With a clip in it, you can use the crossbolt as if it had an integrated clip (if you take out the locks). Just open the jamdoor above the clip and slip in a dart. Heck, you can remove that back jamdoor and have the clip always exposed and keep shoving darts into the top of the clip.
Nerf calls it a clip to differentiate from real steel. Gun freaks call it a mag. Others call it clipazines. If you want to be correct according to Nerf, the company making the product you are buying: It's a clip. But does it really matter? No. Calling it a Magazine just makes you seem pretentious.

One of the best showdowns I have ever had was an old jolt vs a new one. I was running a stryfe, he was running a rampage. We both ran out at the same time and decided to use our jolts. I won and then my jolt got its name, "Napoleon: The Little Conqueror"

If Nerf made an Elite remake of the Speedload 6 (designed for Elite darts, less jamming, and Elite ranges) it would be, IMO, the best Nerf sidearm of all time. The design is visually great and comfortable, it's got slamfire, reloading is simple and easy, and there's no need to worry about making sure your next revolver barrel actually contains a dart. Just feed darts in and shoot them out. An Elite version could probably hold eight darts, too - without the bend in the clip, it could be slightly longer to hold one more, and you can keep another chambered.
hey I have a suggestion for a jolt mod (i did this to my original jolt) replace the handle with a triad handle. yo gotta carve out the plus a bit bigger, but it makes the jolt SO much easier to prime when you're under stress.
I personally don’t really like any of those blasters to use in battles, but I do love your list and the reasons they made your list! That is what the hobby is about, flinging foam in creative ways! Btw JOLT #1 ❤
walcom, i have an idea for one of your mods, i dont think you are a huge cosmetic modder but, when u do repaint your guns try sanding off the weird checkers stuff on the handle it makes it more comfortable keep up the good work :)
It probably has to do with what you mentioned about needing new darts, but my Rough Cut is very unreliable for some reason. I simply cannot fire it without a few darts falling out on-prime. It's still fun to mess around with, though.
Wow, the overlap with my "bottom 10" list would be impressive: Diatron (Jam-a-tron) Speedload 6 (SpeedJam 6) And quite frankly, when I do manage to get my hands on a Crossbolt, I'm expecting to detest that as well. But I'll try to give it a real chance. I may have to actually work up my "top" list. Partly to see if the Jolt makes it. But I think it'll probably come in shortly behind a top 10. Also it would make a big difference whether I was composing my favorites "of all time" or favorites for use in 2015. I'll have to think about that...
+Bob O`Bob I dont know if you got one yet, but the only problem with my Crossbolt is that i removed the little spring that makes the sled pull darts back. I can load 2 darts at a time now that locks are removed for a literal shotgun blast.

i totally chopped off my burst wave's blue barrel and put on a air tight single shot nerf barrel along with messing with the pressure valve it gets like 95 fps and is really accurate

I Love using the rapidmaddness for the same reason, but it does really really suck when you get any farther than 35 ft away from someone, have you found any mods for it besides the air tank screw??
I'm very surprised that the speedload 6 and the crossbolt made it into your favourite list. My NERF group's problem with the speedload 6 is that as some may have mentioned before, it jams, a lot. In this video, you can just go pick darts up and shoot it back at your opponents. What do you do to not make it jam? Do the jam rates also decrease because you're using elite darts rather than the orange N-Strike darts? For the Crossbolt, the complaint we had about it was how small it was and how its size and bow arms affected the priming mechanism. How in the world did you do it?

+NoeyeB0b The Spiderman Dart Tag Blaster. Comes with both a Spidermand and Venom variant in the same box. A *very* good blaster. All my loadouts (that don't have thumbhole stocks) include that thing. It's so satisfying to reach over cover and fire a shotgun blast that nobody is expecting.
I must give you props for the strongarm it also was my first elite and in my neighborhood i just wrecked people and sthe slamfire... I emptied the turred in about 3 seconds so yeah...
btw the longshot, nitefinder and jolt arnt the olny nstrike inverse plunger. There are the mag strike, barricade, stampede? (i think), vulcan and probably more
I got the newer rough cut and for some reason the 2 stage trigger doesn't work you have to pull it the pull it again so the slamfire doesn't work but it's kind of useful because you can prime it shoot one the shoot it again without much effort
So many people love the strongarm and I don't understand why. I have one and it shoots like crap. Maybe I'll have to get another one and give it another chance.
Just saying a hammershot spring fits into a jolt perfectly and it makes it shoot way harder

I would highly recommend that, also buy 2 springs for it because it needs 2 springs for mods

I never learned enough about the Diatron to mod any. But I do regularly see them in thrift stores with the handle sticking out and immovable.
