I have the echo show 15. My grandfather has an echo show 10. Each week we sit and have coffee together. We see each other and even show items to each other. It is ❤
We have to be a bit more realistic here. True the Echo Show 21 is not the most responsive screen compared to, say, your typical ipad (though I have experienced frustrating screen response issues over the years with some ipads having used them since the first one in 2010). But a basic ipad, the 13" ipad air, is twice the price of the 21 inch Echo Show. Guess how much Apple would charge for a 21 inch device with the same screen technology of an ipad? I find it perplexing how people in this day and age expect the best technology for the bare minimum price. Things just don't work that way. Meanwhile, the Echo Show 21 is an all around excellent home assistant at a price that other companies like Apple could never match.
@@larryb4392 Oh man...this is not a "bare minimum price" product, now you can find 120hz screens on everything, but the lame products apple sell, Amazon could do a lot better for that price, but these products are "bare minimum" specs for as much money they can charge, with that money you can get a tv box and a 144hz monitor instead
We have a gen 1 Echo 15 that we bought on Woot for $150, and we love it! We bought it to replace our bedroom TV, which was too big and which we rarely watched. It quickly became our favorite Echo device. In the morning we can check the weather, our commute, and check our security camera to see if we need to scrape ice off of our windshield. We can also check the local news to see if there are any school delays. When we do want to watch TV in the bedroom the Echo 15’s small screen is adequate. It uses easy to criticize all of the echo devices. They can be laggy, Alexa has been dumbed down to encourage people to pay for the AI version (if it ever comes out). The ads seem to really annoy people, but we don’t even notice them. For us, the utility of the Show 15 outweighs its faults. We love it! But I wouldn’t pay $300 for it!

Be best feature is that it is powered instead of rechargeable. She enjoyed the Ring Cameras and photos. I have an Echo and a Dot. I don’t think I would use this any more than I use the dot and Echo. Thanks for this overview.
I own the previous generation. We use it in our bedroom 😊. The Echo 15, the new one in our living room. We love it. Not so much the price! The new stand is overpriced. I watch TV over it, ask Alexa, add something to the shopping list, calendar etc... I wish it had more widgets available. Overall a nice smart display from Amazon.
I like the concept of this product for sharing photos and calendars. I look forward to Apple's answer in this category. I am sure it will be very awesome.
I can't believe that thing cost a lot more than this brand new 50 inch 4K Roku smart TV I just got for my bedroom on sale for like $130! which has a new 4K fire Max stream stick connected to it that cost me about $20 Yeah, that's not going to work for me and I still have My Other Amazon echo show 8 that works great. I'm not sold on this! I'll wait for next year on prime day when they have a sale and this might be a lot cheaper. Good reveal bro!
I thought it would be great for a common room calendar device. But it doesn’t sync with any other calendars. You have to redo you events in the separate calendar. That’s really dumb and needless to say, it doesn’t get used for that. It’s basically a kitchen TV.
The previous Echo Show 15 model had the ability to upload smartphone photos directly to the Echo Show and display them as photo frames. However, from the video at 8:45, it looks like that feature has been lost. It would be great to know if that feature is still there!
We have 2024 version of the echo show 15. Incredibly laggy and buggy. Very frustrating to use. Lots of promises of what it could do, but in everyday life it is ridiculously underpowered, and does not even come close to what it promises to deliver. We constantly have to unplug it just to get it to work for basic use. I would only be interested in the 21-inch version if it was sporting a significantly upgraded and more powerful CPU, faster and more memory. In short, a nice idea very badly implemented with way underpowered CPU and interface. If you know anything about computers you will stay away until they make this thing even close to what they promise.
A wall-mounted picture frame screen/monitor smart home device. I can see homes with this device in every room, allowing parents to track and monitor their children's use, manage home security, and check on their pets. So what will Apple's response offer become? Lol!😂🎉

In fact just having a look at the Samsung site now, the 32" version of The Frame is actually $550 too (you said at 0:08 that Echo Show 21 was $400, but I see that as the price for Echo Show 15). Tough sell when that's the case. I did like that the OOBE was rather slick in that you were already logged in before you even got a chance to log in.
Echo Show 15 is $299 and Echo Show 21 is $399 as we speak on Amazon US. You may not like Amazon, or its ecosystem or whatever else your issue is, but it is definitely not useless to many of us. The Echo line has been the dominant home assistant tool for many years with its abilities and skills well publicized during that time. So surely you knew of its capabilities beforehand. But yet you bought the Echo Show 15 (I assume that is what you meant by "the smaller one") anyway?
No Danish language support.?
Won't be buying anything within the Echo Show brand due to how locked down it is.
How worthless.
This may just win The useless tech award of the year. 😂
