What a fantastic actress. She was multi-talented and multi-dimensional as an actress. Some of her scenes in Petticoat Junction are so touching. I felt her words, and her words touched my heart.. How many actresses can make that claim about their acting ability.

One of the most underrated actresses ever. Up there with Margaret Dumont and June Foray, who succeeded her as the main female voice in the Warner Brothers cartoons. I really don't think that George and Gracie would have been as successful on TV without her.

Bea Benaderet was one of the most underrated but very talented Actresses in Hollywood. I remember watching her as a child on Petticoat Junction. My parents grew up in rural towns of which had so many amazing similarities to this show. The character Kate Bradley was taken to heart so much so when she passed away all Mom told us was “Kate died.” The show was never the same.

Thank you for doing this video. Bea has long been one of my favorites. I love when she sang "The Five O'Clock Whistle" in a Looney Tunes cartoon.

Thank you! This was a fun one to research. I had always figured June Foray originated a lot of those Looney Tunes characters, so I really surprised to learn that Bea voiced them first

Was Aunt Pearl the sister of Jed Clampett or his sister-in-law?
What ever happened to her lovely on-screen daughter Jethrine?

Max Baer probably got tired of dressing in drag and lip-synching to Linda Kay Henning's voiceovers.

@@AnthonyScibelliUnsungLegends He was one of only two actors to work with all 4 incarnations of the stooges, almost took over for Larry, appeared on Let’s Make a Deal and Watermelon Man. Had a knack for playing old man characters despite being much younger than the Stooges themselves. Probably their finest character actor foil (see clip from Gypped in the Penthouse)

Bea did best as Betty Rubble. Sorry for her untimely death. Gerry Johnson did fine as the new Betty.
