I’m a Tenor Saxophone and we played this during the end of the school year, honestly enjoyed it more than our regular concert band songs.

AS A FLUTE IM CHEERING WITH JOY BECAUSE WE SOUND GORGEOUS (we sound horrendous at first but now we devour)
I play flute too lol I was really excited that we had a part where it was just us bc no one can hear us lol then we tried playing that one section and it sounds terrible ! We need so much practice!!!

Great arrangement! i noticed that it was in a different key. The saxophonist probably should've had a redo on that solo though. I am a huge fan of The Incredibles and i think this was well arranged. The Incredibles 2 would be a cool one to hear in the future. The Incredeibles 2 isn't much different but it does have a different style to it and it would be cool to see!

@@Jasonau215Probably to not have it revolve around the saxophone too much. The entire original score by Michael Giacchino is meant to be a very jazzy style and this is a much shorter but sweeter version of his original.

I'm a sax and got the solo in this and man it is rough
Why do so many arrangers strongly simplify everything interesting about this song? The ranges and solos are altered, most likely for ease of playing, but entire parts are being completely left out. For example: (0:20) there should be a simple D F G D , D F G C# run on saxophone (in the original key) during what is now just a flute solo at the beginning. They also completely leave out three saxophone solos/runs (0:55),(1:28),(1:33) if you compare it to the original recording. Its rediculous how low these composers standards are for students, give them an option to play the proper harmonies/extended ranges/solos if you want to keep it faithful to the original it makes playing these songs much more fun and educational.

This song sounds "lower" than the original
at the flute soli part its just D F G for saxes pretty annoying how he left those out and the honking at 10 those were the most important parts
Because its a grade 2 song.
This is why arrangers exist, to simplify an existing piece, If they didn’t cut certain parts of this it would’ve bumped it up another 1 or 2 grades from what it is now. It’s meant to be a simpler version of the original to be able to play in a much less professional band.
Paul Murthas stuff is always either a smig too fast or too slow

Should be one. I sight read it perfectly of the screen first playthrough. Granted the alto 1 part is pretty easy.

I mean it's only 70 measures and everything is sort of unison (like only 3 different parts). But the triplets and 160 bpm tempo can be difficult.
Everything was easy on clarinet except for those darn triplets my band teacher wanted us to Tounge it and play it really fast and loud which is almost impossible
