Did you know that some blasters have magazines you can't remove? Ironically there are people that don't know what a magazine is. Regardless, here's some of the differences between the two and how it can affect your game.

Lemme know if you want more videos like this.
LET IT BE KNOWN THAT I WOULD. Sorry, I had to
Yea I like stuff like this
Yee
Yes. Do it, man.
yes
Nerf could bring back the Dart Tag line by gluing Velcro to the front of accustrike darts!
Brilliant idea, you are now hired by hasbro
This is the kind of content I want to see on a regular basis. But I also want to see an equal amount of stupid videos about gluing Rapidstrike's together, too.
I'm working on it.
Agreed
Nerf Gun Attachments try pronouncing NGA like a word.
we can never have too many rapidstrike taping
Thank god somebody that says magazine instead of "clip"
I call clips clips and mags mags.
WalcomS7 toungue twister
Like coop 772 actually calls it a mag
I really want stripper clips in nerf tho
Quick fix for not having any ammo for your secondary, use a air blaster with modular attachments that can fire any possible ammo type fired at you
So... Captain Xavier's entire loadout?
Walcom, thank you for the alternative look at nerf blasters. I appreciate the thought process behind your alternative view point and perhaps one day I will get to try it myself.
The Nerf magazines I have the most of right now is the 6 dart magazine (I have 8 right now).
ALSO: BARRICADE MASTER RACE!
STOCKADE MASTER RACE
I love the barriccade
+Lars Van Den Broek Firefly master race!
Stockade elite version on op
+Lars Van Den Broek With you, and the stock is like a %150 better retaliator stock.
Walcom's argument (exists)
Hasbro: hold my beer (releases the infinus)
Infinus users: your argument is invalid.
Riker Hatfield ha, the infinus is very hard to mod so unless I'm In a stock war, nope
great video walcom, I really enjoy people bringing new perspectives into the horizon of Nerf and making them well known. this is why I always run at least one front loading gun, like the toughest so i can secure tags easily and keep it on the fly.
This is what I don't get about people all like "Hey ima buy more hoppers for the Perses so I can reload faster"
This video sums up the types of blasters I love to use. When playing at home for fun I'd rather used a fixed magazine than a removable because, with a removable, the game has to stop when one of us runs out of ammo. With fixed mags, the game keeps going until we get tired, because we pick up and load as we shoot. And another plus is that I love to reload blasters as much as I love shooting them. Removable mags makes reloading boring. Coop772 should watch this video, because he is all about flywheel removable-mag blasters and never recommends anything else as a primary.
Walcom, this video was really good! It was much easier to understand your love for internal magazines and front loaders, and really helped me revise my loadouts for different scenarios! Thanks!
I should probably go back and do my Primary/Secondary videos now.
i went to jared's epic nerf battle 2 with a jolt as my primary (I had my alpha trooper, but found myself using my jolt more often) and was killing everyone!
Lol
You are the Loch Nerf Monster, a Jolt master
You shall use a alpha trooper to replace the internals of the quik 16
I'd like to see a vid of you in some kind of war or battle!
That would be good!
Walcom, I see your point here, but honestly it looks like personal preference. I feel like I could pull out my magazine and reload it faster than I could some sort of revolver. I'm also a magazine fanboy, but they do have their uses, if you are use to intense wars where you have to constantly fire a lot of foam before you get a break. Then I think the magazines would be more efficient. With that said, I too would probably use a non-magazine fed blaster as my secondary. I don't play, I just live vicariously through my daughter, so I buy her Nerf guns when I can, but sadly she's not nearly as interested into Nerf as my step son is, but I only see him maybe a few times a month.
This video brings back the phrase: "Save the best for last."
in pistol rounds i reload my hammer shot as i fire so im never really empty until im completely out, which almost never since i always carry at least 40 loose darts at all times
Test to see if you still have notifications on this channel
@@blizzardgaming7070 I'm not even subbed but I get them for comment replies lol
You know, why doesn't nerf make stripper clips? I mean they would work pretty good for the sticky elite darts. They would work AMAZING on guns that use shells.
Well they'd probably have to make a new system for stripper clips but I'd love to see something like that.
