shapes if you are just gonna turn it into a standard brush that could of been achieved solely in the brush settings? unless you are looking for a niche distinct shape I don't see how these would be any use when inking
not trying to diminish your efforts or the video just new to doing art digitally and comic process so trying to understand why this would be used

Thanks for your comment! I use custom shapes as a starting point to give my brush more character and texture. There is a definite difference in the resultant line.
