So relaxing. Would love to see more pranayama tutorials as well as any book recommendations about the eight limbs of yoga (or videos on that too).

Hi David/Jelena, huge thank you for this. Two things - 1) Is pranayama pronounced pranayama or pranayama? 2) yes please to more pranayama.🙏🙏🙏

Thankyou, a great tutorial. I'm very interested in pranayama. I enjoyed the drum, it was very grounding and centering.

Thanks, it's good to get your Ashtanga perspective on pranayama exercise. I have done 3-part breath less formally within vinyasa classes. Abdominal breathing is no problem for me ( maybe because as a teenager my oboe teacher taught it me as a musical technique) and the other inhale stages follow naturally. What I find difficult is isolating the upper chest on exhale...focusing on where the diaphragm is seems to help, keeping abdomen still is tricky.

Really enjoyed this, I've done this type of breathing in the past but forgot about how to release and relax to enable the inhale, and this put me back in touch with that. Thank you. For me the inhale and exhale have to feel quite different and then I get in touch with the movement of energy after the physical side becomes automated.

Really enjoyed this exercise. It helps me to integrate meditation in my practice which I sometimes forget... Becoming aware of the three parts of the breath, especially the middle area, is new and kind of weird. Will keep practicing. Thank you.

why not do 15 seconds instead of 12 which will translate to 2 breaths per minute? divide into 5 seconds instead of 4...