Baker Tankersley STRIPPER CLIPS!!!!!!!! OH YES
What about open jam door mods? I carved out the jam door of my slingfire so that I can reload the mag from the top
Torys Account I do that
Mmmm, top-offs.
Genius mod!
This is why I want the Infinus. It has the benefits of both internal AND external mag systems.
or... you can just get a modified hailfire with all 22 worker mags...
pppft reloading is for plebs!
why stop at one hailfire?
yep dual wield 22x8 hail fires.
Make some circular holder to reload them all at once...
Walcom will probably stick two hailfires together and call it a mod
9:20 almost every player in hvz has socks. If being charged while in the 3 or 4 seconds of switching mags you would throw a sock.
Then you lose a sock that can be used against zombies that can only be hit with socks. What then?
Use a secondary with different ammo. Problem solved
dude, this video was AWESOME!!!!! I want to see this on a regular basis for SURE
while airsoft is legal AND very popular in my area, i wouldn't complain if there was a niche Nerf group in my area. My primary would definitely be a heavily modified blaster with an internal mag because they remind me of shotguns like a SPAS-12.
I use a colossal blitz as my primary, so I completely get your idea of topping off darts as you go. and it is so good during rounds, I'm really surprised no one else uses cylinder/clipless blasters
Internal mags I think are great for secondaries and are great for CQB, same thing for front loaders
I'd like to see a hybrid between the Rapidstrike and the Quick 16....
Still the best one you've ever made since 2016
I love this content walcom I would love to see a lot more
I can tell you are really biased on an internal magazine!
That's why I've made a triple magazine Rapidstrike and a double Hyperfire.
WalcomS7 OH MY GOD! YOU ACTUALLY REPLIED! YOU'RE MY FAVORITE RUclipsR!!! But btw, good point👌
Good point, which is why I try to use a mag fed for primary and a internal mag for secondary :)
yes this was helpful, even confirmed ideas I had. Thankyou
Nope, I’m going to open my jam door and load darts into the mag while it’s in the blaster, my likeing of internal magazines/turret fed blasters is why I do this
Do the same, except remove the jam door entirely
I love these discussions of tactics and gear and look forward to more videos of this kind. By all means, continue flying RSs together as well.
Also, magazines take up large amounts of space without holding much ammo. If you had a spinanity or something else that takes no magazines, you could hold a ton of darts. Not only that, but mags are bulky. Dart holders are not.
thanks for making this video Walcom. internal mags are cool.
I love blasters like the quick 16 and the pistol version the speed loader 6 I have lots of dump pouches filled with ammo so I can top of what I’m using great video and needed to be made 😁
I am also trying to change the way my old quick 16 works and make it perform on par with elite stuff. The main gripe I have with it is, the curved magazine(for elites of kooshes) and the top loading. It is really difficult to grab darts and put them into the magazine from the top in an effective manner. I want to replace the magazine with a 25 round drum and make the dart loading from the rear. But in order to do that one needs to be able to lower the dart follower so a new dart can be slid in from the rear. You can use an 18 round magazine and just attach a bar to the follower that sticks out(I hate this idea), or a gear system using a switch(near the trigger hand or pump hand) and a geared belt.
What I am trying to do in simple terms is increase the reliability, ammo, and simplify the loading so it is more efficient and faster. Like a real life internal tube magazine shotgun I don't want the loading to be a 2 hand action(where I need to change the position of both of my hands like one would need to do in order to reload a magazine they removed from their empty blaster.) where either the forward or rear hand pushes the lever to move the dart follower down and the other hand grabs a dart and slides it in, and repeat.
I want to see your progress and what you decide to do with your Quick 16.
And now we have the awesome infinus
Totally agree. Also buying a ton of magazines can be VERY expensive.
Awesome video man! Keep up the great work!
Agreed, hes a natural. look out coop haha
that's why I always carry two hammershots as my secondaries and have a kronos as a last ditch secondary with a stryfe or regulator as my primary.
Reloading a magazine defeats the whole point of a magazine, thats why you carry lots more with you
Idea, can you combine both, like having an external feeding slot into where the magazine is?
