Looks awesome!!! Did you ever connect those two smaller harnesses? I’ve seen another install video where they connected the harness inside trunk light to the outside tail light. Done for both sides...
Nah! The other one was for older model years. The other connector i didn't connect. Im assuming it may be for computer use to upload files for special coding initially when they were made.

Hey great video man! I’m pre lci even so tossing up whether to pick up OEM shadowline lci tails or these GTS style tails. Seems like a no brainer with these being cheaper than OEM.
Question are the oled fins individually lit up? Or are they just staggered and lit up in blocks behind them?
So the individual leds light up for the lights! Thats at least what i can gather when i look at them.
Ah yep! They are individual saw a video that compares side to side. What do you think about the double flash of the oleds right at the end of the start up sequence? Do you think it’s possible to code that part out?

So what was the small plug that you showed us and said you didn't know what was it for... did you figure it out? Do we need to plug anything there?
i posted in another video that it is the link for the brake light to ensure that both light up when brakes applied.

It seemed like it was just extra possibly for another model?
Actually i found that that extra one has to be threaded through the liner and connected to the main light and is used to illuminate additional portion when braking
Are the turn signals amber/orange. I'm headed to the UK with my car (also YMB F80 ZCP) and the UK requires amber turn signals.

Hey man just got these today. Do you know what the small wire at 7:14 is for? Did you plug them in?
gonna make a video of that soon! it connects inner to outer brake lights so the entire taillights light up when the brakes are applied. someone linked me bimmerpost where previous tail lights that were aftermarket had the same issue. you run it through the inner liner and up to the trunk lights where the reverse lights are. there's a connector for that extra wire

Haha honestly is patience theirs a small Lip if I remember that has to grab onto before it can sit properly

Did you have any issues with the trunk lights bolting on correctly? For some reason I can’t get the tension on them to keep them on. That little 45 degree tab doesn’t sit in its hole properly

Did u have any problems installing the lights on the trunk. I’m having trouble with the inner lights. Towards the license plate the light sticks out can’t Seem to get them flush. Any Advice?
Theres a little lip on the outer portion that clips into the bumper it may not be fully in slide that portion in and once its clipped in you can tighten that portion that attaches to the inner side

When you step on the brakes do they light up all at once and stay static or do they do some sort of fade in sort of like the unlock? Cant find a clear answer

I ordered these from bayoptiks, it has been over a week and I still haven't heard from them. my order still says "unfulfilled". did you experience any issues with your order? how long did it take to get your tails?
No i have not.. They may possibly be out of stocj?

Yeah it would theres an extension for pre lci! And they both work.

@@bryhsiao so they didnt come with any instructions, but what i did notice the electrical components had chinese.. They were mint and they fit perfect! Ive seen some people online talking about alibaba but im not sure. The only reason i trusted bay optiks is their return policy and also the ease of a us seller.. But id say bite the bullet if its cheap. But these are worth the wait!

After some time I've come to realize this, but what makes buying from them or a notable company is the ease of return and the reliability of the seller.
I can't count how many times I've bought things from china, and I'm unable to return it. I sent something back to china and they claimed I never sent it back to them and Ebay sided with them simply because USPS was taking too long during covid to send back.
