I just went to a M Track day where I was able to check out the G80 and G82 - it just made me fall for my M4C 6MT all over again (the new cars definitely are incredible btw) because the difference between the platforms honestly isn’t really noticeable. Keep the great content coming as the F8X folks will be around for a long time 😎

Great video! Slightly off-topic, but which rear diffusers and front lips did you end up sticking with? I saw you switched your around a few times but was curious where you landed. I just installed OEM M Performance spoilers on my F80 and want to get CF rear diffusers next. thanks!

Hi tommy, great video! I have a question about Bootmod3. Do you think a crankhub upgrade is worth it if I just modify the stock map to add burbles(I got a non ZCP)? Will my warranty be voided if I add burbles to stage 0?
In my mind crank hubs are needed regardless of tune/map. It's a peace of mind...a $4K peace of mind....

Really tempting. Good fitment but how is the quality? Does condensation occurs? I rem i read somewhere somebody mention about condensation issue.
Oem quality. No joke. Zero issues.
Is that valvetronic ticking fine? Mine only makes that loud ticking every once in a while, every time I hear it I say I need to replace soon then it goes quiet again. I’ve heard it loudly like that maybe 5 times in two years usually on frigid winter days. The gts tail lights look amazing, I’ll get them soon enough. Great video as always.

Nope. No motor. Zero noise.
Hey Tommy that long black wire you connected to the inner isn't required for us lci f30's since our oem tailights are led already! That wire is for the pre lci ones you can either cut off that long black wire or just tuck it away in the behind the bumper!
It’s needed from what I’ve read to make sure the brake light also lights up on the trunk piece. Oem ones don’t do that.
That is true. If you want to have the inner brake lights light up on these aftermarket tails when applying the brakes, the long black wire is required to be connected. There is no inner brake light on the OEM lights - both pre-LCI and LCI. And from a tail light wiring and function perspective, the LCI F30’s are the same as the LCI F80’s….

Dreaded S55 Valvetronic ticking when you unlock the car 🤔. 4 years on my 17F80 it’s done it...never an issue though. Taillights look 👍🏼.

Tommy, was any coding required after the install? I have a 2019 F90 M5. BMW tail light replacements were installed by prior owner. I’m getting error messages for brake lights and turn signals. BMW tells me the lights are for newer M5 model and aren’t compatible. They want to charge me $2,400 to reinstall originals, which is BS. Any suggestions? Thanks

I don't even have the LCI ones, i might get these but don't like taking stuff like that apart, the headlights were a nightmare to begin with lol
This is much easier than headlights
They look nice and all but those 50 ohm resistors are game changer for me, they melted my OEM headlight hub when I installed with LEDs at the time, so I'm not really willing to mess with them again. Just keep an eye out for yours.

I've found some carbon fiber suppliers to RW and others on Ali express. Good place to buy direct since 99% of stuff comes from china anyways, just takes forever to arrive. So far quality and fitment is spot on.

Hey unrelated to the taillights but I saw someone had success with performing a valvetronic reset via ISTA. May be worth a shot before having to replace the valvetronic motor. Sweet tails btw :)

Interestingly, the taillights they sent you, look better than the ones shown in the Kies installation video. The ones in the Kies video have no detail lines in the OLED panels.

Hello Tommy. Great diy! Nice job bro. I have a question. I installed these tail lights to my f30 2014 320i ed. And I realized one thing. When I switch on tail lights at garage the fm receiver do not take signals well, then switching off the tail lights the fm tuner signals gettin well. What is the main reason about this issue ? About accumulator (battery) amper or smtg another thing?
That is very strange. I never heard of anything like that and the tail lights do not transmit any radio waves. Did you connect all the wires properly?

Great, do you still have them installed and if so are there any issues, more specifically with condensation, so far that’s my biggest pet peeve with some aftermarket taillights even some OEM, it looks great though.