You could just use one of my non patented quickie-mags
for the longest time my dream has been to have a magazine fed blaster with a breech open enough that you can load the magazine while it's still in the blaster
Screw a hammershot or a strongarm, I either run a lawbringer with the stock removed or a rough cut as my secondary, opposite a mag fed flywheel blaster such as a demolisher, modulus or a rapidstrike. I prefer a demolisher bc it helps to conserve ammo.
I tend to have full mags on my belt but top up from in in a swarm fire as i find that the darts are the right way when i grab them
The ability to top off on the go as well as do a super quick reload(like with a drop clip strongarm) is very powerful.
If I was to stick to Nerf Darts, I'd probably be running 6's or 12's in my clipazine Pump/Semi-Auto blasters (Stryfe/reshells, Retaliator or pump-action Longshots), with a front-loader like the Roughcut as secondary/backup on my leg with a Triad in a pocket as "Oh sh...." or sneak-up in CQC where I can hold a bunch of darts in my fist and quickly top the blaster up between shots.
"Why the 6's and 12's?" you might ask. Very simple reason - MUCH faster to fully reload them compared to 18's & 25's, so if you're carrying like 20x 6's on you and have burnt through like 10 of them, a few handfuls of loose darts from a dump pouch will quickly get you back near max capacity when you get a breather. Also forces you to be careful and conservative with your shots so you're not swapping clipazines every second or 2 (if you're running modded Rapidstrikes and Hyperfires, then I won't blame you for sticking to 18's and 25's since they last a bit longer than 6's and 12's under full-auto fire).
I cut open the top of my stryfe under the jamdoor so I can topload it, avoiding both the problems. Just open the jamdoor and ready to load, still revving
music. hit the pokemon nostalgia hard
loving these videos, keep doing what you're doing! this video makes me want a flip fury though
also just curious on your thoughts on the battlescout not so much the camera gimmick but the built-in-clip
+the face place very true, it really would need a big clip.
Although I'm not a big nerfer, I do agree with you, you shouldn't have a primary that uses box mags, and a secondary that ALSO uses the same box mags, that defeats the point, If that's what you're planning to do, just bring more box mags, lol. But I, personally would bring something like a flywheel primary like the Raven for spraying and praying, and another slower but more accurate weapon such the BoomCo halo Blasters or the strongarm. That way, if I have a strong arm, I can use the same ammo, but don't have to become a sitting duck trying to load darts into a magazine.
I like internals like my magnus and cylinders like the strongarm for secondaries and magazine fed blasters for a primary
These theory videos are great. You should make updated ones.
I think that the stratobow has a good system, where you can reload on the field and still have a decent capacity.
If I go to Endwar 2018, my load out will probably be:
Primary: Nerf Rival Nemesis; High rate of fire, high capacity, and easy to reload on the field.
Secondary: Nerf Rough Cut: Shotgun that can fire 2 Elite darts in a trigger pull and easy to reload (front loader)
Backup: Nerf Jolt (option 1); Small (easy to fit in a pocket) and easy to reload
BoomCo Halo M6 (option 2); Also Small, can fire BoomCo darts (more accurate than Elite darts), and if modified, better performance.
good vid! great points made and basically explains why i have a hammershot on the back of my battle belt. keep up the great work!
also why im working on a breach loading shotgun-prime longshot with an internal mag so i have a k-26 powerhouse that i can always top off
hah, thanks im not trying to show off though im just proving walcom's point on this vid
At Endwar, you could use a Stockade.
Very good points made in this video!
I don't agree, simply because in HvZ you have socks for panic moments. I use a stryfe as my primary, with 6 extra 18 mags. The only reason I have a sidearm is in case of jam, and if the few darts in a small sidearm don't get you by long enough to fix the jam you were going to die anyway. (My sidearm is a retaliator pistol with a 6 mag)
all of your videos are good
this video makes a lot of sense I like the mags but this is perfectly debatable
for nerf wars i use a modified maverick(secondary) and swarmfire as a primary and the nerf n-strike giant axe thing for this purpose.
Lol the quick 16 looks like its been in a landfield.
