She came back to voice Betty Boop in Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. It had been 50 years since she had done the voice and she was in her 80’s. So Betty Boop saying “I still got it” in the movie just makes me emotional after learning that.
Mae Questel /ˈmeɪ ˌkwɛˈstɛl/ (born Mae Kwestel, September 13, 1908 - January 4, 1998) was an American actress. She was best known for providing the voices for the animated characters Betty Boop (from 1931), Olive Oyl (from 1933)
My grandma would always watch the old Betty boop cartoons with me and my sister when we were little, and she’d did a really good Betty boop impression, god I miss her, those days we won’t ever get back but at least I still have my memories
Don’t Know how I ended up here. But I’m glad I did. I had no idea that the lady in Christmas vacation was the same lady who did the voice of Betty Boop and stuff. I also didn’t know if she did The voice of Popeyes girlfriend, or any of that interesting information.
I'm the first person to comment on the video which is something that makes me special and no one can take that away from me unless you delete my comment but please don't do that.

In the '30s Betty Boop was much criticized because she looked like a “young prostitute”, even so her character was very nice and the drawing continued to be passed on.....

And she sounds exactly the same as she did when she last voiced the character in the 30s that’s amazing

I have a fantasy in which "The Great Gatsby" was filmed in 1935 with James Cagney and Mae Questel as Gatsby and Daisy.

Helen Kane IS Betty Boop tho.
Yet Mae Questel is the one who voiced her.
And Helen Kane stole her act from Baby Esther, if anyone deserves credit it’s Esther Lee Jones x