What if you somehow put a flywheel cage and a pusher on the quick 16? It wouldn't be a springer but you would be able to get the ranges and keep the built in magezine
I hope Walcom revisits this when he reviews the Nerf Infinus. It might actually be a good solution for this. It has just as much room for darts as the BoomCo Spinsanity 3X that he shows in the video (30 darts), and you can top it off from the top.
You know what is the best though? A removable magazine that your able to top load with. Im making one of those with a crossbolt (Got the idea from you)
Ill also make it pump action, and then ill have my new outdoor primary
But the cross bolt chews up darts like a monster.
Once someone makes strip clips for the top-loading system, they will never lose a battle.
Very interesting explanation. I guess the Rival Nemesis would be good if you do dart scavenging, and periodic top ups. And I know about how much you love the Buzz Bee Rail Blaster for the same reason.
Yeah the Rival Nemesis is definitely going to be one of the biggest players in NERF, it's only flaw is the ammo which is less-useful in higher modded wars because it has somewhat more limited range (due to the light weight and reliance on spin for stability) than darts at higher velocities.
Komodo spontaneity is only 10$ on amazon at the time this video was posted
Boomco spinsanity, Damn auto correct
The crossbolt can be top loaded if you remove/ open the back door.
I think I need to pick up a spinsanity
worth.
I keep forgetting what drum mags have the springs that don't like it when you try to use it vertically but works horizontally just fine.
Yeah they have problems fighting gravity.
I guess the flip drum isn't meant to be.
I heard that someone lubricated the insides and it fixed the whole gravity problem.
Or nowadays, use a Nemesis.
I've made a prototype stripper clip, perhaps a final version would help with the magazine problem?
I bough X-Shot Turbo Advance becouse i've seen this video, thank you.
It's almost perfect springer!
The Spinsanity is the only Boomco blaster i really want. About the best multi cylinder blaster out there over all imho
I agree that it always seemed a tad odd to have a secondary or tertiary that uses the same mags as the primary. Burns through you reload store more quickly
But i will say that the upcoming Infinus does kind of solve the problem with scavenging that mag fed blasters have
I thought the spinsanity cylinders looked familiar check out forgotten weapons vid on the Blake bolt action rifle
I agree I just need a good preformance top loading priamry but right now theres not alot of options
Hey walcom I'm a long time sub your channel has came so far it's great it's funny how some people don't know about fixed mags but I won't make fun of them lol your are awesome walcom
not sure if to modify the boom co spin-sanity to look like a Fallout gun or a Borderlands gun.
bordelands would be a lot harder
+Handsome Jack I don't know Jackie boy.. I can do it cuz I have a long dick that shoots slag/shock splodge..
+Bernardlv. well, good luck with the paintjob lol
Fallout cus it's better
Really nice video
I wish they made a new internal dart magazine with a quick loader like the quick 16 or speedloader
file of the jam door and you can reload your mag whilst it is in the blaster
THIS GUY DOESN'T EVEN SAY A WORD OF ADVICE. HE IS JUST EXPLAINING SITUATIONS AND COMPLAINING
hoppers.
hippity hoppity all dis power in my 30 kg rainbow means no jams
Please make more of these!
I'm waiting to see if you can actually buff the Quick 16, I like the thing, but I don't know if I want for the performance aspect.
The nerf infinus has fixed this problem. You can load your magazine and point/shoot at someone
I agree that internal mags have their place, but what happens if your in CQB, you empty your whole internal mag/cylinder and someone is rushing you? I am slightly biased ;-)
I usually use a Demolisher or a Retaliator as my primary with a barricade or a Speedload Six as my secondary.
I love using my White Retaliator because it looks awesome and matches the Modulus acessories. I have it set up like an M-4 with the Long Range scope and a Bipod on an Modulus Barrel. THen my Verticle grip is on Main Barrel
Yeah, I like the Retaliator, too.
THEY NEED TO REMAKE THE QUICK 16!!!!!!
+WalcomS7 Do you think a single shot rifle which you reload after each shot and a strongarm would be a good combo
you can breach load all magazine fed blasters with a jam door
I like the new intro!
